Chapter 3056 - Chapter 2207: Battle of the Two Cities! (48)_1

Of course, it couldn't be decided just like that, no one was willing to stay, everybody was clamoring to get out.

This is also related to the American scene. Many people say that there is no burden of academic competition here, but in fact, socializing here can be tiresome. Many people say that here schools dismiss students at 3 in the afternoon, but nobody mentions that they then have to participate in six clubs and two community activities.

These clubs and activities aren't really tiring and help to enhance social skills, but if they are not done for the purpose of pleasure, they are destined to bring pain.

Socializing due to your character and interests is one thing, but it becomes something else when done for extended networks, an entry into high society, or for social class mobility.

At least academic studies have an answer key, but in social circles, you can mess up and not even realize how you messed up. If your parents also lack insight, then you end up severing all possibilities of going up the social ladder.

Most American adolescents take the path of socializing, after all, schools barely teach anything. To become a real scientist, one either has to invest heavily in elite education or rely on their insight and talent, like Peter.

Although most people aren't psychological geniuses, they do gain some insight from doing this from a young age. They know very well how to achieve social domination. In other words, the rule for social domination is to never debate specifics.

"This damned madman! He just can't stand me!" Big Waves started ranting again, saying with a typical Kardashian inflection to the guy in the duckbill hat: "You're the type that discriminates against gender, right? Do you how much my body is worth? 200,000 dollars! Money you wouldn't be able to earn in your entire lifetime!"

Just then, a black lady spoke up: "That's enough, hun. I didn't want to interrupt you earlier because we should be focusing our energy on what really matters."

Penguin Man was about to applaud her, only to hear her say next.

"You shouldn't always bring up your boobs, ass, and your body, it's blatant body shaming. Do you have to link your artificially modified, not-at-all-beautiful body with money? Who do you think you are? The bitch Kim Kardashian?"

"Hey, don't talk about her like that." The tattooed man speaks up. "I quite like her husband."

The black lady exploded like a lit barrel of explosives and began to spit out a series of black slang and curses at Kim Kardashian, the spittle nearly sprayed onto Penguin Man's face.

But this was only the beginning. Penguin Man finally interrupted their argument and decided to have everybody go out and inform others, he and Peter would stay back and work. However, the short-haired girl raised an objection.

"Why should we use cars to block the door? We should go get some weapons, not hide in this cabin, as if we're scared of them."

"You're making it sound easy, where are we supposed to get weapons?" The tattooed man raised his voice: "Are you going to go and bribe the police?"

"We should give them a taste of their own medicine." Big Waves said again: "I agree, we can't just hide here, we must go out on the streets to defend our rights."

Her point was echoed by others. Penguin Man held out his hands in frustration and said: "Wait a minute, listen to me. These security measures are temporary, they're to prepare us for fighting for our rights."

Upon hearing his words, the short-haired girl grumbled a few words under her breath, but Big Waves brushed her hair and said: "Those two scrap cars aren't going to be of any use. When I came here, I saw a bus stop at the intersection. We should get the bus driver to bring the bus over here."

"Our mayor is in danger now because he spoke up for us. So, should it only be us who stand up and protect him? Why shouldn't the bus driver do the same?"

"That makes sense." The short-haired girl nodded: "We're not trying to steal the bus. We just want him to temporarily block the back door. This's to defend our collective rights. He has no right to refuse. "

"But I saw the police over there." Said the tattooed man, hesitating.

"If the bus driver voluntarily drives the bus over here, can the police manage that?" Big Waves manipulated her tone: "This is our freedom. What right does he have to intervene?"

And with that, a few of them were about to go to the bus stop to find the bus driver. Penguin Man quickly stepped in front of the door to stop them, saying: "We shouldn't be clashing with the police now. After all, no one knows if they're real policemen, or hitmen sent by someone."

They all instantly looked surprised, the short-haired girl took a step back, looking afraid, as if they hadn't thought of this possibility at all.

"Let's go and get some more people first." Penguin Man stuck with his plan: "I need more people to know what we're doing. Only by spreading our message will there be greater hope."

Actually, Penguin Man just realized that the ones who voluntarily stayed back were all oddballs. His experiences dealing with both the mobsters and the straight edge guys gave him a strong understanding of people. In the room now, other than him and Peter Parker, all were only good at running their mouths.

But under these circumstances, there were no higher expectations to be had. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Since they can run their mouths, if they could rally more people, surely some would spring into action.
