Chapter 581 - Chapter 391: The Great Avengers Adventure! (Part 1)_1

"After I opened that door, I found myself transformed. I became very small, while everything else seemed so big. My hands turned into C shapes and my head became cylindrical, just like those common Lego blocks…"

Steve took a deep breath, his memory gradually returning to the moment he pushed the door open.

Upon walking in, Steve felt a brief fuzziness, followed by a shift in his visual perspective. He looked down and saw his body had turned cubic in shape.

That's when he remembered the shape of the door handle he had turned. He shrugged, saying, "Well, Lego man, I've played this before."

As the blurry light in front of him gradually faded, he found himself in a brightly lit store. He walked around with interest, observing the shelves made out of tiny Lego blocks, and the merchandise placed on them.

This was an amazingly new experience. He had never viewed the world as a Lego figure, but the fun times didn't last long. Suddenly, Steve heard a shrill scream.

He instinctively rolled on the spot, hiding behind a large shelf, followed by the sound of a gunshot and a voice with an exaggerated tone, "Hand over your money right now, you don't want to get shot!"

Steve peeked out and saw a robber pointing a gun at the convenience store owner. He was about to run out to intervene when he looked at his own C-shaped hand, which had no fingers. He glanced around and then noticed a mop in the corner of the store.

In front of the convenience store counter, the robber pointed his gun at the owner and said, "I'm from Texas State, don't mess with me. I have an 800-more-acre farm there with two rams that can breed with 74 ewes!"

"Do you know, if I pull this trigger, according to the law of Texas, I'll have to fill out a Farm Owner Defensive Action form. Do you know how many regulations are on that form? A whopping 172! But I don't intend to comply with any of them, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!"

"Okay, I'm going to shoot now. What? You've already taken out the money? No! It's no use! Do you know where we are?!"

"Bang!" A mop handle struck the robber against the wall. The mop slowly lowered, revealing Steve's face.

Just then, there was a "crash" from the overhead glass window, and a Lego figure wearing black descended into the room. He said, "Stop! You evil robber! I am Batman, and I will make all criminals pay for their wrong actions!"

"Wait a moment, why is he lying on the ground? Is this some sort of new robbery approach?" The Lego figure, who identified himself as Batman, looked down at the robber on the ground. Steve swung the mop handle and sighed:

"Thanks to him and you, for loving to say such long lines before taking a move. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had the chance to knock him down."

"Oh, who are you? Wait a minute... Wait a minute... I smell a familiar scent; that annoyingly righteous smell. Do you last name happen to be Kent?"

"… No, my surname is Rogers. Who are you? You call yourself Batman? That's a really strange name."

"Yes, I am Batman." The black Lego figure stepped forward, narrowing his eyes into a suspicious expression, then asked, "Judging from the speed and strength of how you swung the mop handle earlier, you're not an ordinary person. Who are you and what is your purpose here?"

"Uh, I am indeed not an ordinary person, but I came here looking for something. Have you seen a key?"

"A key? What kind of key are you referring to? A tangible key, a conceptual key, or a philosophical key?"

Steve found the current situation somewhat ridiculous. He was trying to explain to a Lego figure why he came here. But the atmosphere forced him to treat this Lego figure seriously because the whole world was made of Lego, including his own form.

As Steve and Batman walked outside, Steve explained, "This is a madman's Thought Palace. Now, we're trapped here and have to find a key to get out. I just randomly opened a door and ended up here..."

"Thought Palace, key, and door?" Batman quickly grasped the crux. "I don't know what these concepts you're talking about are, but I will investigate. As you can see, this is Gotham…"

Just then, a sudden beam of light made it impossible for Steve to open his eyes. He shielded his eyes with his arm, and by the time he lowered it again, he saw a bat-shaped light pattern appeared in the dark sky.

He heard the Lego figure next to him saying, "Oh, damn, it looks like Joker Gang is causing trouble in the city again! I have to stop them!"

"Joker Gang? Who are they?" Steve asked, somewhat confused.

"They're a bunch of lunatics. They specialize in making bombings and kidnappings, all with the purpose of driving me out."

"Can I go with you? I can help you deal with them."
