Chapter 46 - Chapter 36 Suggestions before Leaving _1

"Shiller walked over, picked up the old-fashioned record player, then patted it saying: "Hmm... it might be broken. These antiques are always a bit unreliable."

Night Devil couldn't see, but he was genuinely frightened by the music just now. He said: "I never knew that such an old-fashioned object could cause such a commotion…"

Peter said: "It seems it's like Steve, it refuses to show its age."

Shiller sternly warned his symbiont in his mind: "If you play the music so loud again, you'll never have a chance to drink alcohol again!"

As a result, the symbiont chirped excitedly in his mind. It took Shiller a while to understand.

The symbiont told him that until last night they were still immature, a young symbiont.

Normally, symbionts don't differentiate between adult and young stages. However, this special symbiont created by the God of Symbiotic Body is quite different. It needed energy to nourish and grow.

Just last night, it discovered that it had unlocked its own gene bank, the code etched in its genes. This code allows it to possess the abilities of other symbionts, such as dividing and reproducing, infiltrating into other objects to control them, and even imitating and creating from nothing.

Shiller noticed that when the symbiont talked, it now had logic and no longer repeated itself as before.

The symbiont informed him that this was because hidden within its genetic code was the symbiont's language—of course, the harsh language of the God of Symbiotic Body—which it didn't understand before.

Hearing this, Shiller tried to say: "Nataru?"

Nearly instantly, Shiller felt a wave of various emotions—shock, anger, sense of injustice—all mixed together flooding in his mind. The symbiont seemed completely shocked.

Afterward, through the symbiont's explanation, Shiller came to know that their language was different from humans, different from any other language in the world.

The symbiont's language was a catalog index language. Each syllable they uttered was actually a large segment of content in the catalog, with the real content etched in their gene bank. Only the symbiont race can understand this.

The content etched in the gene bank wasn't readable text for humans but a special coded language which required a unique organ to decipher. Any race other than the symbiont could hear them talk, but they could not understand anything they said. This is because the content of the symbiont's speech is actually a catalog in their genetic code.

For example, the word "Nataru," though only composed of three syllables, represents nearly a few dozen minutes of brain waves when substituted into the sequence of the symbiont gene bank.

The content this syllable represents is the sum of all swear words in the symbiont language, far dirtier than any swear word of any language on Earth.

The symbiont said: "This word! Will get a beating!"

Shiller thought for a while and concluded that his useless knowledge had increased again.

Venom was either on Deadpool or in the S.H.I.E.L.D.'s petri dish. Other symbionts hadn't appeared yet, and even if they did, why should Shiller engage in a verbal fight with them? He wasn't the God of Symbiotic Body.

Steve had missed lunch when he came over at noon. He saw the downcast Peter and asked him: "You still haven't finished your homework. Wasn't pulling an all-nighter enough?"

"A damn all-nighter," Shiller said, pointing his finger and adding "You better ask those two controllers how they were treated last night. The sound of them honing their skills could be heard from two blocks away…"

"Don't say that, it sounds too much like an old timer," Pikachu said.

Steve waved his hand: "Alright, no more interruptions. I might have to go on a mission soon. It's not a big deal, but I want to take Peter with me for some training."

"You need to ask Stark about that, after all, Peter signed a contract with him first," Shiller responded.

"Does that rich guy plan to keep Peter in those suffocating laboratories? What does he want to make Peter into, a sissy like him?" Steve retorted.

Shiller noted: "I'm also leaving for some time soon. Before I leave, I want to see Stark again, but I'm not certain he will agree to hand Peter over to you. After all, you know the impression you two have of each other…"

"Where are you going?" Steve asked.

Shiller gave a dismissive shake of his head and stayed silent. After a moment, Matt spoke "I think Peter should go with the captain. This isn't me playing favorites. It's just because Peter has never left his hometown since he was little. Boys shouldn't be like this."

"The place I'm going to is out west. Come to think of it, it's been a long time since my last visit. The scenery there is quite nice."

Peter already seemed a little moved. Matt was right. Because of his poor economic conditions, Peter never had a chance to travel. The farthest he had been was the outskirts of New York. But bringing up the West, which American boy doesn't have a cowboy dream?
