Chapter 2091 - Chapter 1407: Return of the Old Days (6)_3

"And now, he has awakened and perceived some truths from his own memories, but we still cannot confirm where he comes from. So, I plan to find Nal first and ask him."

"The word 'ask' isn't quite accurate then, is it?" Eddie squinted his eyes, feeling an intense hunger radiating from the venom within him.

"Yes, it's ask first, then devour."

Not long after, in the vast and dark Universe Space, two figures - one dark, one gray - appeared. The black creature hovered in space, as if it dissolved into the boundless darkness, while the gray mist was exceptionally striking.

Without saying much, Venom couldn't wait and plunged directly onto the sole star in the Dark Space. Its inner appetite for violence and the instinct from absorption urged it to impatiently murder its creator and completely merge with it.

Nal was already badly weakened. Shiller confirmed that Stark and Batman could not have simply left him here without doing anything. The outcomes of falling into the hands of these two scientific monstrosities need not be said.

Nal's scream only lasted a brief moment. Shiller didn't need his power; Venom devoured what it could of Nal, yet a large part remained. When the gray mist passed, Shiller asked it, "Do you feel sad about devouring your creator?"

"He is not my creator, you are."

Soon after, the gray mist covered the planet. Shiller was unsure what Stark and Batman did to Nal, but he was entirely unable to resist. After the last bit of his strength and memory were devoured, he thoroughly returned to the rules of the cosmic chaos.

Nal didn't die. Such an existence, which represented part of the rules, wouldn't completely die. The Realm of Death held no place for him; he could only sleep, perhaps existing as the oldest creature when the cosmos is destroyed and reborn.

When the gray mist swallowed the last piece of the Memory Fragments, on top of the High Tower, it stood with Shiller, staring at the projection of Nal's memory.

They glimpsed a black figure imprisoned in Klinter Star, looked towards the starry sky in its endless loneliness and silence, and heard the summoning of the stars.

Its instinct sniffed the secrets buried within the depths of the stars, so it responded to the star's summons, stretching its arms out to embrace the limitless cosmos.

However, as the past didn't descend onto it, it perceived a fog, elusive and ethereal, drifting past its fingertips. It latched onto the trail of fog, coaxing even more fog to coalesce.

In the real world, an infinite surge of gray mist emerged from Shiller, forcing Venom to withdraw, for it could sense a certain terrifying yet magnificent majesty descending.

The mist fluttering out from Shiller was much more than ever before and denser. They formed an inexhaustible mass of gray mist.

As the fog gradually dispersed, a bright starry sky unfolded before Shiller — he heard the allure of the stars.

It sounded like the cry of a newborn, resounding full of life. It piqued intrigue and joy, a clear comprehension of the world just as one steps out of the cradle.

Shiller stared, fascinated and focused at the starry sky, specifically a magnificent and mysterious portion of the stars. He was not lost in the dark or gone mad. None of the terrible murmurings affected him.

Shiller slowly stretched out his hand, responding to the stars' call and even attempting to reach out and touch them, but the stars did not respond.

Only a thick gray mist reached out a tendril, touching the gray ring on Shiller's finger.

Under the pact formed with the gray mist, they confronted the truth together. Staring at the infinite starry sky, Shiller whispered Its true name —

"The Nameless Fog…"
