Chapter 2494 - Chapter 1734: S: The Major Apocalypse Event (Part 1) _2

This sky fortress was not flying high, probably floating only about the height of five or six floors, if Gotham's skyline had not been bombed into rubble, Harley, who has just returned to this universe, might not be able to see it.

However, what was to be done next was not as simple; the power associated with activating the gold property was not to be trivialized, so the structure clearly wasn't safe. The next step for the Robins was to expand Sky Island as much as possible, eliminate the overly tall buildings, and construct a truly solid fortress.

The difficulty lessened, mainly because they could now utilize the high-tech devices in the Batcave, including but not limited to the Bat Motorcycle that can fly in the sky, the Bat UFO that can hover for long periods, and the Bat Cutter that can be directly controlled by brainwaves for aerial cuts...

When these devices were taken out from the Batcave and put into use, the Marvel scientists on the other side of the screen fell silent.

"What the hell?!" Stark was the first to complain loudly, "I didn't even put my logo on all the devices for the Solar System development plan!"

"So there are narcissists even more megalomaniac than you in this world?!" Reed was shocked as well, staring at Stark, he said, "You didn't even think about it, and he's already put it into practice. Stark, you've lost this round!"

"Is this a commercial copyright claim? Or is it just an overblown brand identity?" Bruce Banner rubbed his hair, puzzled, "If I'm not mistaken, even the crevices of the vacuum cleaner blades are engraved with two bats…"

Nick had a dumbfounded look in his eyes, then after a while, his eyes lit up and he said to Natasha and Coulson, "Quick, get the team together, fly the spaceship to the Solar System... oh no, to the Milky Way, and engrave Earth's logo on all visible stars!! Don't miss a single asteroid!! Hurry up!!!"

Then he stepped forward with a sincere expression, took Wanda's hand and said, "You must have a good chat with Miss Harley Quinn, I must meet this Batman, his way of assertively claiming ownership of everything is worth learning from for the entire human civilization..."

The Robins on the screen saw nothing unusual, they had become accustomed to the omnipresence of bat symbols in their lives. Soon they, under the guidance of cosmic architects and structural researchers from the other universe, completed the renovation of the sky fortress.

Now, the sky fortress really had the look of a fortress. Although the interior was still completely empty, it at least resembled a real floating island.

However, as the materials kept piling up and the gravity kept increasing, the entire Sky Island had descended by five or six meters, and it was clear that the anti-gravitational properties generated by the original electrical discharge device were insufficient.

Subsequently, the Robins began to carefully etch the magic runes in designated positions. Constantine flew in the middle of Sky Island on a Bat UFO, overlooking their work to ensure the precision of the copy.

However, because it was their first time doing such work, both universes' teams overlooked a crucial issue - that is, the conveyance of visual information from the human eye to the brain, from that brain to another brain, and from the second brain to the screen. The problem lied between the two brains.

It is well known that the brain will fill in what it can't see to a certain extent, and it will ignore what it has become used to and isn't a hindrance. The brain works the same way when judging size. The actual size of an object might be larger or smaller than what the brain determines - this is a manifestation of the brain's blur algorithm.

When Harley saw the Sky fortress, she made a judgment, transferred the information to Wanda, who then made another judgment. After the two blur algorithms, it was hard for the image on the screen to be academically accurate.

As a result of this, both parties misjudged the volume of the Sky Fortress and the amount of magic energy needed to activate the gold property, leading to a serious consequence - the absent-minded Constantine, who didn't pay careful attention, following the demand of the opposite party to inject the excessive energy, and the sky fortress, well, it skyrocketed.

Activating the anti-gravitational property was indeed the goal, but it didn't mean they intended to send a mass of iron that totally didn't meet the standards of aerodynamics and space dynamics to geosynchronous orbit.

When the sky fortress rocketed up and out, everyone was taken aback.

Once again, it was confirmed that no matter how good the intention or how perfect the plan, the Gothamites always managed to screw it up.

"Oh my God!" Jason was amazed as he looked out the window. He saw his beautiful blue planet right beneath his feet. Tim swallowed, reached out his hand and touched his neck. He then asked in confusion, "Wait, if we have left the atmosphere, then how come we haven't got choked to death?"

"Something's not right." Red Robin walked to the window. He looked at the view outside, but his attention was not on the far-away Earth, but rather on the Sky Island itself. He pointed downwards, "Have you noticed that there's a certain force field being activated?"

The Robins rushed out of the building, onto the ground of Sky Island, and while looking upwards, they said, "It seems like we have activated a protective shield that is keeping us safe in space."

Meanwhile, the scientists from the other universe watching from the screen had exploded into uproar, the Grand Mages banged their tables and shouted.

"We've said it before that this is another version of the Magic Defense Network! They just failed to correctly utilize this power and didn't activate it with the correct method. Now it's unleashed!"

Like the Grand Mages said, at this point, an ever-changing dark protective shield was formed above the Sky Fortress. If one took a closer look, they would notice that there was a subtle link between the massive Gotham metal below Sky Island and the protective shield - the shield was a projection of the power within the metal.

Constantine was somewhat stunned as he looked skyward, "I didn't expect it to take this form, it's not any of the known forces in the Earth's mystic world, it looks more like a more primal darkness…"

All of a sudden, several Robins froze as well, then almost simultaneously opened their mouths, interrupted each other, and finally it was Jason who got the chance to speak. He swallowed and slowly said,

"Does this mean that the whole of Gotham also..."
