Deathstroke's car was instantly crushed, while he himself quickly retreated, turned and threw a grappling hook that attached to the Hulk's hair and swung again, landing securely on the Hulk's back.
The moment a dart with a sharp blade appeared in Deathstroke's hand, a bullet flew over, penetrating the back of his hand. He turned to see Hawkeye on a helicopter.
"Hey, guy in the armor, keep your distance from the big guy. We need to draw him out of the city to avoid any further destruction!"
The wound on Deathstroke's hand healed rapidly. He had no intention of heeding the advice, and continued to draw his own weapon. In the next second, another shield flew over, hitting Deathstroke's arm as he bent backwards to avoid the attack.
He turned to see a man in a vibrant red and blue uniform gesturing at him.
To be honest, Deathstroke was a bit confused at the moment.
From the looks of the situation, should this green beast, the Hulk, and the Big Devil be considered enemies by these law enforcers? Why are they messing around while he's beating down the Hulk?
"Get down, get down, cousin, you can't hit him, if he goes berserk he'll throw Earth away!!!"
Deadpool's heart-wrenching yell sounded in Deathstroke's ear, and this time he decided to trust him, actually because Deathstroke didn't want to annoy law enforcement so soon. If the city was put under lockdown, his efficiency would drop drastically.
Deathstroke retracted his grappling hook and jumped off the Hulk's back, but the Hulk had no intention of letting him go, continuing to pursue and beat him, roaring and beating his chest as he did so.
The rest could be let go, but the Hulk's roaring was really annoying. However, considering the high price of this job, Deathstroke put up with it, quickly slithered under Hulk's fist, nodded to Deadpool, and signaled to hurry away.
Hawkeye on the helicopter finally attracted the Hulk's attention with several explosive bombs, drawing him to the other side of the bridge. The Hulk ran over there, but neither Captain America nor Natasha showed any intention of following the Hulk.
Deathstroke was again confused. Who were these two intimidating figures, crouched and clutching their weapons, targeting? Surely it wasn't him?
Soon, he understood, as an agile figure swept across the sky above the bridge, followed by the sound of explosive devices detonating. The resulting explosion was more intense than any before, clearly indicating the use of large-scale bombs.
"Green Goblin! Stop! You can't agitate the Hulk anymore!!" Captain America shouted angrily, throwing his shield at the Green Goblin, who easily dodged with a nimble somersault.
Wearing a broad smile, the Green Goblin flew low again, dropping a bomb. A pumpkin bomb landed precisely next to the Hulk's foot and exploded instantly with a beep.
The Hulk went berserk again, swinging his arms and chasing after the Green Goblin. But Deathstroke stood in his way, ready or not it was time to fight.
Deathstroke threw his grappling hook once more, jumped onto Hulk's back, and rode him like a horse, standing up on his shoulders. He first fired a couple of shots at Green Goblin's skateboard; not to destroy it, but to force him to change position.
Hawkeye, now on the bridge, instantly understood the intention of this tactical master. He quickly drew his bow and released three arrows blocking the Green Goblin in three directions.
The Green Goblin was fully aware of the power of Hawkeye's explosive arrows. In mid-air, he performed a hawk-like roll, rushing towards the only possible escape route. However, upon turning, his vision encountered a momentary blind spot. Deathstroke swiftly hooked the end of the skateboard and forcefully yanked it downward.
The skateboard lost its balance in an instant, its engine trailing a bright arc of flame in the sky. But Deathstroke didn't let go. He was betting that the science-freak on the skateboard would rely on his personally crafted tech gear, accelerating to forcefully escape.
As expected, when the Green Goblin realized his skateboard had been caught, he didn't regard the human-size Deathstroke. His engine thrusted forth flames as the skateboard, carrying a grappling hook, darted out like an arrow off its string.
He was busy fleeing and didn't notice that Deathstroke's legs were firmly locked around the Hulk's neck like hydraulic pincers gaining horsepower.
With the Green Goblin's skateboard catapulting forward, Deathstroke and the Hulk attached to the grappling hook soared into the sky.
A small-bodied Green Goblin could weave through the beams of the Brooklyn Bridge, and Deathstroke, not much bigger than him, could easily follow. But this was a disaster for the Hulk.
The Hulk was initially stupefied when he left the ground. The next moment, his shoulder got stuck in the metal bridge framework, not allowing him to raise his arms to pull at Deathstroke's legs. He was utterly jammed, reduced to a giant human plug.
When Hulk jumped over, he initially punched a large hole in the ground. Now, by hitting Deathstroke, he further damaged the road surface. His stuck point happened to be between these two points of destruction and, with a deafening clash, the middle part of the Brooklyn Bridge was pulled down in its entirety.
Captain America and Natasha, standing on the bridge, along with the mages, were immediately lifted off the ground. Agent Natasha swiftly grabbed onto the railing of the bridge but was hit on her arm by Captain America's falling shield, causing her to fly out.
A deep red sling passed under Natasha's armpit, tightened around her waist, catching the falling Natasha in mid-air. Gritting her teeth and stamping her feet, Natasha extended a grappling hook and latched onto Captain America's waist, holding him up too.
After hitting Natasha, the shield was heading straight for Deadpool's head. Deadpool, aware of how hard the shield was, widened his eyes; if it hit his forehead, it would surely split it open.
Deadpool hurriedly stretched his arm to block, but the entire bridge surface had already turned vertical. Initially, he was holding onto the roadside to keep from falling. Once his hands were off it, Deadpool paused for a second, looked towards the sky, covered his mouth with one hand, and spoke.
"Heads up! Deadpool might take part in the newest 'Aquaman' shooting. Off for some swim practice, bye!"
With that said, he dropped straight down.
Captain America, who was being held up, saw the gleaming shield flying towards him. He instinctively reached out to catch it but almost dislocated his own arm.
Peering over the edge, Captain America spotted Deadpool's head slowly emerging beneath his shield. Deadpool gave him a sly wink.
In this sequence, the Green Goblin's skateboard was dragging a grappling hook, the grappling hook was attached to Deathstroke, Deathstroke's leg held the Hulk's neck, Hulk's shoulder was stuck in the Brooklyn Bridge's beams, the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge was tied to a magician, who was clutching Natasha with a sling, Natasha was holding Captain America with her grappling hook, and Captain America was dangling Deadpool with his shield.
This chain of characters flew dramatically towards New City, sailing past Bruce, who had just climbed onto the rooftop.
Bruce rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
