Chapter 2686 - Chapter 1894: The Madman's Journey (70)_1

"I swear on my level of expertise, this is definitely not a biological virus." Pym's voice intermittently came from the intercom, saying, "I'm using the equipment to record data on this virus, you will soon understand what I mean."

About ten minutes later, Pym returned to human size, adjusting the equipment on his battlesuit, signaling to the two Spider Men and said, "Back to my universe, I will explain in the lab what this virus is all about."

Just as the two Spider Men were about to leave, the local Spider Man of this universe also caught up, and it was finally decided that this universe would also send Spider Man as a representative to other universes to figure out what this virus is all about.

The three Spider Men followed Dr. Pym and returned to the lab in Pym's old home, where Dr. Pym developed the Pym Particles and completed the armor that was supposed to be used for assassinating superheroes.

Pym transmitted the collected data into the computer for analysis, detection, and mapping. To more visually display the look and functionality of the virus, Pym made a holographic perspective diagram.

When the three-dimensional holographic image emerged from the center of the lab bench, the three Spider Men exclaimed in unison.

It was a standard dodecahedron, its prism consisting of mechanical tubes emitting a faint glow, in the center was constantly streaked with binary algorithms filled with 0s and 1s, and occasionally some scattered images passed, just like what the human eye sees.

Even without much professional knowledge, one could see that this thing was definitely man-made, and it was not a biological or chemical virus, but closer to mechanical engineering and microstructure, full of the beauty of mechanical design.

Pym cleared his throat and turned to look at the line of people waiting in front of the lab bench, apart from the three Spider Men, there were also the local Nick and Hope, and soon, Iron Man from this universe appeared at the door.

"Good Lord!" Exclaimed Stark as soon as he saw the holographic image, "Who made this? What does he want to do? Mechanize the whole earth?"

"Mr. Stark, do you recognize this thing?" one of the Spider Men asked anxiously.

"This is some kind of computational module," Stark said, stroking his chin and looking at the holographic image, "You can understand it like this, the power of a single computer is limited, so we network many computers to enhance the computational power, in order to solve some work that requires a large amount of computation."

"But as you know, Stark Group is a commerce company, and I can't use all the computers for my calculations, at least not openly, the board of directors would go crazy."

"Wait." Some Spider Man caught a hint and said together, "Not openly, meaning it can be done secretly?"

"It's not really secretly," Stark immediately raised his voice to retort, "I paid for all the computers in the company, what's wrong with using a bit of its running memory?"

"Oh my god, Mr. Stark, you wouldn't secretly invade all computers with this thing and let them provide you with computational support, would you? You sound like an evil super villain!" Spider Man screamed.

Stark waved his hand and said, "Of course I won't do that, mainly because Pepper would find out, do you have any idea how smart she is? So this thing is still just a blueprint in my hands."

"But I never thought that someone would actually make it." Stark touched his temples and sighed, "Well, there are two main reasons I didn't make it."

"One is that I don't need that much computation power, even for creating the Iron Armor, I can calculate a lot in my head, the computer is only used for running program codes."

"Secondly, it's a bit redundant, think about it, how much difference is there between Stark's supercomputer and an ordinary home computer? If I go through the trouble of creating this thing, the computation power it could steal is just a drop in the bucket, so it doesn't seem necessary, it remained just an idea."

"Wait." Another Spider Man spoke, "Have you tried turning it into a biological weapon?"

"What do you mean by a biological weapon?" Stark tightened the muscles around his eyes and said, "Bacteriological warfare or something? Stark Group hardly does biochemical research, we only produce firearms."

"Someone has compressed this computational module to nanoscale and turned it into a contagious virus, infecting almost the whole earth in three universes." Pym explained.

Stark drew a sharp breath.

His face instantly became serious and he stared at the holographic image in silence for a long time, the Spider Man who understood Stark more saw that the most brilliant mind in this universe was working at full capacity.

"It's not impossible," Stark concluded. Then he quickly walked to the other side of the lab bench, grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, and said while sketching, "The computational module I designed before is not purely an electronic virus, it is too easy to be detected and too easy to be cleared."

"You can understand my original design of the computational module as a kind of robot, except compared with viruses stored in USB drives, it has legs and can run, and physical invasion is more resistant."

"In my conception, the target of invasion is computers. If we switch the target to the human brain, the principle remains the same. However, due to the vulnerability of the human body, the smaller this thing is, the better."

"Therefore, developing a kind of nanobot to invade the brain becomes the most feasible plan."

"As we all know, the brain is the most intricate and mysterious organ of the human body. But in my view, the brain is nothing but a computer that operates in a slightly different way. Also, the utilization rate of their brains by ordinary people.... it's crap."

"Mr. Stark!" The three Spider Men exclaimed in unison.

Stark rolled his eyes, flipped his fingers, and said, "You guys can't just because I mentioned an obvious fact...Okay, boys, I'll phrase it differently. They have a lot of room to improve the utilization rate of their own brains. So, the parts that they are not using for the moment would be used as computer spare memory by nanobots."

"It's still the two questions I mentioned," Stark held up two fingers and continued, "Firstly, what exactly does the other party want to do that needs such large amounts of computation? It's not just the population of a region or a country, it's all the humans in three entire universes, even all intelligent lives."

"Their brains combined can provide an unimaginable amount of computation. But it seems that the other party still finds it insufficient. This is not the standard of mechanizing the Earth, this is the standard of mechanizing the entire universe."

"Also, this computing module does bear a strong resemblance to my previous blueprint. If it's just for invading computers, I can make it. But I do not have the biological invasion technology to match it."

Stark sighed yet spoke realistically: "If we have to say that there is a weakness in Stark Group, it is that we don't specialize in biology and chemistry. The group's development plan does mention setting up a biochemistry lab, but it's hard to find a scientist who can support a whole discipline like me."

Suddenly, one of the Spider Men stood up and said, "I remember that the Osborn Group is pretty good at biochemistry, isn't it?"

Stark said nothing but grimaced. Everyone looked at Nick, who was already dialing on his phone, saying as he exited, "…Contact Mr. Osborn. Tell him S.H.I.E.L.D. needs his cooperation on a work assignment."

When old Osborn was brought in, his face was grave. The observant Nick immediately sensed something was wrong. He knocked on the table next to Old Osborn, saying, "Mr. Osborn, I believe our agent has already emphasized the importance of this issue to you. The destruction that these nanoviruses can cause is obvious. If there is any information that you know but don't disclose, S.H.I.E.L.D. has the right to hold you responsible."

Old Osborn's face displayed a mix of shock and doubt. He glanced back at Stark and the three Spider Men, gently touched the watch on his wrist, and said, "Well, I understand I can't hide anything from you. But what I'm about to say is a secret of the Osborn Group, if it is known by any law enforcement agency other than you all, I also have the right to hold you responsible."

"No one cares about your group's shit." Stark interrupted impatiently, "Just get on with it."

"Not long ago, the Osborn Group captured an alien life form." Old Osborn made a shocking statement.

All eyes widened.

"I conducted preliminary research on it and found it to be a quite peculiar particle life form. They don't have a fixed body structure like humans. The particles that form them are constantly changing. My preliminary deduction is that they are a form of parasitic life."

Old Osborn turned back around, looked at the holographic projection, and said, "The structural residue on the outer layer of this thing reminds me of the factors I saw on them. It's here, these spiral-distributed patterns..."

Everyone huddled closer for a look, and only then did they spot some minute, disordered patterns on the outer side of the dodecahedron, completely different from the overall mechanical architecture, clearly organic arrangements.

"Where is the alien life form you got?" Stark asked.

Old Osborn immediately showed a guarded expression, but a shadow flashed behind him the next second. With a "pang", Nick knocked him out, propping up the fallen Old Osborn and saying, "The CEO of the Osborn Group was attacked by an alien life form. S.H.I.E.L.D. arrived just in time to save him. Due to the special nature of the attack, he was sent to the S.H.I.E.L.D. hospital for observation."

"I'm tasking a special investigation team to go to the Osborn Group's office to investigate and capture the dangerous alien life. Go! We can't let the evil alien species harm more people."

The three Spider Men and Iron Man left without delay. When they arrived at the entrance of the Osborn Group, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were already setting up the barricade. A group of well-placed reporters continuously snapped pictures from distant positions.

Seeing this scene, the superheroes in suits opted for the window. Iron Man boldly burst straight into the office of the Osborn Group. When all the people were wondering if the alien life form was hard to deal with, the other two Spider Men sneaked in from the back of the building.

On their way to the lab, the Spider Man from the Central Universe said, "I know what alien life form the Osborn Group has captured. We call them symbionts. They belong to the God Tali Race living on the Klinter Star in our universe. Their home planet is in dire straits, they have already chosen to coexist with human civilization."

"Are you saying they are an intelligent life form?"

"Yes, so let me talk to them later… Venom! Venom! I've come to get you! Is Wade alright?!"
