Chapter 305 - Chapter 196: The Plot Begins to Deviate (Part 2)_1

The situation in the room was very peculiar, because the moment Venom appeared, the first sound he made was: "Ugh..."

Spider Man was shocked, he said angrily yet reproachfully: "You...just because we didn't cooperate very well, doesn't mean you can do this! I thought we were friends!!!"

"It's not because of you..." Venom exclaimed with his mouth wide open, pointing at Thor, he turned to him and yelled: "Stay away from me, damn..."

Thor was also very angry, he said: "How dare you speak to me like that! I am the son of the Father of All Gods! The prince of Asgard, you a goddamned stowaway!"

"I am not a stowaway, you damned human beings!!"

"What does this have to do with humans?!" Spider Man scolded Venom vociferously: "It's clearly your lack of manners!!"

Anyway, an argument inflamed amongst the three of them, finally being halted by Matt who followed Spider Man into the room.

Matt calmed the room with a single thump of his cane, putting a stop to the trio who were hardly better behaved than kindergarteners.

Finally, the four of them sat in four different directions around the coffee table, Venom was closest to the door, Thor was to the left, Spider Man to the right, and Matt was opposite them.

"Let's first discuss what's going on here." Matt redirected the conversation to the main point: "Previously, we figured out from Bullseye that Kingpin seems to be dealing in Eternity Factor related business."

"We found that Kingpin seems to have sold a batch of Eternity Factor Potions to Hand Union, but their deal seemed to have run into some issues, leading to a fallout between them."

Continuing on Matt's train of thought, Peter said: "The one who was responsible for dealing with Hand Union previously was Bullseye, from him, we got some information about a Hand Union base and I've been staking out around this base for the past few days, trailing their ninjas."

"The daily task of the ninjas is to patrol around New York, usually, their patrol routes are fixed, but who knew that today, two ninjas went off-route. I followed them all the way here only to discover that they were actually trying to kill you guys. Can you explain this?"

Matt's tone was still very composed, he said: "Hand Union is a very efficient organization, even though they have a high kill count, their targets are very specific, they wouldn't bother killing those who are inconsequential."

"How would I know why this is happening?" Thor looked rather puzzled: "Could it be that they came for me? But I'm not an Earthling, I don't have anything to do with people here, let alone hold any grudges against Hand Union."

At this point, all three of them were fixating their gazes on Venom, who looked out-of-place sitting on the tiny couch, given his enormous size.

His aura didn't match the vibe of the other three people in the room. Although the other three weren't exactly ordinary, at least they were human-shaped. When you add a few meters high black monster to the mix, the scene looks very unnerving.

Matt whispered to Spider Man: "Is this the alien organism you mentioned has been living within you?"

After studying Venom top to bottom, he asked: "Are you sure that all he has done while living within you was to nag you to do homework, interfere with your courtship with Gwen, and prevent you from going out to play???"

Despite uttering these words, Matt himself seemed skeptical, as the creature before him didn't seem even remotely like a tutor.

"There are more bad things I haven't told you!" Peter added fuel to the fire out of spite towards Venom pretending to vomit when looking at him: "When I was playing basketball with others, he wanted me to purposely knock into people; and when I went to pay at the convenience store, he wanted me to run away without paying. Also, he ate all the cheese balls Gwen bought, and didn't leave even a single chocolate cookie that Aunt May baked!"

"I didn't eat all of them! I left a few pieces, didn't I? And, the cookies ended up in your stomach too, didn't they? You're blaming it all on me..." Venom shouted at Spider Man with his massive mouth full of sharp teeth.

Matt palmed his forehead and said: "Stop arguing! Can we focus on the matter at hand?"

Then, he summarised to himself: "I also think it's not likely they were targeting Thor. Thor just arrived a few days ago, he neither has any affiliation nor history with the Hand Union to irk them enough to send ninjas to kill him."

"Therefore that only leaves..." Peter looked at Venom and said: "It definitely must be you stirring up some trouble again."

"How should I know!" Venom displayed a defiant attitude, only after being questioned by Matt and Spider Man, did he reluctantly reveal what had happened before.

After Venom had detached itself from Spider Man, all it wanted was a host in a normal person and to rest and nurse its wounded mind.

Initially, Eddie, his host, wasn't bad. He was a very ordinary person who didn't have tornado-like temper flares 10 times a day or unleash a torrent of bile. The best of all, he didn't have to tutor kids. Venom was living quite a peaceful life.

However, the symbiont race tends to affect the emotions of their host. With the exception of Spider Man who had a slightly better temper, the rest of Venom's previous hosts were not easy to deal with.

Thus, after Eddie saw those documents from the Life Foundation, his anger exploded and he successfully enraged Drake, the boss of Life Foundation, resulting in Eddie losing his job and becoming penniless. Consequently, both he and Venom had to endure hunger.
