Chapter 292 - Chapter 187: Street Lights and Gods (Part 2)_2

"Yes, that is Mjölnir, born in the extinguished sun and dwarf fires! The branches of the World Tree give it new life! The blessings of the Father of All Gods give it strength!"

Steve glossed over the serenade he didn't understand at all. He continued, "Okay, that's not important. I already told you, that hammer is now occupying a family's yard. If it's your weapon, please take it away immediately."

Thor opened his mouth as if a bit difficult to express, but embarrassed to say it. Eventually, he sighed and said: "Okay, a great god cannot lie, I can no longer lift it."

"But isn't that your weapon?"

"The reason is complex!" Thor seemed a bit impatient, "I had a quarrel with the Father of All Gods..."

"So you and your hammer came here?"

Steve paused and said, "I will first assume that what you are saying is true and not the babbling of a madman."

"The Father of All Gods you mentioned should be your biological father. After you quarreled with your father, he kicked you out of the house..."

"The only question is, what does it have to do with the Earth or humanity? If he wants to kick you out of the house, why does he have to throw you specifically to Earth when the so-called Nine Major Kingdoms are so large?"

Unexpectedly, this led Thor to open up, and began to pour out his grievances: "I am the biological son of the Father of All Gods, the prince of Asgard, the future lord of the Nine Major Kingdoms, but during my coronation ceremony..."

"...Nevermind, humans wouldn't understand these details anyway. Suffice to say, I crashed into Jotunheim and caused a ruckus. But what of it?"

"... I can't figure it out either. Even if he threw me onto an ancient battlefield, why the Earth of all places? This remote and deserted corner?"

Thor was clearly furious, he hammered at the wall and loudly said, "There's not a single warrior here! I will go crazy from boredom here, and that would satisfy him, wouldn't it?!"

Steve finally understood why Natasha wore a look of helplessness and irritability. The mindset of the large man before him was like a steel beam, completely revolving around words like war, courage, warrior, and great Asgard. No matter what you discussed with him, it would always come back to these words.

Steve watched as Thor vented his anger, pressing his headset to speak to Shiller: "You previously told me this was an alien with a few screws loose, I didn't believe it at first. After all, how dumb can a race capable of space travel be?"

"But now it seems, bumping up all abilities to muscle is a viable strategy."

Shiller's response came through the headset: "Indeed, if one doesn't possess the significant wisdom necessary to create a spaceship, then they may as well just jump and hop over to Mars."

Both of them started laughing after that remark.

But Thor misunderstood this as them mocking him. He forcefully waved his arm, furiously saying, "Mortals! Even if an Asgardian god loses his power, he is not to be ridiculed by the likes of you!"

Steve took a step back. Evidently, Captain America knew that having a physical altercation with this giant wouldn't be a wise decision at this moment. He spoke into the earpiece again, suggesting to Shiller, "So what do we do now? It seems like he's completely impossible to communicate with."

"Let's start by giving him some psychotherapy. If that doesn't work, we'll think of another plan. For now, just..."

Steve asked Thor, "It seems like you don't understand your father's decision. I also think it's a bit too much for him to banish you this far just because of a single argument..."

Thor, feeling like he'd finally found a confidante, said, "I didn't think humans would understand me. Everyone around me says I'm wrong. They all side with Odin, but I didn't do anything!"

He huffed in frustration: "I'd previously accumulated so many merits, contributed so much to Asgard! Yet they act like they never saw any of it. Just because of one outburst, they cast me out, and even won't let me use my weapon. This is an outright insult to a warrior!"

"Isn't it possible that it's not just because of this one incident? Maybe there's been long standing resentment between you and your father?"

Thor pursed his lips, seemingly unwilling to admit it, but he still said, "Actually, I thought the same. I'd felt some disapproval from Odin before, but I thought as long as I achieved greater accomplishments, he wouldn't hold grudges against me..."

"I fought bravely on the battlefield and garnered numerous merits, but in the end, he still treated me this way." His voice finally lowered a bit, sounding sorrowful, "He kicked me out of the homeland that I've always protected, the place where I was born, the beautiful and sacred Asgard..."

"Alright, but wallowing in sorrow is useless now. Things have come to this, what do you plan to do?"

"I need to retrieve my weapon first!" Thor said in distress, "How can a warrior not have his weapon? This is a great disgrace!"

"But, to punish me, Odin took away all my divine power. Without the divine power, I can't lift that hammer."

Thor sighed, "He told me to learn on Earth, but I don't know what I should learn. Even without divine power, I'm still stronger than anyone here. Am I supposed to learn how to wage war from these fragile mortals?"
