Chapter 300 - Chapter 193: The Adventures of Thunder God Thor (Part 3)_1

Daredevil Matt greeted Peter and Thor in his cabin, and Thor asked Peter in surprise, "Is he blind?"

"Yes, Matt is blind, but it really doesn't affect much."

"But you told me, he's a hero who fights crime, how can he fight criminals like this?"

"Who says a blind man can't fight crime?" Matt hit Thor with his cane, so fast Thor didn't even have time to dodge.

Thor was genuinely taken aback, and said, "You can see where I am? And so fast?"

Instead, Peter asked Thor, "Aren't there any disabled people in Asgard?"

"Of course not, we are the god clan, blessed by the World Tree, born as warriors, however…" Thor pondered for a moment, "If I must say, those under 300 years old are considered children and need to be taken care of."

"The rest are all soldiers?" Peter asked astonished, "Except for children, everyone is a warrior, isn't that too exaggerated?"

Thor waved his hand proudly and said, "Asgardians are the best at fighting in the cosmos and that is why we are able to protect the Nine Major Kingdoms. But it's not that exaggerated, we also have some auxiliary troops, such as blacksmiths, stonemasons, and of course, some mages. They aren't as physically capable as warriors and usually stay in the rear, but they are still much stronger than Earthlings."

"However, that seems reasonable." Thor suddenly changed gears, "If Earthlings were as strong as Asgardians, who in the cosmos could handle you? With your population and reproduction rate, if everyone was as strong as Asgardian warriors, you'd rule the cosmos by now."

Then he stroked his chin thoughtfully and said, "My father once told me, humans have a short life span, which is both a disadvantage and an advantage. Asgardians have long lives, which seems to pose some problems, but I didn't understand it..."

At this moment, Matt came over with three cups of coffee, and they gathered around the table in his cabin. After spreading a map on the table and taking a sip of coffee, Matt said, "A few days ago Erica told me there's unusual activity in the Hand Union again, it looks like a major operation. I could use some help."

"No problem, I can help, but we need to finish by the end of the month, I'm going with Gwen on a trip to Hollywood."

Both Matt and Thor looked at Peter, Peter stared back at them, "What? This is our first trip. I've been looking forward to it for a long time!"

Thor shook his head and said, "If you were in my brigade, I'd have you run three rounds around Asgard to clear your head."

Matt knocked on the table, saying, "Before we move against the Hand Union, we must first figure out what they're actually working on."

"What else could it be? Didn't you say before? Everything they've been planning is to find the Dragon Bone."

"But something is strange. According to the information Erica and I gathered, the Hand Union seems to have had a falling out with Kingpin lately, but we're not sure why. I'm planning on starting from there and investigating the Hand Union's ultimate goal, to thwart their evil plan."

"Alright, what's our first step?"

"Did you know Bullseye has been released?"

"What? How long has he been in jail?" Peter voicing his surprise, "Last time, didn't I …..."

"It's not surprising for Bullseye to be acquitted if Kingpin is willing to pay the price. What's strange is why Kingpin chose to bail him out at this particular time. Is Kingpin really going to war with the Hand Union?"

"What are you guys talking about?" Thor asked quite confused, "And why am I even involved? What does this have to do with me?"

"What else are you going to do then?" Finished speaking, Peter turned to Matt saying, "He is an ally, at least I'm sure he's not a spy for Kingpin."

"Hey, did you ask me? I don't intend to join in..."

"Okay, he might look a bit silly, but it's better than not having an ally."

"How can you ignore…"

Two hours later, Peter and Thor were crouched outside a bar's entrance, peering in. Peter turned to Thor and said, "You stir up some trouble first, I'll cover the back."

Thor huffed, "You dare say the bravest warrior of Asgard is useless? Isn't it just a bar brawl? I know the drill!"

With that, he strutted into the bar. The doorman looked him over and tried to stop him, asking, "Who are you? Do you have an invitation?"

"Who am I? Have you never seen me?"

Thor sounded very righteous, the guard was astounded.

The guard looked at Thor from head to toe, and indeed, Thor's presence fit right into Hell's Kitchen. Tall stature, long golden hair, a rugged face with a full beard, and a warrior-like bravado about him. His intriguing accent had the guard mistaking him for a mob boss from Texas, and for a moment, he didn't dare stop him.

After Thor entered, he brushed past someone near the bar counter. He made a fuss and shouted, "Are you blind? Damn you..."

"Hey, Texan! You were the one who bumped into me!"

The two started arguing and quickly escalated into a fight. Peter sneaked into the back entrance with Pikachu, incapacitating a guard and snuck in. Peter looked around at the wiring, found the main switch, Pikachu sparkled, and blackout hit the bar, leaving it pitch-dark.
