Elsewhere, Hugo, who was being pursued by Batman, thought the same.
As it happened, beneath Batman's subconscious was also a hole, created by Joker when he borrowed the path from the Kingdom of Dreams to play in Batman's consciousness.
Having searched everywhere and finding this to be the only escape route, Hugo did not hesitate to jump down. As he saw his exam question running away, Batman, who did not want to fail, had to give chase.
As a result, Teige and Superman, Hugo and Batman, all followed their consciousness space down to the Kingdom of Dreams.
This chase between two parties became more lively once they encountered each other.
Clark had no idea what Batman was up to, he assumed Batman was there to back up Teige. Batman recognized Teige as the other murderer in the case and wanted to pursue him too.
The four of them were frantically running around the Kingdom of Dreams. Hugo and Teige were fine, but both Batman and Clark came with special effects. When Batman's dark tide and Clark's light collided, there were constant explosions.
When the action reached this point, Dream God Morpheus, watching from the stands, could no longer sit still. As he disappeared in a flash, Shiller took out a bottle of wine. Without his prompting, the others all leaned back in their seats, ready to enter the dream.
Morpheus hurried back home, only to find his house nearly demolished. Anger rose in him, indignation settling in his gall.
Instantly, everyone in the Kingdom of Dreams froze as Morpheus descended into the center of the battlefield, his robes billowing without wind, an aura of authority emanating from him without a trace of anger.
"Halt! You accursed humans! You've destroyed the Kingdom of Dreams, and you must pay…"
Everyone was shackled and could not move. Morpheus, aware of the tremendous power he wielded, did not notice the flicker of anger on Clark's face.
From where he stood, you could tell why Clark was upset. He was just a step away from capturing Teige. Ironically, Morpheus had frozen everyone at this crucial moment. From Clark's perspective, was this not the same as shielding Teige?
When it came to executing justice, Superman took no offense lightly.
Morpheus took a deep breath and sighed. Suddenly, he noticed the shadow of a large ship appearing in the distance.
As the ship slowly approached and stopped at a safe distance, Morpheus shouted, "Shiller! Look at what you've done! ... Why are you standing so far? Are you afraid of me beating you?!"
Standing at the bow of the ship, Shiller shook his head, saying, "I'm not worried about you hitting me, I'm worried..."
While speaking, he pointed a finger gently behind Morpheus. Morpheus snorted dismissively saying, "Don't try to distract me with..."
Instantly, a dazzling light exploded from behind him. A sun rose within the Kingdom of Dreams, its central light growing brighter until it burned a hole through the entire cosmos.
In a silent, stunning blast, all within sight in the Kingdom of Dreams was leveled.
The moment Batman saw the light, he recalled the collapsed twenty-story building of Shiller's. Hence, he promptly retreated at high speed, then Shiller grabbed him by the collar, dragging him back onto the ship.
Dream God Morpheus managed a last-ditch attempt to resist. But due to his short reaction time, and because he was too close to Superman, when the sun exploded, he flew the farthest.
He flew the farthest, indeed, because the souls of the other two humans had no chance to fly. They melted on the spot, like moths to a flame.
By the time Morpheus landed, knocked out, and seeing stars, he heard a resonant, echoing horn. He saw the shadow of a large ship...
He saw two figures jumping off the ship. One was Shiller, the other one looked somewhat familiar to Morpheus, or rather, very familiar.
Constantine walked up to Morpheus, who was lying on the ground, lit a cigarette, took a puff, slowly exhaled and looked down on Morpheus:
"Now, you can finally tell me why you refuse to give me a sweet dream?"
