Chapter 911 - Chapter 620 Morbid Crisis (9)_2

Following his gaze, a car slowly stopped in the weeds just outside the mental hospital wall. Constantine and Angela stepped out of the car. Constantine jumped onto the hood of the car, shielding his eyes with one hand as he peered into the psychiatric hospital.

"Are you sure this is the place? It feels more like a military base than a mental hospital," he queried.

Angela took out her gun, also looking into the hospital, and said, "Something's off. The last time I was here, it was just a regular hospital, there weren't this many guards. Where did they all come from?"

"No matter where they came from, we have to get past them in order to enter the hospital." Constantine jumped down from the car, checked his coat pocket to make sure he had all his exorcism tools. He waved his hand, "Let's get in. I have to see the scene first to identify the type of demon."

But at this moment, Angela turned around alertly, holding her gun up at an oncoming vehicle. Its lights shimmered off the vines casting eerie shadows. The car stopped seeing them, a figure with a gun in hand exited the driver's seat.

The two parties faced each other. Angela was the first to identify the person. It was a woman, dressed neatly, not looking like a cop. The woman raised her gun, saying, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"We were about to ask you the same thing." Angela held up her gun with one hand and her police badge with the other. "Metropolitan Police Department, we are on a case. Who are you?"

Unexpectedly, the woman also pulled out an ID and flashed it, saying, "Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, Kira. I'm on a case as well."

After confirming each other's identities, both parties put away their guns. Kira approached Angela and shook hands, "Officer Dodgson, I've heard about you. What case are you investigating here?"

"The previous serial killings, a witness has revealed some information about this place, but details are confidential for now."

"Understood." Kira responded briskly. Before Angela could ask, Kira added, "We've lost an agent around here. I'm here to investigate what happened, but details of the case are also confidential."

Angela and Constantine exchanged a glance. Angela asked, "Is the place you're looking for inside the hospital?"

"Yes, the last message we received from the agent was from a ward in this psychiatric hospital," Kira affirmed.

"A Federal Bureau of Investigation agent has gone missing?" Constantine frowned and asked, "Isn't this a huge matter? Why hasn't this place been fully investigated?"

"Confidential mission," Kira replied curtly. Angela nudged Constantine to stop him from asking more questions, then turned to Kira, "In that case, we could cooperate. We need to infiltrate this hospital as well. Which floor are you headed to?"

"The fourth or fifth floor," Kira responded, frowning.

"Perfect, we're heading to the fourth floor too," Angela turned, flicking her hair back, and said, "Let's move."

Near the side door, the agent and Angela scaled the wall with agility. In a while, Angela's head popped over the wall looking towards Constantine on the other side, "What are you doing? Hurry up!"

"I …" Constantine held up his hand, gesturing at the wall, then his head, he took a step back, evaluating the wall again.

Exasperated, Angela shook her head. After a while Kira had also made it up the wall and seeing Constantine still not making a move she turned to Angela and asked, "Is your colleague..."

"Get up here quickly!" Angela gritted her teeth. Constantine let out a sigh, then shot Kira a look, Angela quickly uttered, "Forget it, just wait here and cover our backs."

Then she turned to Kira: "Let's go, we will enter first. No point waiting for him."

Kira glanced at Constantine one more time before jumping off the wall. Angela followed, and they both successfully entered the hospital.

Once he was sure they were out of sight, Constantine teleported in through the wall, and cast a stealth magic on himself. Nonchalantly walking past the guards, he made his way into the hospital.

Meeting Angela successfully on the fourth floor, she said to Constantine, "The agent went to the fourth floor of another building. I'll take you to my sister's ward."

Walking into the ward, Constantine immediately picked up on a faint smell of blood. He wanted to stop Angela, but she walked straight in without hesitating. Turning to Constantine, she said, "I know, you smell blood, right? My sister committed suicide by cutting her wrists, so the residual blood stains in the ward couldn't be completely cleaned."

"My condolences." As Constantine said this, he began to investigate every corner of the room. With Angela overwhelmed by grief, she made herself busy investigating the crime scene.

On her first visit, Angela's grief made it impossible for her to focus. She took a cursory look around and then got into the vehicle carrying her sister's body and left to bury her.

On this visit, she meticulously went over every single corner, which led her to the letter hidden under a wooden board in the wardrobe.

The re-glued envelope had lost its adhesiveness and had fallen to the bottom of the wardrobe. Angela noticed the envelope at the bottom as she checked down there.

She picked up the envelope, then froze on the spot. Then she tore the envelope open like a madwoman, reading its contents, covering her mouth as she began sobbing uncontrollably.

Constantine noticed her unusual behaviour. He came over, and read the contents of the letter, his face turned serious.

"Wait, your sister really killed herself? She wasn't taken by a demon?!" Constantine raised his voice.

Overwhelmed by grief, Angela sat on the floor unable to stop crying. Yet Constantine dragged her up dramatically and yanked her to the middle of the room. Angela looked at him and saw a stern expression on his face. He said,

"As I told you before, I'm also a twin, so I know that demons give twins the same curse, then choose one soul to take, by the time they turn 27."

Then, he looked back at Angela and said, "But there's another situation where if the chosen soul leaves prematurely, that is, dies before they are 27..."

"Then the curse they bear will pass onto their sibling, which means now you, like me, are also a bearer of a double curse."

"Then...what will happen?" Angela choked out her question.

Before Constantine could answer, Angela saw the room walls suddenly distort.

Numerous shadows started swirling up the wall from the base and the furniture, the wardrobe, desk and bed all started shaking. Constantine took out a Bible from his pocket and Angela drew her gun. They stood back to back in the middle of the room when Constantine roared,

"Get ready! They are coming!!!"
