Chapter 2471 - Chapter 1715 Bruce Wayne and the Secret Room (Part 12)_2

"I am not planning to return it either." Harley bounced up from the steps, a storm began brewing in her eyes, blue as crystal. The manifestation of the Chaotic Power within her body was a stark contrast to the power Wanda wielded. It was like the enduring storm that hovered above the Himalayan Mountains for countless years.

She looked down at her hand and said, "I feel... full of power."

"Wait, what are you holding in your hand? A new model of a magic wand?" Xeseon asked, somewhat puzzled.

Harley watched as the icy blue Chaotic Power flowed from her palm, gradually covering the blade of the boning knife until it became completely transparent, floating from her hand.

"Yes... this is my magic wand, the latest model."

Dreams—a blurry dream that little Bruce couldn't comprehend.

In the dream, he became a bird with golden feathers, pecking away at a tall sweet chestnut tree. In his peripheral vision, he saw a meteor falling in Egypt.

Everything seemed disjointed. Little Bruce's sensibility told him that in the world no golden feather bird exists, he should be a bat. Sweet chestnut trees mostly grow in Europe, and a common bird's beak can't penetrate the tree bark. Most importantly, there were no reports of meteor fallings in Egypt.

The dream turned endlessly, little Bruce heard the "click-clack" noise which he soon realized was getting closer. Then he woke up within his dream, seeing a towering shadow standing by his bed.

The figure was impressively tall, his head touching the ceiling. He wore an elegant robe in a style unknown to little Bruce, with a massive crown on his head. Yet, instead of the dignified nobility of a royal family, it radiated a terrifying authority.

"Who are you?" little Bruce found himself unable to move, so he asked.

"I bring you the message of the stars. Respond to his call, he will grant you truth and power."

With a "whoosh", little Bruce sat up on the bed. Turning his head, he saw no massive shadow, Barry was sound asleep on the far side of the room.

He knew the reason for his fatigue in the past few days. He might have been having this dream every night, and simply didn't remember it after waking up.

But no Bruce Wayne is an ordinary person. The first thing that came to little Bruce's mind after such a bizarre nightmare was that he had wasted at least two hours of discussion about the Ark Reactor with Stark.

Such practical damn reasons. If he must respond to something to gain knowledge, he would rather discuss with a genius scientist, rather than hoping for some nebulous blessing.

But in the classroom of the Dreamworld school, Stark noticed little Bruce's poor condition. After a brief inquiry, little Bruce mentioned a few annoying things somewhat irritably. Stark's eyes widened and said,

"Didn't you notice you might have been chosen by a Demon God?"

"I... How did you see that?"

"He's been calling you for days now, and you haven't responded once."

"Do I have to?" little Bruce seemed somewhat repelled.

"Of course not, he can't harass you endlessly. If you clearly indicate refusal and he still sends you dreams, Kamar-Taj will deal with him. But you haven't rejected him at all."

"Yes, I didn't respond. You can't expect me... I told you, I am an outsider. I have no concept of this, I do not trust them."

"Within a certain set of rules, they are safe." Stark shrugged and said, "Although I also dislike all these vague and fuzzy stuff, but since you are learning magic, you can't always be without magic power, right?"

"Also, you don't have any energy at all, making it hard for me to discuss certain things with you," Stark said, looking down at his own experimental chart. "Take this energy hub section, for example, it involves some knowledge of energy conversion. Without personal experience, it would be hard to explain."

"Should I respond to him?" little Bruce seemed hesitant.

"In my opinion, you don't seem to have any talent for magic." Stark continued with his annoying arrogance, "Your talent is not in this area, it's already good enough that someone is interested in you."

When little Bruce woke up again, he found Barry standing by the bedside looking at him worriedly. Barry pursed his lips and said hesitantly, "I know this might sound rude, but I have to tell you, you look as shitty as a pile of dog poop."

Without him saying, little Bruce had already seen his face in the reflection of the wardrobe door. He took a deep breath, shook his head and said, "A Demon God contacted me, and it seems like a very normal thing in their cosmos. I'm considering whether to respond."

Barry immediately widened his eyes. He was about to persuade Bruce but little Bruce waved his hand and said, "This Earth has a magical defense network, they can't do anything. If I agree, then I will have magic to use, maybe it is not a bad idea to try?"

Barry turned his head and looked out the window, it was still pitch black. Little Bruce seemed to have made up his mind, he laid back down on the bed, closed his eyes, and quickly fell back into a dream.

The sound of bells, drums, and distant ballads constantly echoed in his ears. He dreamed of a god in the far north bidding farewell to a giant bird. Little Bruce heard a distant flute sound coming from behind a towering figure standing on the icefield.

He was almost able to see the figure's face, but soon a script floated in front of him, containing numerous terrifying, mad, and unacceptable knowledge for humans.

Little Bruce accepted it.

Batman is no ordinary man. He bravely glanced at the forbidden knowledge on the script before screaming out of his dream. He was sure that even the huge figure in his dream was shocked at the last moment.

With a "bang", the door of the room was kicked open.

Little Bruce and Barry turned their heads at the same time and saw a figure with glowing blue eyes, resembling eerie ghost flames, standing outside the door.

Harley stared at little Bruce, or rather, a curious smile appeared on her face as she stared at the empty space behind him and said, "Caught you."

But suddenly, the strange image in her spiritual vision disappeared and Harley woke up abruptly.

Then, her abundant spiritual inspiration from her natural talent combined with the power brewing within her soul gave her a divine intuition.

"Xeseon! Xeseon!" Harley started to shout like crazy.

"What's that?"

Xeseon was puzzled.

"Behind me!"

Xeseon began to fear.

"No, Harley, you can't..."

"Useless!"

Harley turned around.

Standing behind her was Jennifer Maw—now the towering figure in the far north, the dark shadow wearing a magnificent robe with a crown, the golden bird, and the meteorite in Egypt.

"Pray you never meet my other thousand faces, goodbye, Bruce Wayne. You must be careful, for I am the Chaos that lurks in the shadows. I... am Nyarlathotep."
