Chapter 2910 - Chapter 2083: Knight's Night of Shocked Soul (25)_1

The finely spun flannel fabric in the slightly cold, damp air of the Batcave, gave off a subtle light with each small movement.

Jason saw, that the man who should appear in a banquet with his attire, was patiently explaining to Barbara about another Universe Batman.

"Yes, they have gone to another universe. There, Gotham is a city flying in the sky. But this isn't something that happened decades ago, but rather recently..."

"It's hard to imagine." Barbara shook her head and asked curiously, "Would they welcome another universe's Robin? Generally speaking, Batman doesn't like aliens coming to Gotham, neither should the other universe's."

"You understand Batman very well, Miss, but maybe there's a chance if Batman needs additional help." Shiller nodded and said with a smile, "Some time ago, that universe was invaded by the Apocalypse Star Emperor, the children were hoping to help him, and he allowed them to create a ruckus under his watch."

Shiller spoke very slowly, every word clearly pronounced. When it reached one's ears, you could hear a strange tone in the rise and fall of his voice, which was calming and comforting.

"That must have been an amazing sight." Nightwing spread his hands and said, "I'm not referring to the flying Gotham, but the Batman who can handle two Batman Families."

As he said this, he glanced towards the door to ensure that Batman had indeed left, reassuming the identity of Bruce Wayne, and temporarily did not have time to check the surveillance equipment. Thinking of this, he felt considerably relaxed.

"One is not that different from two." Shiller casually waved his arm and said, "Maybe he could even accept a third. If you guys are curious, I can ask him if he's willing to give you his contact information."

"No, thank you." Robin shook his head and said, "I don't know if he can accept a third Batman Family, but we definitely can't accept a second Batman."

Shiller smiled at this, Barbara nodded at Shiller and said, "I think you are a trustworthy psychologist. We won't disturb you any further. We hope you feel at home here during this time. We will do our best to ensure that."

"You are too kind, Miss." Shiller made way for Barbara. As Barbara moved forward in her wheelchair and passed by Shiller, she heard him say, "If you really don't want to leave, you can stay a little longer. This is your home too, isn't it?"

Barbara's hand that was holding the wheelchair's armrest tightened instantly. She turned her head back to look at Shiller, who was still smiling, looking completely non-threatening.

"It took me roughly the entirety of my schooling to rid myself of the misconception that psychologists can read minds. Are you trying to rewrite that understanding, Doctor?"

"Your anxiety is plain to see, Miss Gordon. I don't think it takes a mind reader to see that. Given what I know about the rest of the Batman Family, I suspect you're going to see your father."

Barbara stayed turned and stared at Shiller, then asked, "So, do you have any advice, Doctor?"

"Mr. Gordon won't blame you, but it's hard to say whether he'll misjudge Batman. If he finds out during his rage that Batman has left Gotham, it would make this brave warrior seem too much like a deserter."

"So you're suggesting I shouldn't be honest with him right now?"

"Perhaps it would be better if all three of you were present." Shiller lightly tapped the table next to him and said, "Don't forget, they are comrades who have fought side by side and, often, have relied on each other."

"Your actions will not only affect your relationship with the two of them, but also their relationship with each other. Would you want them to lose a friend?"

"Of course not." Barbara turned her head back, let out a deep sigh, and said, "But I'm not sure if I could keep it from him until Batman returns, and I don't want Batman to delay his time because of me."

"You care too much about others." Shiller shook his head and continued, "But if you want to delay it, perhaps pretending that the two of you are very busy might be effective."

"Thank you for your advice, Doctor. I will be in touch soon."

Barbara turned and left. Nightwing rubbed underneath his nose and said, "Batman just sent me an address. It's one of his safe houses. Do you need me to take you there?"

"Is there a car?" asked Shiller.

"Of course, there are two Batmobiles in the garage. But if you want an ordinary car, there is a Jaguar in the southeast garage above ground."

"Thank you, we can leave on our own."

Nightwing hesitated for a moment but still said, "I mean no disrespect, I have the utmost respect for all doctors, but..."

He glanced unintentionally at Jason, obviously implying the problem might lie with the patient, just short of saying, "Jason might not be willing to leave with you."

At that moment, Peter grabbed Nightwing's arm and said, "Let the professionals handle what they're good at, we should go."
