Chapter 590 - Chapter 395: What are the Advantages of Pay-to-Win (Part 2)_2

"How is your game progress? I haven't had a chance to check recently. Do you want another brand new gift pack?"

"Not necessary!" Stark refused again, he systematically listed, "I joined a reading club in Ravenclaw and achieved the highest score in every class test. Recently, I've taken an interest in alchemy, but there is no corresponding course in the school."

"You must be most familiar with Peter's situation. He excels in potions class, and he's good at Quidditch too. He was born to fly around. I heard he's the most promising Seeker this year."

"Steve became a Beater, but I think he would be better as a Keeper. He's got a good name in Hufflepuff, you know, the usual, always ready to help…"

"As for Strange, I don't quite get the Slytherin house. It seems like a bunch of rambling lunatics researching some dark conspiracy, but Strange seems to get along quite well with them."

"Steve and I are just looking for a good dream. After all, studying in a castle-like magic school is better than being chased in a dream. But it seems that Peter and Strange both have their abstract thoughts about this world."

"Peter is interested in magic potions, and Strange is interested in magic wands. I bet they will study these two things in real life."

"Do you think they can succeed?" Shiller asked.

"Initially, there will certainly be many challenges." Stark, as a mature scientist, judged: "Whether it is magic potion or wand, in reality, they seem absurd. But I believe that there will be a good outcome in the end because many scientific advancements come from absurd ideas."

Stark played with the food on his plate and said, "Many people believe that the most important thing to becoming a scientist is meticulousness. To the public, scientists and scholars are nerds."

"But the most important thing to reach the peak in this field is creativity. Sometimes, a seemingly absurd daydream could be the key to major progress."

"If you don't dare to think, then you've lost the most precious quality of humanity."

Right then, Stark's cellphone suddenly rang. He heard an excited voice from Peter on the other end. "Mr. Stark! You need to come over, you won't believe what I found!"

After hanging up the phone, Stark pressed a few buttons. Shiller looked at him and asked, "Didn't you give that Magic Energy Core to him to play, did you?"

"I trust Peter's capability and believe he will not misuse it." After saying that, Stark stood up and turned his head, rolling his eyes at Shiller before asking, "Despite knowing you can only screw in a lightbulb, do you want to have a look?"

When the two of them appeared in the lab, they saw Peter holding a flowerpot. But the pot was bare, nothing was planted. All three of them gathered around the pot. Stark asked, "So, what did you want to show me?"

"Oh, I forgot, it didn't sprout yet!" Peter put down the pot and picked up a transparent bag from the side. In it were seeds. He said, "Mr. Stark, I conducted a magic radiation experiment on these seeds using the Magic Energy Core you gave me and found that they indeed changed."

"I don't know why the magic doesn't work on blossoming flowers, but does on seeds..."

"Because of the conceptual difference.", a voice suddenly appeared in the lab. A portal opened in mid-air, and Strange landed. He pointed at Peter and said, "We're on the same track."

"The concept of seeds in magic is very complex. It represents both a new life and germination as well as hope. To understand it on a higher level, it represents the beginning state of all life, which has unique meaning in magic."

Stark waved his hands, making an expression of impatience and said, "Here we go again, the same old mysterious concept."

He looked at Strange and asked, "So the seed has a concept, and flowers do not?"

Strange shook his head and said, "It depends on who uses which concept more in the cosmos. Obviously, concepts like rebirth, hope, and light are more in line with Order Creature, and these concepts have a greater impact on the universe when they are derived from the original universe."

"And for flowers, trees, and the like, there might be an impact, but it's smaller. You wouldn't want to hear the specifics, but basically, it's similar to a rule concept."

Strange turned his head and looked at the small flowerpot that Peter had just put on the table. He walked over, picked it up and asked, "Have you already planted the seeds?"

"Yes."

"What flower is it?"

"Sunflower, because the nearby flower shop had some seeds, so I bought some."

At this moment, Strange suddenly pulled out an odd-looking gemstone. He said, "Now, let's accelerate it a bit and see what it can grow into..."

As he said that, a magical light shone from his hand and reached the flowerpot. Under everyone's astonished gazes, a bud broke through the soil. In an instant, a small sunflower seedling grew out of it.

"So...where's the sunflower?" Stark with his hands on his hips, staring at the pot and asked.

"I can't speed it up too much, otherwise, it could have some unforeseeable dangers. But even without the flower, many problems are evident."

"Ah..." Strange sighed. "Although you probably can't see it, indeed, there is some very faint magic power surrounding it. However, it's all concentrated at the root. The upper part has none..."

"Why is that?" Peter frowned as he looked at the plant. "And, I don't see any changes in its physical appearance despite the seeds glowing quite significantly."

"Magic isn't that simple." Strange shook his head and said, "We currently only have a preliminary idea. As for how to implement it, we've got a long way to go."

Then, another voice sounded. "Have you considered the problem within the plant itself? Herbaceous and woody plants are different, as are angiosperms and gymnosperms…"

Connors walked into the lab and closed the door behind him. Strange glanced at Connors, then looked at the little pot in his hand, saying:

"The expert is here."
