Chapter 2955 - Chapter 2121: Superman's Gotham Adventure (Complete)_1

Peter and Clark shook hands.

"I'm very sorry, sir. I really wanted to chat with you more," Peter began, "but there's a very pressing issue right now. We need to deal with the insane behavior of the Gotham citizens."

Clark seemed to have noticed that the madness among the city folks couldn't possibly be a sudden burst of creativity on their part, but rather the influence of some external factor. Thus, he asked curiously, "Do you know why they are acting crazy?"

"That lady didn't want me to say too much because she's scared... well, there's no harm in telling you. Previously, people in this city were anesthetized by a toxin as a makeshift solution, but that caused a little side effect."

"Did it affect their sanity?"

"I wouldn't say it made them insane, sir. They're just a bit more excited than usual."

Clark placed his hands on his hips and sighed, "You're much more polite than Batman, but I must say this is dangerous."

"The real danger, despite my confidence that Batman can clean this up quickly, is how you're going to handle his anger."

Peter's expression fell, and he quickly stepped back, apologizing, "I'm sorry, Mr. Kent. I have to deliver these criminals where they belong. Batman is still waiting for my report."

Clark noticed his youth and so waved his hand, saying, "It's good that you boys have it handled, but I should be doing something too. I am going to sort out the areas in chaos first, give me a call when you've found a solution."

Peter nodded vigorously. Clark quickly took off, ready to handle the mess as he had said, especially those that would cause significant security risks.

Peter swiftly transferred the members of the Court of Owls to the prison in the Batcave. Then he called Batman in the Batcave, saying, "I've locked them up, is there anything else that needs to be done?"

"Not for now, what are you doing?"

Peter paused, realizing he may have given himself away, but he still explained, "I am still looking for that weird trophy, progress so far is good."

Bruce Wayne quickly hung up. Peter ran back to the lab as if his pants were on fire, yelling at Poison Ivy, "Think of a way, Batman is about to find out."

"Wait, he hasn't found out yet?" Poison Ivy said in surprise, "I thought he already knew."

"You underestimate the workload of a president, especially since Bruce Wayne took office in such a way, it's the kind of job that keeps Batman too busy to suspect others." Scarecrow added.

"So we still have a chance." Peter pushed Poison Ivy forward, saying, "As long as we can sort things out before Batman frees up, there is still hope for a turnaround."

Poison Ivy hesitated, but she finally agreed, "Alright, then what should we do? I don't think we can shirk responsibility just by talking."

"Don't worry, I just came up with a plan."

"Just now? What were you doing?"

"I met someone, he's the key to solving our problem."

In the White House office, Bruce frowned after hanging up the phone. He had been very busy lately, so busy that he didn't have time to care about the situation in Gotham.

But that didn't mean he was completely clueless. Although he didn't have time to check the surveillance, he had spoken to Gordon a few times, and Gordon seemed to be choosing his words carefully.

More importantly, now there's a Metropolis rescue dog running rampant in his city, which made Batman feel somewhat uneasy.

After contemplating for a while, Bruce turned to his assistant and said, "Prepare the plane, I'm going back to Gotham."

At this moment, Harley Quinn was riding a hippo, while other Joker Gang members were either swinging alligators or driving excavators, patrolling the streets.

Suddenly, a figure swung from the sky, landing on the rooftop across. Harley Quinn looked up and saw Spider-Man.

"Stop this, you know this chaos won't last long, I think we can negotiate."

"Isn't it a bit late to think about negotiating now?" Harley Quinn tilted her mouth, blew at her bangs, swirled her hammer, and said, "Come let me smash your little head in, and I'll let your merchandise go."

"You know you can't do anything to us, you can't find our lab, and once the active ingredients are extracted, I'll activate the weather weapon, you don't have the technology to disarm it."

Harley Quinn's eyes gave off a chilling aura, she revealed her pearly white teeth, viciously staring at Spider-Man, saying, "I really don't like you, kid. Has anyone ever told you? Pointing out other people's shortcomings will have you forever alone!"

"Sorry, but I'm already engaged."

For some reason, Harley Quinn seemed more shocked by Spider-Man's engagement than the threat of the weather weapon. She even froze on the spot.

"What do you mean?" Spider-Man felt offended and asked, "Can't I get engaged? Do I look like the kind of guy who can't get a girlfriend?"

Harley Quinn puckered her mouth, looked into Peter's eyes, her facial expression as if to say, 'I'm too kind-hearted to tell you the truth.'

"Seriously, kid." Harley Quinn rested her hammer against the ground and leaned both hands on the handle, saying, "Not to brag, but I used to be a psychiatrist, do you know you look like the kind of tech-nerd who'd grow old alone with cells in a petri dish?"
