Chapter 434 - Chapter 288 Sinestro's Misfortune_3

Sinestro, who couldn't summon the yellow lantern energy, was stunned. He pulled back his hand, staring at the ring on his finger, on which the Yellow Lantern Corps emblem kept blinking, but he couldn't connect to the Lantern Furnace.

Though Sinestro is an alien, not all aliens are Kryptonians who can take off from the spot. All of Sinestro's superpowers come from the Yellow Lantern Ring; without the Yellow Torch Energy, he can't escape Earth's gravity.

Just then, Aisha trotted up in between the stand-off between Sinestro and Batman with her short legs, and pointed a finger at Sinestro while turning her head to look at Batman, shouting, "Dad! Wow! Wow!!"

Batman flexed his wrist, while Sinestro stepped back, saying, "Wait! You cannot... I am..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a massive fist, radiating a yellow glow like a sandbag popped into his line of sight, followed by Aisha's excited clapping and screaming.

Ten minutes later, Shiller with a yellow-haired mouse landed on the lawn of Wayne Manor. He looked at Sinestro, who was bruised and battered like a lump of mud, lying on the lawn, and said to him, "Sinestro, huh? I have long heard of your fame, now, we can have a talk..."

Few minutes later, in the basement of Wayne Manor, Batman is tying Sinestro to a chair. Shiller plucked Pikachu's tail out of Aisha's mouth, and while encouraging her to spit out the mouse hair, said, "During the dreamscape, the reason I let the Parallax that drilled into the Laughing Egg's shell come in was to use it as bait."

Upon hearing this, Batman looked at Sinestro and asked, "You conned him into coming here?"

"Correct, Parallax is the Lantern Beast of the Yellow Lantern Corps. If it vanished, this Corps leader would surely come looking on his own."

Finally separating Aisha and Pikachu, Shiller walked over and sat across from Sinestro. He turned to Batman and said, "Aren't you curious about these so-called lamp heroes and lantern corps?"

Batman didn't respond, but his silence was taken for consent. What Shiller didn't tell him was another reason he'd brought Sinestro here.

Previously, Shiller's misjudgment of the Laughing Egg incident was because he hadn't expected the Yellow Lantern Corps to appear so early, and what made him think the Yellow Lantern Corps hadn't appeared yet had to start from the origin story of Sinestro, the leader of the Yellow Lantern Corps.

In the comics, Sinestro was originally the most potent Green Lantern in the Green Lantern Corps, hailed as the strongest lamp hero ever. But after he was discovered by Hal, using the green lantern's energy to control his homeland, they fell out. Sinestro betrayed the Green Lantern Corps, and the Weapon Master created for him the Yellow Lamp Furnace and the Yellow Lantern Ring, making him the leader of the Yellow Lantern Corps ever since.

An important point in this story is the fallout between Sinestro and Hal, after which Sinestro went his own way.

But Hal has only been the Green Lantern Knight for a short while, a newbie with no fame in the Green Lantern Corps, and he doesn't even know Sinestro at all. They have no connection, yet the Yellow Lantern Corps has appeared prematurely.

After this failed prediction, Shiller has been pondering why it happened.

If it's the butterfly effect, it doesn't make sense. At present, Shiller's influence is limited to Gotham, or the East Coast at the largest extent. Exaggerating a bit more, it's still limited to Earth, with absolutely no intersection with Outer Space, the cosmos, or the Green Lantern Corps.

Even if a butterfly like Shiller fluttered its wings, the storm wouldn't be able to reach the Green Lantern Corps so soon, meaning there's more to Sinestro's early defection.

Faced with this uncertainty, Shiller's first reaction was to nip it in the bud. But before that, he had to figure out why Sinestro became the leader of the Yellow Lantern Corps ahead of time.

So, when he saw Parallax lurking outside his Tower of Thought, he had an idea - as long as he can get hold of Parallax, Sinestro would surely come, and just right, Parallax was thinking of leaving the poor Sinestro to get closer to Batman.

It was a match made in heaven; thus, Parallax found a new 'daddy', Shiller caught the fish he wanted, and Batman got an extra 'daughter'. It was a win-win-win situation.

The only loser was Sinestro, who was struggling in the chair. When he shifted his gaze from Batman to the person in front, he saw Shiller, sitting behind the table, and Aisha, standing on it, both revealing a chilling smile.
