Chapter 875 - Chapter 595 Long Live the Cat! (Part 2)_1

"I know you might be confused." When Alfred Cat began to speak, Batman felt a twinge in his heart. He had never heard his butler's voice sound so old and weary before.

Soon thereafter, Batman felt a flicker of anger rising within him. But he took several deep breaths, repressed his rage, and began to listen attentively to Alfred Cat's account of the past.

"This is a cat city, where all the inhabitants are cats. But what they don't know is that there is another story. The birds of Gotham did not go extinct like in other parts of this world."

"After the cat tribe flourished, other races retreated to remote parts of the world and gradually vanished. But the birds of Gotham persisted, thanks to the special dark power present here."

"They have been dormant beneath Gotham, biding their time to counterattack. Until they found an opportunity, they killed the parents of Bat Cat. Then they killed the Godfather Cat who had been ruling this city and the highly respected Father Cat."

"I knew their next target would be Bat Cat. So I secretly sent him away. In the end, when they invaded the mansion, they captured me. But I knew, one day, Bat Cat would return."

Just after Alfred Cat finished speaking, Batman suddenly realized that the moonlight had dimmed, the rain clouds had covered the moon, thunder was rumbling in the distance, and suddenly, heavy rain began to pour.

At this point, Batman realized that since he came to this city, it had never rained here.

As the rain began to fall, Bat Cat saw the brilliant green color gradually fade from the opposing green cat. The dye was washed away by the rain, revealing his true fur color, black. The same black as Batman."

"In order to disguise myself and accumulate power, I've been operating in the sewers of Gotham and dyed my fur a very vibrant color to cover the black."

"To prevent the dye from fading while on the move, I crafted a weather controller to stop the rain in Gotham." Joker Cat, or the real Bat Cat, stood in the rain, soaking wet. He was very thin, but his eyes were still bright."

Batman was taken aback, then he lowered his head and said, "So that rock party you held back then…"

"It was to cover up the noise of the weather controller." The real Bat Cat replied.

Batman remembered that he indeed had heard a distinct sound amidst the chaotic noises of the rock music. He had paused to listen closely, but his cat's acute hearing and his common sense disagreed. So all he heard was some interference without being able to identify what it actually was.

All of this linked together. In this world, Bat Cat's parents were killed by the owls dwelling here. The owls also killed Godfather Cat and Father Cat, and imprisoned Alfred Cat."

The Bat Cat that was hidden by Alfred Cat was young and weak. He could only hide until this group of owls decided to rule Gotham in a new way. Bat Cat, posing as Joker Cat, finally started to show up."

Even without these outsiders, his final battle with the Court of Owls was imminent. Given the city was being continuously controlled by the Court of Owls, he had nowhere to hide, and the ultimate battle was about to commence.

However, these foreigners provided more opportunities for Bat Cat. Therefore, when Bat Cat, disguised as Joker Cat, first met Batman, he used his joker-like gibberish to hint at the strangeness of the city. He took advantage of the chaos created by these foreigners to draw away the fake and then rescued his butler, Alfred Cat."

It has to be said that Bat Cat's plan disguised as Joker Cat and Shiller's plan coincided. The focus of both their plans was to utilize Batman.

Batman let out a sigh and said, "Well then, since we've taken care of that owl, now…"

Suddenly, Constantine let out a loud growl, his eyes flared with magical light, a magical shield wrapped around all the cats. Just as the shield formed, a raging surge of dark power erupted from the ground."

"This is far from over." The soaked Bat Cat said, "There's more than one owl. They have a group. They control the underground darkness of Gotham. Now that their plan has been exposed, we will face the attack of the Dark Owls."

As soon as he finished speaking, the dark power condensed into a giant owl. Its sharp claws attacked the shield, and in an instant, Constantine's fur stood on end as he let out a sharp cry."

"Get out of here quickly! My shield won't hold for long, I don't have that much power!" Constantine gritted his teeth, "No wonder the demon summoning didn't work before, the array lit up because they were putting on a show!"

"This power is exactly the same as the one that formed Demon Cat! The strange smell I smelled then was bird droppings... Damn it, I can't summon demons, I can't hold against this for long with my power alone!"

Now, Clark, who was floating in mid-air, was directly captured by the dark force, he wanted to break free but the dark force was continuously infiltrating his body, making him powerless."

Superman's physical attack was powerful, but his resistance to magic was not so high. However, he wouldn't be completely controlled by the Dark Owl. Just as he was about to break free, a surge of dark tide erupted, attacking his companions."

But Bat Cat displayed no fear whatsoever. He turned his head towards Batman and said "Find a way to hold it off for a while."

"Where are you going?"

After a few strides, Bat Cat reached the edge of the building, looked back at Batman and said, "Remember what I said? I'm going to give them a surprise rock party."

Just as Constantine was struggling to maintain the magical shield, he suddenly caught the ground's vibration. Batman risked jumping out of the shield to stand on the edge of the building and look down. Then he saw the ground of the Gotham City Center Turntable suddenly crack open, a huge stage rose, followed by giant robot arms as imposing as the ones created by the fake Bat Cat. Countless giant and incredible musical instruments took their places like microphones, bass guitar, drums, keyboards...

Each instrument was as big as a building, countless mechanical light bands gradually lit up, the circular mechanical arm control room danced above the instruments, and spotlights on the edge of the stage pierced the sky, illuminating the entire city.

Bat Cat stood in the center of the lead singer's position. He shouted into the microphone, "Come, join me! This is Bat Cat's first party!"

Constantine's shield could no longer hold up. After it shattered, a few cats scattered and fled.

Constantine was the first to jump towards the other side, he said, "You've been careless! Bat Cat! Failed to notice such a great bassist here! If any rock festival doesn't invite me, their organizers should jump into the sea to feed the sharks!"

With that, he rushed to the control room of the mechanical arm that held the giant bass in three strides. With a "tang" sound, the huge vibrations produced by the electronic instrument made all cats couldn't help but crawl on the ground, pulling their ears back.

The giant dark owl, made up of dark energy, exploded its feathers in an instant. Batman jumped to the side of the drum set, agilely darted into the floating control room above the stool, and said: "So, by 'loud music will be their weakness,' this is what you meant."

The rain was growing heavier. Even without playing, the raindrops hitting those metal instruments created an irritating vibration. Clark came to the control room next to the colossal guitar. He rubbed his paws and said, "Thank you to my multi-talented father, hopefully I still remember the fingering he taught."

"Hurry up! We only need a keyboardist left!" Constantine appeared even more excited than Bat Cat. He said, "Come on, baby, music is my forever love, let's embrace the psychedelic rock together!!"

Finally, a figure shining incredibly bright in the dark rainy night jumped over. He climbed along the frame to the side of the keyboard and scampered into the circular control room. Gordon Cat pressed the button.

With rhythmic percussions, the bass and guitar rang out simultaneously, creating a tightly condensed tremor that ripped the skyline.

This gigantic stage that occupied the entirety of Gotham City Center floated from the ground. As it rose, the stage backdrop happened to prop up Shiller's Tower of Thought, and around the high tower, each instrument played a sonata while the mechanical arms danced in the rain.

Those radiant vehicles, flying saucers, and neon billboards all became the audience of this concert.

Unknown when or who started the initial lyrics:

"We were born for freedom - Long Live Cats!"

"Knock the cans on the ground, break plates and utensils, scratch the sofas and carpets, are you angry?!"

"Hey! How about another? Get your gun! Pull the trigger! Long Live Cats!"

"We were born for freedom! This is what means to be a cat, oh! Long Live!"

Accompanied by intense music, the Dark Owl started to go crazy. Owls hear more keenly than cats, so when such intense music sounded close by, it could hardly control its power.

As the Dark Powers swept across the city, not only did they break the buildings, but they also broke the locks of those steel cages. The cats rushed out from the cages, went to the balconies, onto the streets, and despite the deafening music that made their heads spin, they still danced to the rhythm.

Unknown which cat started singing along, but soon the song echoed amongst the cats.

"Hey, we were born for freedom, this is what it means to be a cat, Long Live Cats!"

"Mess with yarn! Eat the treats! Destroy anything destructible, we were born to have fun! This is what it means to be a cat, Long Live Cats!"

"Oh! Oh! Hey! Are you angry?"

Constantine raised his cat paw high, pointed a claw to the sky, continuously shook his head, all the cats followed the rhythm and shook their heads together, their singing echoed throughout Gotham, the rhythm sped up and the beats grew louder, the floating flying saucers revolved around the stage constantly, traffic was bustling once again.

This chaotic yet disordered scene, in Cat City revealed a bit of cuteness. The combination of the chaos of Gotham and the freedom of cats has added fuel to each other's fire.

In the end, the Dark Owl that could finally no longer stand it screamed, its body enlarged repeatedly until the shadow once again cast over the stage.

Apparently, it no longer intended to preserve its own achievements but wanted to kill this group of annoying cats.

The music entered a lull, and the partying cats all looked up to the sky. The night rain of Gotham fell on them, making every cat soaking wet, but once the unique crazy fire of Gotham was ignited, it could not be extinguished.

All cats arched their bodies and stretched out their claws. But just at the moment when that enormous darkness fell, a voice rang out from behind the tower on the stage:

"So noisy!"

Instantly, the rain clouds dispersed, the sky turned bright again, and the darkness was nowhere to be seen.
