"Earlier today, JARVIS received a communication from Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. They wanted us both to come over. I found it strange at that time, those students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters never really liked me and Pietro."
Wanda rolled her eyes slightly, then sighed, saying, "I can understand, though. Wherever I show up, Magneto might appear. Nobody likes to see his grumpy face, except of course for Professor Charles. I still can't figure out how they became friends."
Shiller poured another glass of water for Wanda and asked, "So, did you go along with JARVIS?"
Wanda nodded and continued, "I thought they had some important issues, such as wanting to inquire about the development of the Andromeda galaxy or something. Their past requests for my presence were generally about such issues."
"But to my surprise, I was received by Phoenix Jean Grey and Shadow Cat Kitty, and Wolverine Logan, and Laser Eye Scott. I wasn't very familiar with these mutants, and the first topic they brought up in our conversation was actually Professor Charles's romantic history..."
As Wanda narrated, the scene at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters earlier today slowly unfolded before Shiller's eyes.
With a "squeak," the office door opened. Wanda had just stepped in when she stopped in her tracks. The two men and two women in the room looked at her in synchrony. For a moment, Wanda couldn't remember their code names.
"Uh, good afternoon, everyone. Where are the professors?"
"Good afternoon, Miss Wanda." Jean Grey was the first to speak. She walked up to Wanda's side, but Wanda seemed uncomfortable with her up close. She took a step back and immediately realized her action might seem rude.
At this moment, JARVIS waded in to break the ice, saying, "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Who was the one who just called me?"
"Oh, it was me, Shadow Cat." Kitty wiggled the cell phone in her hand and said, "I knew you must be with Miss Wanda."
After saying that, she sported a teasing smile, and the atmosphere suddenly lightened. Wanda also heaved a sigh of relief. She was afraid these people had called her to avenge their beatings from Magneto.
"What did you summon me for?" Wanda asked, her voice slightly unnatural. But the others weren't any more relaxed. They looked at one another, and it was Wolverine Logan who finally said, "Miss Wanda, how much do you know about your father's relationship with Professor Charles in the past?"
"Nothing at all, and I don't want to. " Wanda shook her head rigorously. She had thought they wanted to hash out the past with her, so she quickly replied, "I don't know what Erik has done, but anything he did has nothing to do with me. I may not have even been born then. If you want to take revenge, you need to find him."
"You misunderstood. We didn't mean that, Miss Wanda." Scott stepped in to diffuse the tension. He led Wanda and JARVIS to the sofas in the office's visitor area. They all sat down before Scott began, "A few days ago, the professor visited the Andromeda galaxy. Of course, he often goes there to catch up with his old friend, Magneto. We couldn't possibly stop him."
"However, we were shocked when he said he was going on a business trip to an alien planet after he returned from his visit. We asked him where he was going, but he didn't say. It was only after school that Shadow Cat Kitty found the invitation to the Asgard wedding feast on his office desk."
"Is the professor attending the Divine King's wedding?" Wanda asked, and then again after a moment of thought, "That seems normal. Mutants qualify as an independent force to partake in the Asgard celebrations."
"We knew that, of course. But the professor has always been low-key. Magneto is more famous in Asgard, so it's understandable that the invitation would be sent to him. It's just unusual for the professor to actually want to go."
"Recently, SWORD contacted the professor, intending to collaborate with him on the Dreamland School project. The teachers and students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters have been quite busy lately. As you possibly know, the professor is a very responsible person. He won't take leave for irrelevant matters."
After Scott finished, Logan, with his arms crossed, said in a slightly reminiscent tone, "Kitty told Jean about this, and that's when Jean and I remembered something very important... Have you ever heard about Professor Charles's love story?"
Wanda opened her mouth wide, staring at Logan in disbelief. Jean Grey tugged Logan's arm as a sign for him to not be so blunt. She turned to Wanda, gave an apologetic smile and said, "Oh, I thought Erik would've told you about their past."
"What does it have to do with Professor Charles's love history?" Wanda cried out, perplexed.
"Well, Wanda..." Kitty leaned slightly forward, her body tilting towards Wanda, and looking into her eyes, she said, "You might think of the current professor as steady and gentle, but he had his fair share of romantic escapades in his youth. At that time, your father, on the other hand, was... more focused on his work."
