Chapter 2947 - Chapter 2114: Superman's Gotham Adventure (Part Five)_1

Only Clark wasn't taken away by the policewoman.

She definitely was a police officer, because Clark took a good look at the badge hanging in front of her chest. There was her badge number on it, and her tone indicated that she wasn't lying.

Clark felt a bit lost.

The feeling was like time had silently slipped away from under his eyelids. He seemed to have done something during that period, but he felt like he hadn't. He suspected that his super-brain was blocking out things he wasn't supposed to remember.

Clark had no choice but to move on.

Just as he stepped out of the construction site, he saw another man running after someone. The one in front was a thin man, followed by a slightly overweight blonde guy.

The man being chased was screaming all the way, but Clark understood, because the guy chasing him was holding a crocodile.

Theoretically, an adult male crocodile can't be used as a weapon by the human race, because their waist strength is much greater than imagined, and ordinary people can't possibly hold them down.

But that crocodile had been modified, strapped with something like a construction safety belt around its body, firmly fixed at the waist of the fat man, becoming a part of his belt.

Just when Clark thought about stopping the fat man's violent act, two kids burst out of a house and started to wildly spray him with a garden hose.

After getting soaked, the fat guy clearly got angry, punched the crocodile he was carrying hard, making the crocodile open its mouth wide. He then charged towards the garden, scaring the kids away.

The mother of the children seemed to have witnessed the scene from the window. She rushed out from the front door with incredible speed, stuffed a towel into the crocodile's wide-open mouth, and knocked the fat man to the ground with two slaps.

The skinny man who had been howling while being chased came back, took a pair of gardening shears from somewhere, and quickly cut open the safety belt tied on the fat man's waist. He grabbed the now freed crocodile and started to run.

Before he could even get halfway down the street, an old man unloading a trunk extended a leg and tripped him. The old man picked up the crocodile and walked towards the barbecue grill in his backyard.

Clark slowly put down his hand, which he had just raised.

The mother was still cursing at the fat man over the fence. The fat man lying on the ground was responding with colourful language. As a result, the mother motioned for her three kids to go into the house and bring out a bag of white powder. She poured it all into a bucket of water and started spraying the fat man's face again.

Then Clark saw the mother pick up her phone and call: "Hello, police? I want to report that someone is causing trouble while high on drugs... Yes, definitely a drug overdose. He even used drugs to bathe. You'll see when you get here."

Clark was frozen in place. No police department in this world would react to such an absurd reason...

Sizzle--sizzle--

A police car drifted smoothly around a corner and stopped in front of the house at at least 120 mph. A tattooed bald, fat cop rushed out of the car, grabbed the fat man on the ground, sniffed him, and waved at the officer behind him.

The officer behind him handed him a cellphone. The fat cop pressed some buttons and put it to his ear, saying, "Hello, Boss, we found the lost shipment. Someone's been using it in their bath."

"Yes, the situation is very urgent. He's resisting hard. My subordinates are bravely fighting him, but we're not sure if we can catch him. He's really off his rocker."

The mother stretching her neck to see from behind the fence immediately opened her mouth wide, closed her fingers together, and made the symbol of biting with her hand. The fat cop immediately signaled back with an "ok".

"He's out of his mind. Two minutes ago he was biting a crocodile on the street. I think we need to contact the animal protection organization..."

The old man from the neighbouring house swayed his body along with the music while placing the crocodile meat on the grill.

"Yes, the whole street is filled with eyewitnesses. They all say they've never seen such a fierce criminal in their life. Boss, it's an adult bay alligator. He chased it for two miles, almost out of our jurisdiction..."

"Yes, the new boys were very quick, didn't let him get away. The credit is absolutely ours. I'll call Boss Oswald right now..."

The fat cop walked further and further away, talking on his phone, soon got into the police car, and disappeared from Clark's sight, leaving the so-called fierce criminal who chased the adult male bay-alligator for two miles and bit off half of its body on the side of the road.

"Want a piece?" called the old man in the garden, holding up a piece of crocodile meat.

Clark shook his head.

He sighed, resumed his pace, but before he could get out of the street, a limousine stopped in front of the house.

The short and fat Penguin Man stepped out, waving his umbrella, and yelled, "Where is the brave warrior who chased the crocodile? My two nightclubs are suffering from an alligator infestation, and we need such a brave person to help us out..."

Clark's super vision searched the street for the fat man, but couldn't find him. While he was momentarily stunned, gangsters in black suits had him surrounded.
