Parker revealed an expression tinged with regret and said, "You might think I'd have a sudden epiphany and then beat them up, but in fact, I couldn't. I just felt very painful, yet there was nothing I could do."
"But you didn't sacrifice others."
"Yes, I knew I couldn't do that," Parker shook his head and said, "I'm not sure about others, but if I were to harm others because of my own suffering, I'd live the second half of my life in constant discomfort, worse than enduring it now."
"However, it also obviously affected my academic performance," Parker sighed and said, "I could have gone to a pretty good high school, but I ended up attending a community technical school."
"But that's how life is, always getting lucky in the most unexpected places," Parker smiled again and said, "Because I've experienced such bullying, I'm very sensitive to whether a group truly accepts me."
Natasha suddenly understood and said, "So, you felt that quality of a bully in this group of scientists."
Parker nodded and said, "In their team, I was always in a weaker position, needing to pay an emotional price to please them because obviously, even though I was the Chief Engineer of the Electrical Department, I was still just a technician."
"But for scientists who can come to this research station, graduating from prestigious universities goes without saying. Most people who get such an education are either elites or children from wealthy families, not from the same world as me."
"The outside world also had a similar opinion about me joining this group, roughly saying, you see, that electrician actually managed to mingle with so many PhDs and professors, he's really lucky."
Natasha shrugged and said, "After the Soviet Union collapsed, the status of you technicians has greatly declined. I still remember in the last century you propaganda claimed a blue-collar worker could support a whole family and even took pride in that."
Parker revealed a smile and said, "There's nothing I can do, times are always progressing, and even in that era, no one said a worker was necessarily above a scientist."
"In any case, I actually play the role of a buffoon in this group. They love to hear me complain about the little things in life and then show that sympathetic expression. They don't really sympathize with me; they're just glad they don't have to go through such trivialities of life."
After thinking for a moment, Parker said, "At first, I thought they were just making fun of me like those bullies, but after the disaster at the space station, their behavior felt off, as if all the previous set-ups were for this moment."
Natasha knew the crux of the matter was coming and said, "I also felt it was a bit too coincidental earlier, the way people in that room interjected, it seemed like they were leading others to think in a certain direction."
Parker thoughtfully began to speak slowly, "We may have been wrong in our thinking before, the behind-the-scenes manipulator of this disaster might not be one person, but a group."
"But we still haven't figured out their purpose," Natasha said, "They already have such capability, they could just let the space station fall directly, but they insist on burning the energy devices and destroying half of the space station, which doesn't make sense."
"That proves their aim is the opposite," Parker said, his pace was always slow, but his logic was clear, showing he did not possess a particularly high intelligence, but was always lucid.
"What?" Natasha was slow to catch on.
"Who would destroy the space station?" Parker asked.
"Eh, the behind-the-scenes manipulator."
"They would be sentenced, right?"
"Of course, probably to serve a few hundred years in prison."
"So, they would be criminals, but what about those who saved the space station?"
"Heroes... wait, you don't mean?" Natasha's eyes widened as she said, "Are you suggesting someone staged this disaster just to be a hero???"
"We old folks find it hard to imagine, right?" Parker laughed and sighed, "But if you spend more time with young people, well, Peter isn't young anymore, to be precise, with those younger Spider Men, you'd understand how attractive the hero complex is among them, even many Spider Men were lured into becoming superheroes by the hero complex."
"But isn't that too outrageous??"
"That's the nature of humanity," Parker stood up and looked around the room before saying, "As long as it benefits them, they don't hesitate to turn any situation into their personal stage, causing as much chaos as they want without care, as long as it's loud enough to draw more attention."
"Fuck extreme libertarianism!" Natasha couldn't help but curse, but in the end, she still said, "But there are still many things that don't make sense, like Aux, do you think Aux is one of them?"
Parker shook his head, equally puzzled, and said, "In my view, Aux isn't that sort of person, but I'm not completely certain, after all, appearances can be deceiving, we still have to see what he has done."
By this time, Natasha had finished sewing up the wound, and strangely, this fat guy had been full of vigor from start to finish, not at all like someone who had lost too much blood. With each stitch Natasha made, he would let out a vigorous howl, his subcutaneous fat seemingly ready to burst out, angering Natasha enough to knock him out with a punch.
By the time the wound was sewn up, Natasha figured out how to wake him up. Observing the state of his pupils, she then said, "This guy might have been drugged, it could be pain medication or even outright drugs, anyway, his excitement is a bit abnormal."
