Following that, Shiller learned about the glorious deeds of the Soviet man who took over his body amidst Lucifer's fury.
The cause of it was this: in a certain cosmos, following the historical trajectory of most cosmos, the Soviet Union disintegrated in the winter of 1991. A military officer, or possibly a scientist with a military rank, committed suicide that day.
But coincidentally, Lucifer, who realized that he could never escape his angelic fate, decided to throw in the towel and completely abandon himself, disappearing his consciousness.
This meant his fond memories of God also vanished, something God couldn't accept.
Perhaps for some reason, he couldn't suppress this destiny directly. So God sent the soul of a child who had a karmic entanglement with Lucifer to a distant alien world.
Without a soul to control it, the body without a soul inevitably dies. Lucifer was shocked by God's move, and he didn't know if this child had parents or if his mother and father could accept his death.
So he resorted to some after-the-fact remedies, haphazardly picking a soul and shoving it into the body - the soul of the suicidal Soviet man.
Then, the most horrific thing happened - a soul that might be filled with the world's heaviest resentment took control of the body.
According to Lucifer, the superpowers of superpower users are actually a dual aspect of the soul and body. In other words, the departing soul of Shiller took away a part of the power, but part of the power remained in the shell.
So Lucifer didn't even get a prayer of thanksgiving from the unlucky soul; on the contrary, he was met with two resentful punches from the Soviet man.
Upon Shiller's persistent questioning, Lucifer grudgingly revealed the details of the scene at that time, which was similar to a weasel entering a henhouse. Feathers were flying everywhere.
Of course, Lucifer was not going to lose to a human child, but he was emotionally shocked at the time, and he was unprepared. He had a feather plucked by the original Shiller.
At that time, the original Shiller didn't have any specific purpose. He just attacked all the living creatures in front of him with full of resentment, and followed his instinct to create maximum damage.
As Lucifer said, this was just the beginning.
Shiller guessed that the cosmos where the original Shiller was in should be similar to the one he was in his previous life, which didn't have any godly existence and belonged to a low-power-level cosmos.
So his first reaction after seeing the real angels in this cosmos was to find out how these superpower beings came into existence.
Unfortunately for Lucifer, this curious child caught his lifeline, and he was even more atheistic than Lucifer.
Therefore, all the sweet talk couldn't get the feathers back, and the original Shiller, relying on this, often harassed Lucifer, asking him various kinds of questions and basically understanding the Heaven, Hell, and the human mystical world very well.
Lucifer said helplessly: "I thought it was just harmless curiosity, and I didn't need to lie, so I told him everything, including information about mystical beings that humans couldn't understand."
"But I didn't expect that this was the root of all the disasters."
Upon hearing this, Shiller had only one thought- there are more masters?
"Yes, this is still just the beginning," Lucifer said, with a complicated expression on his face.
At this moment, Shiller suddenly remembered that the original Shiller had mentioned in his message, and the facts also proved that he had started a magical department in the KGB.
So it seems that this must be what he did after his rebirth. With the information provided by Lucifer, could there be any mystical information he couldn't handle? No wonder he could rise quickly into being the head of a department.
"I've actually been paying attention to him all this while," Lucifer continued: "I won't always provide information for free, so we've maintained a steady trade."
"The pattern is something like this: I provide him with information, he finds fun things from all around the world for me to watch, and my interest in the human world mostly comes from his inspiration."
"And then what?" Shiller asked with great interest, knowing that if it was just this, Lucifer wouldn't consider it just the beginning.
"I thought he was exploring the secrets of magic and obtaining information from me just for promotion," Lucifer spread his hands, saying in a somewhat helpless manner: "That's how he's always appeared."
"At that time, I didn't understand at all, I thought what he meant by making up for past regrets was to compensate for his previous life's failure to achieve success and meet a good end."
Shiller already understood what was going on. As expected, Lucifer paused heavily and then said: "But the regret he wanted to make up for was still his country."
"I gradually realized this later, but by then it was already too late," Lucifer shook his head.
"What happened?" Shiller took a sip of his drink, leaning forward, listening intently.
"Do you remember, I told you, I told him about many mystical existences that humans couldn't understand at all?"
Shiller nodded.
"He used my feathers as a collateral, and borrowed a hefty sum from all those enigmatic entities. By the time I found out, he had fleeced almost all the fat sheep."
Lucifer's tone began to edge towards hysteria once again.
"You have no idea how much energy there was, enough to rebuild a heaven on earth. But do you know what he did with this energy?"
Shiller widened his eyes slightly. Wasn't it supposed to save the Soviet Union? Is there a twist to this story?
"He went to Gotham," Lucifer said with a hollow expression.
"His body was indeed very strong and his will steadfast, but the human body can only contain so much energy."
Lucifer gritted his teeth and said, "But, he really is a magic genius, he devised a method to compress energy more efficiently, pressing the horrifying energy he borrowed completely inside his body."
"Even so, there will always be a day when he would lose control. Perhaps, he was doing so to cause it to go out of control, and when that day came, he could go to Gotham with the ticking time bomb."
"Why would he do such a thing?" Shiller asked sincerely, as he was truly confused.
Previously, Shiller surmised that it could be because the energy accumulated by the original Shiller was insufficient and couldn't save the Soviet Union. Hence, he left the energy for Shiller to carry on his unfinished business.
Or perhaps the original Shiller realized that the Soviet Union at the time no longer deserved to be saved, so he voluntarily gave up and left the power to Shiller to resurrect a great cause anew.
But according to Lucifer, this power is enough to revive the Soviet Union thousands of times and enough to rebuild a Heaven on Earth. Even if it can't build a new cosmos, at the very least it could construct a simple cosmos like Battleworld. At that point, couldn't he just achieve whatever he desires?
So why did he give it up?
After Shiller posed his question, Lucifer took a sigh and said, "Actually, I think I'm to blame for this; I shouldn't have said that extra sentence."
Shiller leaned forward, he was desperate to know what could turn a staunch warrior away from his plan at the final moment.
"As I've said before, I talked to him about many things that humans can't understand, including some things only known to Archangels and God - yes, things you are aware of."
"There are some rules in this world that cannot be changed, like Batman, he is the anchor of the universe, and like Gotham, that is the most important stage. None can be saved."
"Perhaps you have heard of the legend of the Curse of Evil, the name the Ancient Great Magician calls the Source of Evil Flow? It is their interpretation of this unchanging world rule."
"After he got in touch with the magic realm, he heard about this so-called Curse of Evil from the magic realm, and came to ask me about it. I did my best to give him an explanation."
"All I could tell him was that so are the rules of the world, even things that God and I cannot change."
Lucifer's face dropped drastically, he even started to look a bit saddened. He took a deep breath and said: "He asked me one question — 'Is it that you cannot change it, or you do not want to change it?'"
"We all know the answer to this question, don't we? Just like my fate." Lucifer's speech squeezed out through his teeth, making him sound weak.
"How can there be things that the all-powerful God of countless universes cannot change? Is it that He cannot change, or He does not want to change?"
"At that moment, I realized the extent of disappointment he felt towards me was equal to the disappointment I felt towards God."
"He went to Gotham, he went to the source of the Curse of Evil."
Lucifer took a deep breath to say.
"He detonated the energy inside his body, which is an extremely powerful energy, enough to destroy the universe when fully exploded, but he chose to erase those unchangeable things."
"But aren't they unchangeable?"
"Yes, but they can exist in a different form," Lucifer looked at Shiller, "Haven't you already found the egg in Batman's body?"
Shiller was stunned for a moment before he finally understood.
He had wondered why the laughter of this universe existed in the form of an egg inside Bruce's body, why the Doomsday of this universe was an egg, and why these famously indestructible monsters became harmless.
"They were all sealed."
Lucifer said as he looked at Shiller, his eyes moist.
"When I arrived, he had only left behind one last sentence - 'I can accept that there are places in this world that have yet to be liberated, but I cannot accept that there are places that cannot possibly be liberated.'"
