Chapter 210 - Chapter 133 R: Great Bat Incident (15)_2

"However, there isn't enough time this time. I only have one day and I won't even be able to run tests. Therefore, I've compromised and used my handmade design to create these robots," Stark said.

Stark landed and tapped on one of the robot's arm saying, "I won't mention functions like carrying goods and building defenses. More importantly, they are armed with incendiary grenades and flamethrowers. I've designed a signal sending button on everyone's night vision devices. Just press it and it signifies that there's an injured vampire that can be burned. The robots will then quickly arrive on the battlefield and burn them to ashes with the flamethrower."

"Their flamethrower system is automatically controlled, ensuring that the flames won't spread, which is much better than man-operated ones."

"What's even more important is their method of movement."

With that, the mecha beside Stark rotated and shrunk its mechanical arm, retracting it into their hexagonal body, forming a nut-like shape, and then the mecha began to float.

"So far, I haven't seen any abilities from the vampires that interfere with magnetism, therefore, these robots can use the magnetic levitation system for very fast movement," Stark said as he looked up at it.

"Once they've moved above the wounded soldiers, mechanical arms at the bottom will pull up the wounded, wrap them into the mecha, and fly them back."

"There are some emergency measures in the mecha, as well as some cure serum. You know, the ones Connors researched, though the amount isn't much, it's not enough, but at least it can ensure that severely wounded soldiers can live until they reach the hospital."

"That's already very good," Steve moved closer, eyeing the hexagonal nut floating on air. "Wars always have casualties, it's just a matter of how many. But it's always good to save one more life."

"Are you going to remind me about your glorious days on the battlefield again?"

Steve shrugged, "Let's not, since you did a good job this time, I won't nag."

"So, you did it on purpose before!" Stark exclaimed in anger.

"I used this trick on your father back then, but you've made some progress, at least you can put up with it for over 5 minutes," replied Steve extending his hands.

By the time Peter arrived, Stark was gripping Steve's collar. Peter hurriedly rushed over and separated them. Stark brushed off his arm, and then turned to Peter, "What happened to your battlesuit? Why did it turn so dark?"

Peter shook his head. Seeing his distracted state, Stark asked, "Hey, kiddo, what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

"I don't know," Peter said in pain, "My heart is racing and my spider-sense has been constantly ringing. But I can't find the source of the danger. I'm feeling very terrible right now."

Upon seeing that Peter wasn't joking, Stark approached him, patted his shoulder and said, "I think you need to rest."

"You're still underage and have been fighting for over 20 hours. This isn't good," Steve added.

Peter seemed a little irritated. He said, "Don't worry about me. I know what I need to do. I want to stay here and eradicate all those annoying monsters."

"Your mental state seems off…" Stark tried to continue, but was cut off by Steve.

Peter sat down leaning against a tire, Steve squatted and looked into his eyes, "Of course, we don't want to interfere, but as your elder, or rather, I'm sure I'm your elder, I'm worried about you, Peter…"

"If you think you can hold out, then stay, but in reality, you've done more than enough, you've been brave."

Peter frowned and closed his eyes, "Sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me, I just feel extremely irritated, and restless…"

"Dr. Shiller will come over later, you can talk to him, perhaps a psychologist has a way to deal with these symptoms."

"Dr. Shiller is coming here? Why? This is a battlefield! He could be in danger!"

Stark and Steve exchanged glances. They realized that the naïve Peter truly believed Shiller had no special powers and was just an ordinary person who needed protection.

By the time it was about to get dark, the three lines of defense had been fully set up. With the help of Stark's special logistical robots, the battleline was quickly and solidly established, and the situation was better than expected.

An estate in the back was set up as the temporary command center. Shiller sat on the second floor, with Peter sitting across him," I really don't feel well, Doctor. I keep feeling that something dangerous is about to happen, but I can't find the source…"

"Is it your spider-sense that's warning you?"

"Yes, it's hard for me to explain this feeling to you. Usually, my spider-sense would show me images of the source of danger, even allow me to take automatic actions."

"But now, I can't see anything. When I concentrate, I can't find any danger, but it keeps buzzing…"

"Because you've always treated it as a passive ability. Have you ever thought that you can actually control it actively?"

"Control it actively? I've tried that before, but no matter how much I concentrate, nothing happens."

"That's because you haven't encountered any dangerous stimuli. This temporary state can't be maintained. But now is a perfect opportunity. Since your spider-sense is always active, you can try to control it."

With that, Peter closed his eyes and tried his best to focus. But his spider-sense was like a constantly plucked string, disrupting his thoughts and scattering his attention.

Then, Venom spoke, "Clear your mind, I think I can help."

Peter cleared his mind of thoughts and soon, he saw a black mass spreading in his consciousness, and a picture flashed by quickly.

Shiller watched as Peter jumped up from the chair, "I saw…"

"Calm down, Peter, what did you see?"

With a shocked expression, Peter said to Shiller, "I saw Mr. Stark falling from a high building... He wasn't wearing his mecha, and then he fell to the ground…"

Peter's eyes were red, almost tears-filled, "I saw... He died," he said in a choking voice.
