Chapter 478 - Chapter 325 S: Splendid Event (Part 5) _1

Spider Man stood in the lab at S.H.I.E.L.D., holding a glass jar in his hand, inside which was a pool of red slime.

After removing the lid from the jar, he stretched his hand inside. As soon as his fingertip touched the pool of red liquid, a small indentation appeared on the surface of the liquid. Spider Man continued to lower his finger, and all the red liquid avoided his finger. Then, a strand of slime cautiously touched Spider Man's finger.

Spider Man heard a young male voice ringing in his ear: "Huh???? Wait! Venom once parasitized you, oh my God, quickly take your hand back!"

"What's wrong with everyone? What exactly is wrong with Venom??"

"He's a lunatic! So is his host, for sure! Their minds must be filled with all sorts of ridiculous things..."

"...Oops? You seem to be, oh... My God! You are the most suitable host for a symbiont. I can feel your kindness and determination... Alright, I can give it a try."

"That's more like it." Peter watched as the red slime gradually covered his arm and then spread all over his body. He shook his head, warmed up, and then said, "Don't forget the spider logo on my chest. It's my patent!"

"Is this okay? Or should it be bigger, how about dark blue? To keep the original feature of your uniform."

"Awesome, my God, you really get me!"

The remaining Cosmic Agent Symbiotes in the jar were having a conversation using the gene catalog.

"I told you Red Bee can fit in with these kids, and now he's even switched to a new uniform for him."

"Pretty normal." Blue Spirit replied in a neutral voice: "Red Bee is the youngest among us, and all his previous hosts were quite young. I suggested before that he should look for an older host to learn how to carry out tasks calmly. But now, he's surely going to talk more and more."

"Alright, so what's your ability?" Spider Man asked Red Bee in his mind. Red Bee remained silent for a while, then suddenly yelled out, scaring Spider Man. He asked, "What's wrong, what's not right?"

"No... I mean... My God, how are you so strong? What is your maximum physical strength? What is this?... Wow!"

While Spider Man and Red Bee were getting along, Blue Spirit's voice rang out, "I'd like to choose that black-haired girl. That one-eyed human just told me that she can control shadows, and I think we'll get along well."

As he spoke, the jar with the blue slime moved around and knocked the jar onto the floor, rolling it over to Shadow's feet. Shadow bent over to pick it up and looked at the slime inside the jar curiously.

She looked up again at Spider Man. It was apparent that she had just witnessed the process of Red Bee parasitizing Spider Man. It didn't look disgusting but rather kind of fun.

Shadow also opened the jar and reached her hand inside. At first, Blue Spirit also avoided her finger, then reached out a very thin tendril to touch her fingertip. Blue Spirit's extremely calm voice rang in Shadow's mind: "Hello, I am the Symbiote Blue Spirit. Can you hear my voice?"

"I can... this is so amazing! It feels like there's another 'me' talking to me!"

"Good, do you feel any discomfort when you hear such a voice? Like dizziness, blurred consciousness, or slow thinking?"

Shadow shook her head, she said to the air, "No, nothing. I don't feel anything else."

"Very good, now try not to make noise. Talk to me in your mind..."

"Like this?"

"Yes, exactly, you're learning very fast. It seems your comprehension is good. Now open up the permission of your superficial consciousness to me, I'll read your basic body data, and analyze in what way to form symbiosis with you."

"Okay, but how do I do that?"

"Follow my instructions, just do as I say. First step, empty your mind, imagine a pure white consciousness space in your mind... Yes, just like that. Right now you may hear some noise, but it's alright. That's my thinking connecting with you, try to stay focused..."

"Very good, the connection of consciousness thinking has been completed. Now relax your muscles... Yes, don't let your body too tense. Do you want a battlesuit?"

"Of course! I've been wanting one for a long time!" Shadow's excited voice sounded: "All those high-level mutants have cool battlesuits!"

"All right, imagine in your mind what you think the perfect battlesuit looks like, and leave the rest to me."

Standing on one side, Colossus and Cyclops watched as a dark blue bodysuit gradually covered Shadow's body. There were two streamlined black patterns on the sides of the waist. Overall, it looked a bit like a scuba suit, but it was made of shiny leather.

"Oh, wait!" Colossus interrupted: "You're not of age yet, you can't dress like this! Hey! That Symbiote, Little Shadow is still a child!"

"I'm not a child! I'm about to get my driver's license. Don't listen to him, I want to wear it like this!" Shadow shouted.

"Okay, calm down, kid. This is indeed a good battle suit, but it needs to have some defensive features, right?"

As he spoke, Shiller's deep blue battlesuit was covered by a bright armor that extended over his shoulders, chest, thighs, and feet, made of a metallic material. It made the battlesuit look less fitted but more striking.

Colossus sighed with relief, saying to Cyclops, "These symbionts are quite understanding. If Professor saw Little Shadow in such a fitted suit, he would definitely shake his head and sigh..."

"Yeah, then he would go on about how standards are declining, blaming us for not guiding them properly." Cyclops looked at Shadow and said, "Do you remember Professor Charles' expression when Shadow Cat was designing her uniform? I reckon I will be the same when my daughter gets married..."

"Don't remind me, Wolverine nearly went crazy back then. When I stood next to Shadow Cat, Wolverine glared at me as if he wanted to eat me alive!"

Watching Shadow's transformation, Crystal's gaze was filled with curiosity. However, she hesitated and did not step toward the jars. At this moment, a jar filled with green slime rolled down to her feet. Crystal picked it up just like the others before her.

The moment Crystal's fingers touched the green slime, a little girl's voice echoed, "Hello, I am Green Sting. I detected a change in your brainwaves the instant I made contact with you, so I adjusted my voice. How do you find this voice? Does it make you nervous?"

"No, it's quite nice. It reminds me a little of my sister."

"Good. I sense that you are a little shy, but that's okay. My abilities and yours are very compatible. We will make a great team."

Soon, Crystal's transformation was complete. But instead of creating a battlesuit for herself, she had the green color morph into a dark green and white dress, complete with a light green bow tied around her neck. The sight instantly softened the expressions of both Colossus and Cyclops. Crystal was genuinely adorable.

"I swear, if everyone was as trouble-free as Crystal, Jean wouldn't lose her temper."

"Quit it, weren't you and me the same? Professor Charles always used to say teaching us for a year took ten years off his life."

When it was Amplifier and Thunder's turn, Thunder spoke resolutely, "Relax, I'm here!"

His transformation was the most dramatic. The moment he integrated with the Amplifier, a succession of golden thunderbolts flickered across the entire room. When the symbiosis was complete, Amplifier was entirely enveloped in the glow of the thunderbolts, floating in mid-air, dressed in a golden battlesuit and wearing a mask made of lightning.

Looking at his hands with trailing electric sparks, Thunder commented with admiration, "Your powers are a perfect match with mine. You can amplify my thunderbolts, expanding their coverage area and intensity. I love this feeling!"

"Honestly, I think I've misunderstood the human race. I used to think you were one of the weaker host species. Some humans are even so frail that they cannot host a symbiont. But I never expected humans to possess such incredible abilities."

"Uh, actually, we are mutants, slightly more extraordinary than normal humans. Not everyone is as powerful as us..."

"Mutants are also humans, right? Part of a subspecies of humans? I should etch this name onto my genetic catalog."

"Let me see, where... ah, here it is! Under the pan-human civilization standard... homo sapiens... human subspecies... mutants. Okay, it's added!"

"To be honest, I'm not sure if I am considered a human myself," Amplifier scratched his head, "Normal humans tend to keep their distance from us, we even had to attend special schools."

"Of course you are human, the majority of your genes are human. Only a very minor part is different, it hasn't reached a point where racial segregation is necessary."

"Moreover, even if there is a difference, your culture is inseparable from human civilization. You look like them, speak their language, learn the same knowledge. You are undoubtedly part of the Pan-human civilization."

The same words echoed in the hearts of the few children. Blue Spirit told Shadow, "In our home 2.54 million light-years away from Earth, in the Andromeda Galaxy, there is a civilization called the 'Andromeda Union.' This magical civilization is home to many races, and they look completely different. Some resemble your species with two legs, while others have six legs..."

"Six legs? That's hard to believe. How do they coexist? Don't they fight?"

"Many years ago, they established a union council. As of today, their language, writing, units of measurement, and technological system are all unified. Therefore, they are recognized as an independent civilization in the interstellar society."

"They look completely different yet are still considered the same civilization?" Shadow shook her head, "That's amazing."

"Certainly, because the interstellar civilization identifies a civilization mainly by language, technological system, and historical background. The race is secondary."

Shadow nodded and said, "An earlier professor at our school told us that mutants and ordinary humans are different. But what you said makes sense too. My parents are ordinary humans. If I want to see them, do I have to apply for a visa or something?"

"Of course not. Even in the 'Andromeda Union' civilization, it's not necessary. Many High Elves and Totem Spirits have hybrid offspring who can freely travel between the two galaxies without any restrictions."

"Alright!" Spider Man raised his hand and said, "You all should have gotten used to it by now, right? Now we're going on a mission, follow me."

Outside the laboratory window, Nick, with his arms crossed, turned his head towards Shiller and asked, "Are you sure these symbiotes can accurately convey your instructions to them?"

"There's no problem. They are much smarter than you think. Even among symbionts, these are the cream of the crop."

"Honestly, it's a good idea to influence the younger generation's perception, but I'm worried about Professor X... oh right, you two have reached an agreement. He might be watching from above right now."
