Chapter 2023 - Chapter 1365: The Mysterious Feast (Part 15)_1

"Since you are a staff member of The Sanctum, you must have heard that the foundation of the Shi'ar Empire is 'fusion'."

"Not only do they fuse other races, merge their strength and beliefs, but they also want to create a kind of fused 'ultimate cosmic life'. For this, they have conducted countless evil experiments, and the eventual products of those experiments all went insane."

"But the Shi'ar Empire is unwilling to give up. They believe that this fusion project will ultimately succeed. As for the initial failed results, they are not complete failures; they can still be utilized. If they cannot be fused in the laboratory, they can be let loose to carnage each other, allowing their power and blood to blend."

"Thus, they threw these failed experimental subjects into the Half-World Insane Asylum, and I, am a victim of this plan."

"The reason Yondu is pursuing me is because of the underlying protocol I inscribed into my body when I lacked the knowledge to act cautiously. I didn't anticipate that the Shi'ar Empire had set an alarm in the underlying protocol."

"After all the robots that had awakened their self-awareness and escaped were eliminated, I became the only subject who holds this underlying protocol. The Shi'ar Empire knows this too, which might be why they want to eliminate me."

Rocket Raccoon lowered his head. Shiller never thought he would see such a complicated expression on the face of a raccoon. He reached out and patted Rocket Raccoon's head, saying, "I understand what you are saying. The story is quite interesting, but have you noticed some doubts?"

Rocket Raccoon lifted his eyes when Shiller moved his chair forward a bit, put his hands on the table, spread out his medical records, and said, "The most suspicious part is, would you leave your own name at the scene when you are doing bad things?"

"You inherited an underlying protocol from a security robot, and then conveniently discovered the entire plan and the Shi'ar Empire's signature in this protocol. Do you think the Shi'ar Empire would be that stupid?"

Rocket Raccoon opened his mouth, but didn't show any surprised expressions. He sighed and said, "If you have been in the cosmos for a long time, and have seen many different civilizations, you will know that the universe is not full of diversity, but rather, a meeting of fools."

"Many civilizations have been able to survive till today not due to their strength, but pure luck. On the other hand, capable civilizations can potentially face extinction overnight due to a natural disaster, just because of bad luck."

Rocket Raccoon crossed his arms, turned his head to the side and said, "If you had truly delved into the heartlands of the Three Great Empires, you would see that they are not much stronger than other civilizations."

"The developmental journey of an intelligent lifeform is simply a combination of coincidences. They just happened to have more coincidences, which is why they are stronger. But when it comes to capability... everyone is on the same level."

"I agree with you on this point." Schiller nodded, then changed his tone: "However, what I'm saying is, this is a mediocre framing act. After committing a crime, they pin it on others, purposely leave some survivors to scatter across the universe, and make a big fuss about hunting them down. Once everyone starts talking about it, the smearing would have achieved its purpose."

Rocket Raccoon frowned, "So you're suggesting, from the beginning, someone else was framing the Shi'ar Empire? Perhaps it's possible... No, wait, that's impossible."

Rocket Raccoon said with certainty, "The initial group of uncontrollable lunatics admitted to the insane asylum were not the products of scientific experimentation. They had strong traces of magic."

"To my knowledge, the Kree Empire and Skrull Empire do not delve deeply into mystic studies. However, the royal family and nobles of the Shi'ar Empire all possess Divine Power. The magic traces left on those lunatics by the soul bear resemblance to what they could generate and does not seem like it has been faked."

"I didn't say that the Shi'ar Empire was completely innocent." Shiller also turned his head to look at Rocket, "Perhaps those lunatics with magic traces were the ones they admitted, but what about the robots?"

"Don't you think such behavior is contradictory? If they were conducting magic experiments before, then why incorporate another project into this experiment — to create a group of robots to care for the patients? If these robots had always been there, why didn't they just put them in from the start?"

Upon hearing Shiller's words, Rocket Raccoon fell into deep thought, but Shiller had already deduced the rough process of the entire affair.

"Perhaps, the Shi'ar Empire did have a plan and they brought individuals from various races across the cosmos to perform experiments on, driving them insane and tossing them into an insane asylum."

"They might have wanted to recycle waste but in the end, were exposed to their competitors, possibly the other two of the Three Great Empires, who discovered their plan and the insane asylum."

"They sent even more crazed robots into the insane asylum and wrote down the Shi'ar Empire's plan and their signature in the underlying protocol of these robots, letting them force the lunatics to kill each other."

"And the so-called event of robots awakening their self-awareness due to stellar explosion radiation, was merely a part of the plan. They gave the robots self-awareness, even a sense of morality, making them unwilling to continue this path, thus inciting them to rebel, to escape the planet, exposing the cruel deeds of the Shi'ar Empire."
