Mephisto, who was lazing on the throne in Hell, looking through a new contract, suddenly jolted. He glanced left and right with suspicion when a nearby demon guard immediate turned to ask: "What's the matter, Your Majesty?"
"No, nothing. It's just that I sensed the Iron Demon God's aura. Hasn't it been a while since he last appeared?"
Mephisto furrowed his brows in confusion, saying, "Lately these member gifts have been a bit sparse. The demons pretty much have all been cleaned out. So what's the Iron Demon God up to? Has he found another target?"
Mephisto sprung from his throne, rubbing his hands after a quick survey, said, "If they think they could monopolize all the benefits, they are mistaken. Go, fetch those old pals of mine. Let's check this out together!"
"Yeah, and don't call Dormammu, he's gotten so fat he can't even walk properly, he should properly digest for a while."
Upon finishing, Mephisto's figure disappeared from Hell. The demon guards relayed the message, informing the previous friends of Mephisto, and they all rushed towards where the Iron Demon God was located.
Just as Mephisto arrived, he was flabbergasted. In front of him, a massive apparition of an Iron Demon God glared fiercely. On his left stood a glaring silver figure, behind him was an endless mechanical army, with planetary debris surrounding them.
The metallic cold light flickered like an Arctic ice field, illuminating the entire Universe Space. The colossal Iron Demon God resembled an ancient god descending at this place, its enormous physique stretching across the cosmos, and the glow in its eyes making even the stars seem dim.
The Ultimate Iron Man, leading the mechanical army, did not back down and faced the enormous apparition. Dressed in an Iron suit that flickered with blue electrical currents, he shone brilliantly like a star in the cosmos.
A pungent scent of burning filled the cosmos, accompanied by the sound of explosions and metal clashing. The two great forces collided, and the cosmos trembled. There was no raw, bloody roar, no deafening scream, only the sounds of gears interlocking, the rumble of boiling iron.
The cosmos sparkled with countless stars, like the eyes of numerous gods watching this battle. Amid the swirling nebula, even the bright erupting cloud streams flickered with threads of electrical pulses. At this moment, it seemed like the cosmos was under the control of machinery.
"Wait!" Mephisto exclaimed loudly, "What are you doing?"
Suddenly, several mechanical eyes turned to look at him. Choking on his words, Mephisto fell silent.
Observing Iron Man's intense battle, Mephisto, vexed, wondered what was happening. Being not much of a cosmic god who could watch the timeline, he started glancing about, hoping to spot some clues.
It wasn't that he was overly curious, rather, he had detected this wasn't a gift offering from The Sanctum, but a personal grudge of the Iron Demon God.
Nevertheless, it doesn't stop him from gathering evidence to leverage during negotiations with The Sanctum. With accusations of pocketing member gifts, there was a lot of room left for negotiations.
Mephisto despised Loki's cunning and Strange's dominance over contract terms. Not a single profit was increased, and seeing an opportunity now, he decided to record everything and have a word with those vampires.
Mephisto ignored the grand scene and suddenly spotted a familiar figure amidst the planetary debris.
"Shiller? Shiller???"
The Demon Gods knew that the entire member plan of The Sanctum was pulled off by a human doctor named Shiller. At first, they found Shiller to be gentle and considerate and thought he would be an easy negotiator. However, after witnessing Shiller making the cosmic law god cry for mercy, they prayed daily so that Shiller would not remember The Sanctum.
Yet among all the Demon Gods, Mephisto was sociable. He had a good relationship with Shiller and Nick, and occasionally colluded with Nick, assisting his Hydra soul reforge plan.
Upon seeing Shiller lying among a pile of small asteroids, Mephisto hastily approached. Transforming into a horned demon which is prevalent among humans, he flew to Shiller's side.
"What happened to you? Dr. Schiller, what are you doing here?"
Shiller looked no different, the Grey mist despised explosions and had come out to resist, saving Shiller from any injuries.
He coughed a bit, rubbed off annoying dust from his eyelashes, and slowly rose. Smiling at Mephisto, he said, "Sorry, I got carried away."
"What were you doing? Isn't the person fighting over there your friend? Aren't you going to stop him?"
"The problem is, everyone fighting over there is my friend." Shiller coughed again, covering his mouth, "They are all Iron Man, from different universes."
Mephisto gaped at him. He grabbed a piece of sizable asteroid debris and sat next to Shiller, looking at the distant spectacle while saying, "Iron men from other universes? What did you bring them here for? Why did they start fighting?"
"Oh, don't get me wrong; if you're busy, you can go. I was just a bit curious."
Shiller sniffled and sat down on the asteroid debris with his legs crossed. "I initially just wanted two of them to fight but unexpectedly brought two more here. Well, at least two of them are equals, so it wasn't entirely unexpected."
