Chapter 980 - Chapter 666 Spider Silk Miracle (Middle)_1

What profession poses the greatest threat to a mage?

Some believe it's a warrior, others a assassin, but actually, it's a seer... who possesses the strength of a warrior and the speed of an assassin.

Looking at Loki who was being violently swung around by his leg by Peter, Steve frowned with sympathy. He turned to Shiller and Strange and said, "Um... should we just stand by and do nothing?"

"Yeah, maybe." Strange nodded, casting an amplification spell on himself, and shouted out, "Peter! He's about to cast a defense spell! Interrupt him!... Yes, bypass his shield! Jump on his head! Throw him! Good job!!"

It was only after Peter had struck Loki to the ground that Stark flew over. Pretending to be concerned, he said, "Jarvis, launch the capture net. Block Peter first..."

With a swoosh, a capture net flew out from the arm of the mecha, but it completely missed Peter. Loki managed to get up from the ground, dusted off, and said, "Is your targeting system made of wood? Aim to the right!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Peter pounced again. Loki hurriedly dodged, but failed, and was sent flying once more. He hastily casted a defense spell on himself to avoid serious injury, shouting, "Stop him quickly! His strength is growing!"

Without him pointing out, the others had also noticed. Initially, Peter could only knock Loki back a couple steps, but as time passed, he was able to toss Loki around like a rag doll. The next time he was thrown, he even created a pit in the ground.

If this continued, unless they called Thor, no one would be able to withstand Peter's punch. Steve was the first to step up, tapping his shield. As expected, Peter turned towards him and attacked. When his punch landed on the shield, Steve was pushed back several meters, his ankle sinking into the ground.

Seizing this opportunity, Stark flew over to launch the capture net again. But as soon as his targeting system locked onto Peter, Peter would immediately dodge, and even after multiple attempts, it remained the same.

It was clear that under these circumstances, Peter's spider-sense was on superdrive. Eventually, whenever Stark even thought about targeting him, Peter would immediately keep his distance from Stark's mecha.

"Is he learning?" From a distance, Natasha was observing the situation through a telescope and said, "His abilities are getting stronger and stronger, we can't continue like this..."

Finishing her sentence, the agent reached for the walkie-talkie attached to her waist, connecting to Steve and said, "No, we need to fight in space, or he'll definitely pose a risk to the cities on the Earth's surface."

"But the problem is, we can't hold him back. So how do we bring him into space?" Steve replied, defensively holding his shield, then said, "If we knew this would happen, we should've chosen space as the battlefield..."

"Right, doesn't he have a symbiote in his body?" Natasha suddenly remembered. She said, "The red one, what's it called again? Red Bee? Can't he control his body?"

"I'll try!" Steve hurled his shield again, which Peter effortlessly dodged. He glanced back at Steve, Steve shouted at him, "Red Bee? Red Bee! Are you there? Control Peter's body, we need to bring him to space!"

Yet there was no response from Peter. Shiller dissipated into a cloud of gray mist, making contact with Peter's body, which woke up the sleeping Red Bee.

"What are you doing? Why were you asleep?" The gray mist asked.

"...I don't know. Suddenly, a surge of power entered my host's body. I absorbed some of it and am currently digesting it. When a symbiote is digesting power, it sleeps... I'm sorry, did I hold up something?" Red Bee spoke sleepily.

"You absorbed some of that power. Do you know what that was?" Shiller asked.

"I don't know, but it benefits me. I haven't finished digesting it yet, so I don't know its exact function. What would you like me to do?" Red Bee asked.

"Can you suppress Peter's body? His instinct is too powerful. If we continue like this, it will destroy the city."

"The kind of instinct he gained is amazing, I've never seen it before, so I don't know how to control it. But I can keep him quiet for a bit... about ten minutes..." Red Bee replied.

"That's enough."

After the two symbiotes finished their conversation, it only took a few seconds for Peter to stop unnaturally, remaining frozen mid-dash, with Shiller's gray mist surrounding him. They then shot upwards, breaking through the atmosphere to reach space.

The only one who followed him up was Stark. The others weren't adapted for space combat. With a newly replenished vigor, Peter was darting around the cosmos, beating up celestial debris here, clearing up space trash there, while Shiller and Stark could only watch from the sidelines.

Stark rubbed his brows, "I think... we can't go on like this. What if one of the asteroids gets wholly captured by the Earth's gravity and becomes a meteor that lands on someone?"

"What about your robots?"

"Which one of them do you think can withstand even one punch from him? If he shatters one with a punch, won't that just become new space trash?"

"I think... we need to find some tools...I mean, temporary mercenaries, who are capable of fighting in space." Shiller mused aloud, exchanging a glance with Stark. They both thought of the same group of people.

About half an hour later, a group of symbiotes arrived near Earth. As the Blue Spirit walked over, Shiller questioned, "What about Venom? Didn't I call him? He's not still indulging in chocolate, is he?"

"He's behind, seems to have a small disagreement with his host... Right, he hasn't been eating much chocolate lately, probably on a diet." Blue Spirit shook his head, going down to stop Peter with the other symbionts.

After a while, Venom came late, but Venom's current state was completely different from what Shiller had in mind.

Under normal circumstances, upon reaching space, Venom would fully encase Eddie's body. That's how the other symbionts were, because this state best suits cosmic warfare.

But now, Venom only wrapped Eddie's legs. His upper body was separate from Eddie, and he also had to branch an oxygen tube to supply Eddie with oxygen, to prevent him from suffocating. Now, Eddie looked like a person with two heads. Upon approaching, Shiller heard Eddie yelling:

"You messed everything up! You goddamn parasite! How could you control me to forcibly kiss..."

"Shut up! You chicken! If it weren't for me, you two wouldn't have even thought of taking it further? Dream on, you should thank me. You are blaming me for being a parasite? Look now, if not for me, you would be dead!"

"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't need to come to space!"

"Well, how about I let you go down now?"

"Just get lost! You think I really want to be with you? Do you know how much trouble you've caused for me lately? The cops from the New York Police Department even recognize me. Why don't you listen to me at all, are you crazy???"

From afar, Shiller could hear Eddie's exasperated tone. When Eddie arrived, Shiller asked him, "What happened to you, why are you arguing with Venom again?"

Eddie sighed helplessly and said, "He's gone crazy lately. Not only does he take a stroll in the middle of the night, standing on the tallest building saying things like 'I'm Venom. I'm the revenge'. But also when I sleep, he controls my body to create various mechanical devices, and even got a helicopter from somewhere, hiding it in my basement."

"He made a bunch of devices, installing them everywhere. Every midnight he runs wild in New York City - I haven't been able to rest well at night for several days..."

"Uh..." Shiller uttered a syllable. He always felt that this condition sounded a bit familiar. Shiller rubbed his chin and said, "He did do something that an alien should do, like monitoring Earthlings or something... "

"But he isn't monitoring at all! Those messy devices he made are useless!"

"I just haven't activated them! Shut up! Wimp!" Venom yelled.

Shiller took a look at the two of them and said, "Are you seriously considering splitting up? Don't be so impulsive, cool down a bit..."

"I can't calm down at all, do you know what he did yesterday? He controlled me and forcibly kissed my girlfriend! Oh my god! I'm about to call the police!" Eddie's tone was incredibly agitated. He said, "I thought he could understand me, but now, he's as excited as a crazy beast, I can't communicate with him at all!"

"Excited? Did you just mention that Venom seems a bit excited?" Shiller squinted his eyes and looked at Eddie. Eddie nodded and said, "A bit excited? He's been over-excited lately! Whenever he sees something on the street, he goes and bites it. I don't even know how to explain to the traffic police about the tire covered in bite marks and the bumper that was bitten off..."

Shiller and Stark, who had just arrived, glanced at each other. Stark said in a low voice, "Does this have anything to do with Peter's excitement?"

Shiller pulled Eddie and Venom away from the battlefield, then he opened the magic vision, and immediately, he was blinded by the golden light emanating from Venom.

"What's the matter? How come you also have..." Shiller was extremely puzzled as he circled around Venom. Venom and Eddie were still loudly fighting, and Stark looked around. He found that no one was paying attention to him, so he switched the core of the mecha to magical energy.

Then he also saw the abnormality on Venom's body. The golden light seemed the same as what is on Peter's body. Stark began searching for the common ground between the two in his memory, but after thinking about it over and over, the two seemed to have nothing in common. However, at this moment, Shiller was struck with realization: "Oh, I know, could it be... I almost forgot about it..."

Some of you may still remember that in the Bat Invasion incident, Shiller brought Venom onto Peter, making the two of them stage the advent of the Bat God. Initially, it was just to make some money and incidentally boost the status of S.H.I.E.L.D. with Nick, but as things turned out, they created a Bat God.

Coincidentally, the Morlun Family, Spiderman's arch-enemy at that time, was eyeing Spiderman of this world, who is now Peter Parker. They came to hunt Spiderman, but at that time, Peter was carrying Venom, and deep inside Venom was the darkness of Batman.

Morlun's arrival stimulated Peter; that kind of dark tide erupted. The result was the unfortunate vampire got infected with the darkness of Batman's heart.

The outcome was that the member of Morlun Family got slaughtered by The Ancient One. But before he died, he connected the network used by the Morlun Family for communication, causing the dark power to spread along this network.

Shiller didn't know about this, but he knew that the most important connection between Peter and Venom was the Bat God in the Bat Invasion incident; it was their combined form.

Now, the two of them both have accumulated quite a lot of faith power, could it be that people truly believe in this Bat God?

At this moment, a portal opened in mid-air, and Strange poked his head out and said:

"There are results, meet in the Sanctum."
