Chapter 3194 - Chapter 2240: Gotham Music Festival (42)_1

Natasha didn't say another word. Something in her eyes sent a chill down Black Canary's spine. She had occasionally seen that look in Oliver's eyes, but nothing had ever come of it.

Natasha looked down at the body.

"He was one of theirs," Black Canary explained.

"Who?"

"The Penitent Cartel." Contrary to Natasha's expectations, Black Canary didn't say the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Black Canary fiddled with the handgun she was holding and said, "I thought they were with the FBI too, but the FBI doesn't use this type of handgun. They have more professional equipment."

Natasha glanced at it and noticed that it was obviously not a regulation pistol and that it was quite old, appearing to be assembled from parts of guns with varying degrees of wear. It was the kind of model still used by mercenaries and assassins, especially common in Latin America.

"Makeshift, but functional." Natasha said nothing, just picked up the other end of the body and said, "Let's toss him overboard first."

"Into the sea?"

Natasha rolled her eyes and said, "Onto the deck, so that the people below stay put in their cabins and don't wander around. It's better for all of us."

The two of them carried the body along the crew's passage to the second floor and came to the lookout platform on the second floor, where they threw the body over the railing.

Bang!

After the body hit the ground, Natasha dusted off her hands and was just about to speak when there was a click and the whole ship lost power.

In the darkness, Black Canary was obviously a bit panicked, but Natasha sighed and said, "It seems they're dead set on leaving us in the ocean for good, or at least one of us who is an important figure."

"Who tripped the breaker?" Black Canary asked.

"Who else but them?" Natasha turned to look and said, "I heard more than one scream earlier. The Federal Bureau of Investigation cutting the power, drug traffickers indiscriminately killing people to create chaos, and then dealing with their targets in the confusion, this must be the backup plan after the first plan failed."

"So, what are you planning to do?"

"I need to confirm the safety of an important figure first," Natasha said, looking at Black Canary. "You're supposed to protect Oliver. Do that well. If nothing unexpected happens, there should be a turn of events soon."

After speaking, Natasha left. She didn't take the narrow crew's passage because the cramped and dim space was not conducive to combat after a power outage, so she went directly up the main staircase to the third floor.

It was very quiet on the third floor because the stairwell entrances on both sides were blocked by overturned clutter. Ordinary people couldn't get up there, and those with ulterior motives thought the third floor was empty and were busy searching for targets on the second floor. Almost all the rooms here were vacant.

Following the light, Natasha came to the room where Shiller was resting and saw Beihan right as she approached the door.

"How is it going?" Natasha whispered.

"Nothing serious, mainly seasickness and excessive blood loss, but the blood has now been transfused back. He should wake up soon."

"What about the seasickness? I didn't find any medication for it."

Beihan shook his head and said, "There won't be any seasickness medication here. They never planned to serve any tourists. This place is just a hunting ground for certain people, to round up all the difficult ones and let them perish at sea."

"Stop dwelling on the reasons; we need a solution. They've cut off the power to the ship, it looks like they plan to take out the targets one by one."

At that moment, a shout came from the room, Beihan went in and soon came out with something in his hand.

Natasha leaned over and saw it, saying, "Isn't that the weird Spray Drug Bottle? Do you guys know what's inside?"

Beihan looked down and said, "It looks like it just fell to the ground and got damaged. We were going to open it up for repairs anyway, let's take a look..."

He quickly dismantled the metallic part on the outside and upon opening it, they found it was a standard inhaler-type Spray Drug Bottle with raised letters printed on the tail end.

Beihan narrowed his eyes and read carefully, then said, "This should be just ordinary asthma medication, but the bottle shows signs of being resealed. He probably mixed something else into it."

"What could it be?"

"A sniff will tell."

Natasha grabbed Beihan's wrist and said, "Are you crazy? You dare to inhale what Shiller did?"

"What's the issue? It's just medication, and it won't be a problem as long as the dose is small."

Natasha opened her mouth and then closed it. She couldn't very well say that Shiller's true form was a mist and it wasn't odd for him to inhale anything, of which some substances had particularly powerful effects.

Beihan pinched the Spray Drug Bottle and sprayed it lightly, fanned the air to smell it, then stumbled backwards.

Natasha, quick on her feet, caught him, and Beihan shook his head and said, "My God, how much sedative did he add to this?"

"There's sedative in this?"

"More accurately, it's like an anesthetic," Beihan said, forcing his eyelids up. "Keep it away, this thing could affect my cognitive efficiency."

Natasha reluctantly took the Spray Drug Bottle from his hand. At that moment, the other Batman figures came out. The Prime Universe Batman looked at the data displayed on his Bat Computer attached to his arm and said, "No problems. He'll wake up in three minutes, and after that, he just needs to rest well."

After finishing, all three Batmen left together. Natasha then stopped Bruce and said, "Wait, where are you guys going?"

"There's still a mess downstairs," Bruce sighed. "No one can leave until we get the ship back to shore. We have to find a way to deal with the trouble."
