Chapter 49 - Chapter 37 Batman's Dropout Notice_2

But the problem is, which headmaster of a private university would dare expel their own chairman of the board?

The headmaster wouldn't dare, but Shiller would. He'd love for Bruce to get the hell out of this place. Otherwise, Gotham University could be in big trouble if the Joker shows up.

Sheldon wiped the sweat off his forehead, saying, "First, let's withdraw this expulsion notice..."

"I never take back the letters I've sent, but as the headmaster, you could make a call and have him personally deliver the letter to my office."

Shiller mimicked Sheldon and knocked on the table.

"Mr. Headmaster, I am a teacher. Do you expect me to curry favor with a student who has done wrong? How to please the board of directors is the headmaster's job, not mine. My job is to educate students, I don't care if he's Wayne or anybody else, no one is allowed to run wild in my class."

"By the way, tell him for me, if I ever detect a hint of alcohol in my classroom again, I will kick him out immediately. Don't say I didn't warn him."

Crazy! Crazy! Sheldon thought.

What kind of lunatic is Shiller? Why does he always have to cross swords with Bruce? That's the world's richest man!

"Your stubbornness is shocking," Sheldon said grimly after a while. "I hope you can keep up this tough-guy act."

Shiller chuckled, "I certainly will. In fact, I've dealt with many dangerous psychopaths and lunatics in countless major cases. Compared to them, Bruce is just like a newborn foal. I hope he learns to stand before he learns to run."

The headmaster gazed at Shiller, his face pale with an unhealthy pallor. Those grey eyes of his were hidden behind spectacles, seemingly veiled in an unfading grey mist.

Once Shiller had left, the headmaster hit the switch on the recording pen hidden under his desk. He thought, a brat like this won't be able to stomach being insulted by a teacher like Shiller. The things Shiller said today had better be engraved on his tombstone.

If an expulsion notice isn't enough to fan the flames of Bruce's anger, then he'd just turn up the heat. Who knows what Bruce would think after he's heard this recording?

Sheldon thought, such a brash and young billionaire, no matter how capable Shiller is, he will never be able to stand against the power of capital. The Wayne Family has a thousand ways to make a professor disappear from the face of the earth. Even if Bruce isn't that ruthless, he wouldn't let a person who continually insults him off the hook.

When Bruce received the recording, his reaction was very strange. He wasn't angry. No, he wasn't angry at all.

In fact, even if it wasn't Shiller, Bruce wouldn't be that mad because he isn't as impulsive and reckless as he portrays himself to be.

But after listening to the recording, he felt relieved. He was glad Shiller hadn't thrown him more headaches or insolvable problems, and hadn't used that dreadful tone he often used to demand homework.

Bruce knew this reaction was wrong. How could his expectations be so low? Shouldn't he be a little happier when Shiller praises him?

No, no, does any of this matter?

Bruce threw the recording pen onto the table, ruffling his hair in the process. He had to admit, after listening, he couldn't help but imagine that perhaps because Batman had been doing a good job in Gotham recently, that was why the professor's attitude had changed.

Of course, he is Batman after all, so it didn't take long for him to start considering the real issue.

This new headmaster's targeting of Shiller isn't baseless. He seems to have some additional sources of information, allowing him to know that Shiller participated in the trial of the former headmaster.

Bruce narrowed his eyes, thinking about how the headmaster wanted to establish order in Gotham University, or rather, turn Gotham University into his own personal dictatorship. And Shiller, being a dangerous individual, was naturally the first target.

The next day, Shiller went to class as usual, He didn't even glance at Bruce before picking up the textbook and starting the class.

Sheldon, the man in control of the classroom surveillance, frowned. Why hadn't Bruce gone to cause trouble for Shiller?

Bruce, disguised as a playboy, has created plenty of trouble. He's fought with countless classmates. Although it's wrong to fight teachers, there is no one in the world he can't fight, and no one he can't afford to compensate.

Then he saw an even more incredulous scene. When it came time to collect homework, Bruce actually turned in a bundle of papers that seemed thick enough to be the required 3,000 words.

When had Bruce ever handed in homework? Which professor at Gotham University ever dared to accept his homework? Which course at Gotham University didn't give him full marks?

Thinking of this, the headmaster opened the credit system of Gotham University, He found that in the psychology class led by Shiller, Bruce's homework score was less than two points, his grade was even worse, and the teacher's comments were:

"As a wealthy man, he's certainly doing a good job of enjoying life, but as a student, he's absolutely terrible."

The headmaster's hand trembled. This wasn't some internal website, but a site that all students had to check at the end of the semester. They could clearly see the comments each professor gave them, and they could leave comments for all professors.

The headmaster thought about this as he scrolled down, only to see Bruce's comment for Shiller:

"I promise to complete all my assignments next semester. If I do so, can you raise my homework grade to two points? Or even 1.8 is fine. If I can score above 90 in my final exam, I sincerely hope you don't deduct all my points. Even if you had to deduct some, just one point is fine."

Isn't this just a copy of "Teacher, I'm a weak student, please go easy on me"?

The headmaster, with a stern face, switched off the computer abruptly, feeling very frustrated. Many people are trying to establish connections with Wayne Enterprises for the benefits it would bring. The headmaster was naturally one of them.

But it seems he had no chance. Bruce didn't care that he was the headmaster of Gotham University. To Bruce, the headmaster is just a replaceable position.

However, it seems that Professor Shiller really had this billionaire under control. Sheldon thought, he had to get rid of Shiller no matter what. To further progress, he had to be irreplaceable in Bruce's eyes and Shiller was his biggest obstacle.

On the other hand, Bruce began to be displeased with this new headmaster.

Because when he went to return this expulsion notice to Shiller, Shiller almost ended up writing "just get lost" on his face.

Before the new headmaster came along, everything was going smoothly, whether it was his communication with Shiller or his collaboration with Gordon. This was very beneficial to Batman's cause.

But then the new headmaster suddenly implemented this alcohol ban, causing Shiller to find an excuse to expel him again. Of course, Bruce was not pleased.
