Chapter 824 - Chapter 562: What Shiller Does Best (Part 1)_1

"Thor! Calm down! Let me explain! Things aren't as you think!!!" Stark's roar echoed in the depths of space, but Thor completely ignored his explanation and kept attacking with his Thunder.

From Thor's attack method, it was clear that he was too furious to think straight. Despite many criticizing Thor's rash, head-first style of fighting as unseemly for a successor and king, there was no denying his formidable strength and keen tactical instinct. This was why he could always charge headlong into danger without losing his life.

But now, this melee tactical master had been so enraged he was resorting to brute force. Normally, there were numerous ways the bright divine king could utilise the powers of lightning and flame he wielded, which also, to some extent, could disrupt Stark's mechanical army due to its electricity-conducting nature.

In fact, the best tactic would have been to use a Divine Power Cage to restrict Stark's speed while simultaneously wearing down his mechanical components. Thor knew that Stark couldn't hold out for long.

The Singular Universe peak was an awkward position for Stark. Above this level, he would unify with everything and no longer be bound by any energy source, becoming a part of the cosmos and thus, no longer needing energy. Below this level, the fuel needed to power the human body and mechanical parts wasn't that demanding.

But at the Singular Universe peak level, he had to forcefully harness magical energy to maintain his immense power. Clearly, Stark did not have enough magical energy and thus Thor's strategy of a war of attrition was the best course of action.

But now, a maddened Thor ignored Stark's mechanical components and only unleashed cascade after cascade of powerful lightning strikes towards Stark's head, as if he would not rest until Stark was annihilated.

"Warning, energy levels depleted! Warning, energy levels depleted! Sir, our current Magic Core energy can only hold for another minute and a half. I recommend sending out a distress signal immediately!"

"No! I will not call for help!" Stark refused outright with gritted teeth: "If they all come over, wouldn't that be the same as being laughed at?! Thor will definitely spread rumors about me and Loki..."

"Warning! Core energy output continuously falling…unnecessary protective measures have been removed, attack frequency falling, still falling…still falling..."

"Remove all attack energy storage!" Stark made a desperate decision: "Put all energy into defense. Otherwise, we won't be able to withstand his Thunder."

Thor's relentless lightning strikes still poured down without cease. Even Thor's divine power was not inexhaustible. After his initial outburst, as his divine power was steadily depleted, he finally regained a little composure.

But this was even worse news for Stark. As Thor regained his senses, his tactics started to become more cunning. He no longer unleashed his Thunder uniformly against the entire shield but focused on one particular area. For Stark, whose energy was already critically low, the alarms were constantly flashing.

Suddenly, Stark heard Jarvis saying: "Unidentified energy source detected, magical energy abundant...absorbing...energy replenished to 60%, shield strength has been fully upgraded."

"Energy? Where's the energy coming from?" Stark asked puzzledly. Jarvis continued: "Conducting environmental scan...detecting an opening portal...3, 2, 1..."

"Tony! Catch it!" A portal opened, and Strange flew out from it and tossed a crystal ball shimmering with magical light at Stark.

Stark caught it instinctively, asking: "What are you doing here?? And when did you start making deliveries on the side?"

"Don't ask so many questions, Shiller sent me. Hurry up and absorb the energy, Thor isn't going to let you off easily."

"Oh!" Stark suddenly said to Strange: "Please help me explain! Things aren't like Thor thinks they are! The child isn't mine and Loki's, actually it is…okay technically it is, but not in the way he thinks it was..."

"What? Loki? Child? You're saying that you and Loki have a child?!!" Strange asked loudly.

Before Stark could explain, another "crack" of lightning came down. Thor, who had just slightly calmed down, was agitated again by these words and continued attacking Stark.

With the energy Stark had just absorbed not yet fully aligned, he could only dodge and avoid Thor's full force. Consequently, he began to retreat, Thor resumed their chase, and once again, they started their high-speed chase in the cosmos.

Stark did feel guilty, especially since he did stand Loki up which was a fact. Even if that child was mostly likely a result of another one of Shiller's outrageous schemes, he had after all already decided to adopt Helen and did not want to fight with Thor.

Hence, he was both fighting and fleeing, not loving one bit of this fight, evading where he could and planning to use Strange's magically reinforced attack to exhaust Thor. Once Thor was tired out, he would naturally listen to what he had to say.

But with him running away, other things in the universe paid the price. Whether it was celestial bodies or Demon Gods, everything that crossed their path, from the lesser victims getting a huge sputter to the unfortunate direct victims being obliterated, felt their wrath...
