Chapter 2756 - Chapter 1949 U: Surpassing Grand Event (38)_1

Shiller put his hands on the table between the two of them, looking very seriously at the female doctor.

After a moment of surprise, Doctor Aviluo showed a slightly familiar expression of helplessness. She also put her hands on the table and looked into Shiller's eyes to respond.

"Bandura mentioned in the social learning theory..."

Before she could continue, Shiller deeply sighed.

Bruce, outside the screen, couldn't help but shudder.

Lord Superman, who had been paying close attention to Bruce's state, immediately noticed his abnormality. He looked puzzled at the young man and asked, "Why are you shivering?"

"Nothing, this is a conditioned reflex, it means that the female doctor must have answered incorrectly."

"But she hasn't even started to answer yet!"

"That means she is wrong the moment she opens her mouth."

Doctor Aviluo also paused, slightly puzzled.

Having sighed, Shiller lightly tapped the table with the tip of his finger and said, "The social interaction determinism in social learning theory is a relatively independent theory. There is absolutely no need to mutually confirm it with any social learning mechanisms. What exactly do you want to answer?"

The look on Doctor Aviluo's face became unpleasant.

"Moreover, the factors involved in the decision chain include interpersonal factors and 'non-social' environmental factors. You're not planning to discuss social environmental factors, are you?"

Doctor Aviluo's face went from bad to worse.

"And most importantly," Shiller pushed his glasses up and asked, "Do you know what 'systematic review' implies? If this is an issue worth discussing, you need to be able to explain it for three days and three nights non-stop. This isn't an essay question on a college examination, you know?"

Doctor Aviluo's expression had gone completely sour.

Shiller sighed again, saying, "If you truly think I am a psychiatric patient rather than a true master of psychology, then you really don't need to answer this question."

"Your efforts to answer my academic questions are because you believe that a correct answer may convince me, which also means that you acknowledge my understanding of the subject. So answer me this - why would you think that a psychiatric patient would have this knowledge?"

Shiller lowered his eyes, softly saying, "Maybe I saw this question in a newspaper for entertainment purposes, and recited it without knowing the answer."

"But you answer it, assuming that I know the answer and thinking that if you can answer me correctly, then I will really believe you are a good psychologist. Miss Aviluo, why would you care if I believe you or not?"

Just as Doctor Aviluo was about to speak, Shiller's face paled, he said, "Didn't your mentors ever teach you that the number one rule of psychiatry internship is to never listen to what psychiatric patients say?"

Doctor Aviluo's face froze, and then she spoke in a muted voice unlike her, "Alright, Professor Shiller, I think we can..."

Suddenly, Shiller's body convulsed. He braced one hand on the table, his body lunging forward and gasping for breath.

In the Tower of Thought, Superego was staring at the rapidly increasing mental excitement readings, shouting, "Calm down! Otherwise it will happen again..."

"Boom!"

The entire ground of the High Tower suddenly shook. All the Shillers in numerous corridors and rooms were knocked down. Greed rushed out from one of the rooms, leaned over the balcony railing, and yelled down, "What's happening? Another earthquake?! Did Batman break in?!?"

"Morbid! He was over-excited just now!" Superego shouted out the door, "They are hitting the ceiling, which is our foundation!"

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

"Gray Mist! Lower the heart rate!"

"I can't get out!"

"...Arrogant! Arrogant! Hurry up and get the medicine!"

With a 'thud', Shiller's trembling hand smashed right through the table. He lunged sideways until he crashed into the wall of the examination room.

Doctor Aviluo was stunned. With shaking hands, she yelled, "Are you alright? You..."

"What about me? Didn't your mentor teach you?! Administer a tranquilizer!!!" Shiller yelled.

With another "thud", Shiller's shoulder slammed into the wall creating a dent. Then there was another quake, the chandelier swayed violently, and crashed at the feet of Doctor Aviluo.

Doctor Aviluo stumbled toward the door and said to the outside, "Nurse, prepare a tranquilizer, quickly!!!"

"Call for a nurse! With a straitjacket and a restraint bed! The mentor who signed your internship certificate should run for US President!"

Several dozen seconds later, the medical staff finally arrived. Unfortunately, the sickbed they brought was one size too large for the door and couldn't be pushed into the examination room.

They hadn't noticed when they were pushing it in. When the four strong men forcefully tried to push it in, the sickbed got stuck in the doorway, blocking the entrance.

Leaning against the wall, Shiller made a painful groan, shouting, "You should form a political party and run in this year's election. That way you could get the sickbed stuck in the door of Congress to make them realize the benefits of raising medical insurance standards!"

"What should I do now?!" Doctor Aviluo shouted.

"Just stand there and wait for me to recover!"

"What else can we do?!"

Shiller let out another pained growl, taking in a deep breath before gritting his teeth, "Roll over from the bed!!! Are all of you morons?!!"

The few blocked by the bed finally thought it through. The first two decisively climbed over the bed, then rolled down to enter the room, charging directly toward Shiller.

Halfway through, they remembered they were nurses, not doctors, and wouldn't know how to administer a tranquilizer. So, they turned and went back until the last two nurses also climbed in.

The four of them hastily pinned Shiller down and finally injected him with the medicine, by which time Shiller's agitated state had basically disappeared on its own.

He unsteadily walked to the side of the sickbed, paid no attention to Dr. Aviluo next to him, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

Awakening, Shiller found himself lying in the ward. He felt a bit of a headache, but he quickly realized this was a normal response during the recovery stage of over-excitement.

At that moment, a hand placed a cup of water in front of him. Shiller lifted his head and saw a chubby African-American nurse. Shiller attempted to get up but found himself strapped to the bed.

"Could you undo the strap on the left side for me, ma'am?"

Just as the African American nurse was about to open her mouth, Shiller said, "My preferred hand is my right, and my left doesn't have much strength. Plus, with the chest strap in place, I can't get up, and it's impossible to break free. All you need to do is raise the bed and let me have a sip of water."

The African American nurse seemed to be hearing this approach for the first time. After hesitating for a moment, she said, "We have a rule against casually undoing straps, but I can raise the bed for you, and I can help you drink the water, okay?"

Shiller nodded, saying nothing more.

As the bed was being raised, Shiller subconsciously glanced down and then saw his hand strapped in the restraint. He let out a deep sigh.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" the nurse asked.

"Nothing. I'm just thinking, the hospital has even made a rule forbidding the undoing of a single hand restraint, yet they never cut my fingernails in my seven years here. They could even get away with that in the Supreme Court."

The African American nurse looked puzzled.

"Don't look puzzled, ma'am. You're so good at listening, you might as well go be an audience for a talk show."

Shiller drank the water handed over by the African American nurse, then watched as she took out a tray for medication.

Shiller turned his head away.

"What's wrong?" the nurse once again expressed her confusion at his actions.

"Nothing. As long as I don't look, there won't be any problems with the prescription or the method of dispensing medication. It significantly increases lifespan."

The nurse handed over the meds. Shiller didn't even look. He dumped them into his mouth, took a big gulp of water, and swallowed the pills.

The nurse seemed somewhat shocked that he ate his medicine so readily. After Shiller finished taking his medication, he went back to sleep.

He slept deeply, resting well. When he was almost awake, he heard Dr. Aviluo's voice through the door, her words mentioning Bruce Wayne's name.

So, the first moment Shiller opened his eyes, he looked at Dr. Aviluo standing at the door. Before Dr. Aviluo could say anything, Shiller looked at her and asked, "Did you bring Batman over as well?"

"Yes, Dr. Shiller, actually he..."

Under the shocked gaze of the nurse, Shiller pulled one hand directly out of the restraint, quickly pulled the blanket over his head and said, "I'm not a doctor, I'm just a mental patient. I'm going back to sleep now, please leave."

"Having said that, he made no further movements, and soon a steady breathing sound came from under the blanket, showing that Shiller was completely asleep, leaving the doctor and nurse staring at each other in disbelief.

Meanwhile, in another room in the hospital, the lights were bright. The doctors on the other side had been swapped out several times, but the patient on the other side had not changed.

He had an extremely handsome face and was currently explaining to the doctor across from him in extremely clear logic, inflammatory words, and an endlessly energetic mental state, why he was not a mental patient.

Into deep slumber had fallen an older man who looked like his twin brother and a redheaded woman in two other rooms.

When the day lit up, Shiller, having had a good night's sleep, stretched languidly. His restraints had not been undone, but he was very good at making whatever movements he wanted under restraint.

The sound of a cart outside the door signaled to Shiller that the nurse was here with the meds again. Shiller yawned, turned his head and watched out the window.

It was the African American nurse from last night. As soon as she walked in, she greeted Shiller. Shiller didn't respond, so she asked, "What are you looking at?"

"Observing the scenery."

The nurse had nothing to say. She had Shiller drink some water again and told him, "The results of your last treatment will be out this afternoon. If there are no problems, you can have the restraints undone."

"Okay, I understand, thank you."

Shiller gulped down all the pills again, drank a few sips of water, and then closed his eyes to sleep.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Shiller squinted and saw standing by the door was Batman from the Prime Universe.

"Hello, nurse. My attending physician suggested that I clear my mind a bit more. Could I come in for a look?"

"You may, please..."

"No, do not come in, I'm about to go to sleep."
