Deep into the night, on the streets of Manhattan, Dora is hot on Eddie's heels, she asks, "Where are you going?"
"Didn't you say we were going to sneak into the Life Foundation base?"
"Yes, but not this way, first we have to go to the Brooklyn Area..."
Eddie stops, turns and looks at Dora, "You're not planning on taking me in like this, are you?"
"I have high-level access to the base, I can drive straight in, you just have to hide in the trunk..."
"Don't be foolish, this doesn't count as a plan."
"Do you have detailed maps of the base? How are we supposed to find where Drake keeps the ultra-classified information once we're inside? And how are we supposed to crack the securities system? How do we open the safe? How do we evade the security guards? How should we gather evidence? What if we have physical evidence, how do we move it? What if we're discovered, how do we escape?"
"You're going in without any preparations?"
Dora stares at Eddie in astonishment, she asked in disbelief, "You're really a reporter, how can you be so proficient at this?"
Eddie doesn't answer her question because he doesn't know himself, he asks Venom in his mind, "You're really an alien? How can you be proficient at this?"
"Because I am a bat...Oops, I mean Venom!"
Eddie tells Dora, "Go drive the car, I've got a few friends who can work with us."
The two return to Eddie's apartment where Peter, Matt and Thor are already waiting. After Eddie enters, all three cast their gaze towards him. Peter looks at the emblem on his chest, then down to the Spider-Man suit emblem on his own and says, "Hey! That's my Spider emblem!"
"Take a closer look, is this a spider?" A hoarse voice came from Eddie's throat.
Peter chokes, he murmurs quietly, "Okay, but you've just replaced the spider with a bat, the pattern design is the same, you'll have to pay royalties..."
"Three barrels of cheese balls."
"It has to be five barrels, and they have to be big barrels."
"Deal."
When Dora enters, Eddie introduces her to the others. Peter brings a chair for Dora, and the five sit around the coffee table.
"Thor and I have been selected as volunteers." Peter begins, then looks at Matt, who shakes his head and says, "Don't forget, I'm still a lawyer. They might have doubts about that profession, so I wasn't selected."
"You and Thor, one a penniless high school student and the other an ex-hobo worker, of course the Life Foundation will find it easier to trust you."
Dora stares wide-eyed at Peter and Thor, she says, "You guys didn't actually volunteer for the Life Foundation, did you? That's dangerous, you mustn't go!"
"If it's just testing finished drugs it's not so bad, but if you end up in product development, you might die!"
"They're not really volunteering, they're just trying to work with us from the inside to figure out the secrets of the Life Foundation."
"But let me warn you." Dora says seriously, "They have extremely tight control over their volunteers. Once you enter the base, they might inject you with sedatives or other calming drugs, and then you won't be able to resist."
"Take it easy, they are not ordinary people. At least, sedatives will certainly be useless."
"Can you get a detailed map of the foundation base?" Eddie asks Dora.
After thinking for a moment, Dora responds, "No problem."
"The part of the experiment I'm responsible for is very important. Drake gave me the highest level of access, which means that my pass can directly open the door to the security room, and there should be a detailed map in the computer."
"But my speciality is in biology. If the computer has security program protection, I may not be able to crack it."
At this point Peter raises his hand, he says, "Once I infiltrate and you come to find me, we can go in together. I'll take care of cracking the computer."
Matt then tells Thor, "Although you don't have any extra powers, your constitution is different than that of ordinary people. Most human drugs are ineffective on you, so you'll operate with Peter, creating a chance for a jailbreak, then be on standby to receive the two of them."
"Alright."
"So, the plan is..."
Three days later, a car with its high beams on turns into the entrance of a factory on the east side of the Brooklyn Area. As it reaches the gatehouse, a woman's hand reaches out from the window of the car, the guard verifies her pass with a machine.
The guard looks down at the machine screen where a picture of a woman appears, next to it was the name "Dora Milnáz."
Under the illumination of the car lights, the Life Foundation Headquarters ahead is shrouded in darkness, with only the twinkling lights from the windows in high floors. In one of the windows, Peter stands amongst a group of people, listening to Drake discussing about the so-called "Life Stone" concept.
"...You, yes you, you seem quite young, what's your name?"
"My name is Peter, Peter Parker, sir."
"Very good, Peter, that's a good name." Drake walks up to Peter, puts his arm around his shoulder, and says, "You're not like those vagabonds who were taken downstairs, you will be the great practitioners of the Life Stone project, and you will be the first to try it. Your name will be written on the monuments of human history."
