Chapter 2017 - Chapter 1361: The Feast's Mystery (Part 11)_1

"After humans gradually stepped onto the interstellar stage, The Sanctum has gained more information channels. We have thought about referencing the development path of teleportation technology in other civilizations, seeing if we can incorporate their strengths to enhance the large-scale teleportation technology at Kamar-Taj."

Shiller blinked, thinking before he said,"I think teleportation technology would be crucial for any civilization. Would they trade such technology with us easily?"

"Of course not, but there are other ways." Strange glanced around and saw that there was no one nearby. Although there were many guests, they were scattered over three floors and weren't crowded.

Strange lowered his voice and added, "Just like on Earth, many contraband items are advertised as unobtainable, but as long as you have money and connections, you can still manage to get hold of them."

"You mean... the black market?" Shiller instantly understood.

Strange nodded and said, "Of course, there is a black market in interstellar society. Any orderly society needs an outlet for chaos, and within the jurisdiction of the Three Great Empires, this outlet is located in Centaurus."

Strange stretched out a hand and drew a pattern on the back of the chair in front of him. He explained, "Look, this is the Ring Region, the political and cultural center of the Three Great Empires, and this is Centaurus... See? They are diagonally distributed and observe each other from afar, and it's definitely a result deliberately guided by the Three Great Empires."

"They understand that it's better to dredge than to block. Even highly authoritarian military states cannot completely rid of crime. Even though the Supreme Wisdom controls almost every primary ethnic member of the Kree race, the vastness of their territory and population will inevitably give rise to crime."

"So rather than trying to eliminate all crime, it's better to lure these chaos-causing people to distant places. As long as it doesn't affect the core area, there is absolutely nothing wrong."

Shiller nodded, of course, he understood what Strange meant. To be honest, it's the same on Earth. The many "no-man's lands", are they really beyond the capability of these countries to control? Probably not.

Firstly, it is not cost-effective to mobilize human and material resources for sweeping cleanups. Secondly, once extreme danger elements commit crimes, knowing that there is a place to escape might make them run after committing a crime. But what if they had nowhere to run? Won't they cause a huge disturbance if they resist desperately at home?

Therefore, the common measure taken by most orderly societies to deal with such people is: as long as you don't mess around within society and willingly give up your social identity to run away, then official institutions won't make a big deal out of a small problem.

It seems that Centaurus is such a place. Shiller thought to himself, it's part of the Cosmic Golden Triangle.

"So, did you get any technology there?" Shiller asked with some curiosity.

But Strange just gave a mysterious smile and shook his head. "We didn't get any useful technology, but we made some other discoveries."

"What is it?" Shiller turned his body, leaning forward in a listening posture, but Strange just laughed and shook his head. "You will know when the time comes."

At this point, Strange changed the topic, continuing:

"Besides The Sanctum, the mages of Kamar-Taj have also been actively strengthening exchanges with other deity systems."

"Not only deity systems originating from Earth have gone out but also several existing potent deities in the cosmos. They differ from Eternity or Death, who are pure embodiments of cosmic rules, but they're not completely energy-constituted 'Demon Gods' either, you could say they are a combination of both."

Hearing Strange's words, Shiller recalled what Thanos had previously mentioned: after the leader of the Eternals Family blew up his home, he abandoned his physical form, merged with some cosmic rules, and became the embodiment of time.

Shiller did not have a deep impression of this character, just vaguely remembering that he seemed to be no match for Thanos. If this character was of any use, Thanos would not have been able to destroy Titan Planet. Listening to Strange, there were quite a number of such existences in the cosmos.

"These so-called gods, unlike Demon Gods, are not vulnerable. They live as long as the cosmos, and hence can exist for a very long time. They all could be potential quality clients in the future, so our mages pay special attention to them," Strange swirled his drink, took a sip, and then said.

"Furthermore, we have also collected a lot of information about the cosmic deity systems, mainly provided by our clients."

"Although we didn't buy any teleportation technology, we indeed found some related information... You should know about the large teleportation gate of the Shi'ar Empire, right?"

Shiller nodded his head and said, "It's too famous; it would be hard not to know about it."

"The Shi'ar Empire is very special." Strange held up a finger. He put his wine glass on the table beside him, changed his posture, and began talking seriously, "As I mentioned earlier, the teleportation technology of the Kree Empire and Skrull Empire evolved from the technology side, but the Shi'ar Empire is similar to humans, their large teleportation gates aren't solely the outcome of technology."

"You can tell from the state of the main empire, the Fierce Feather Tribe. Most of the Kree People and Skrull People have undergone some form of mechanization modification. Even if they didn't touch their physical bodies, they generally wear mechanical armor and carry firearms. "

"But the Fierce Feather Tribe, especially the Royal Family and nobles of the tribe, hardly ever don bulky armor. Even going into battle, at most, they would wear a thin, decorative layer of armor. This is due to them being a Magic Race with a magic shield, and hence, they do not need heavy armor for protection."
