Chapter 2012 - Chapter 1357: The Feast Mystery (Part Seven)_1

Two days before the wedding ceremony, Shiller was awakened by the sunlight streaming directly into the Fairy Palace through the window. Asgard is a sky island floating in the cosmos, not orbiting a star. All light here comes from the World Tree, with the rising and setting of the sun bearing no heat.

As a result, the morning sun here carries a certain chill. The abundant energy from the World Tree brings a mist, which softens the sunlight filtering through the curtain. The gods from Northern Europe appreciate this atmosphere imbued with a melancholy blue hue.

The rhythmic knocking sounded at the door. Shiller said 'Come in', and a goddess came in, smiling. She placed an invitation on the table by the door and said, "Good day, sir. There will be a music concert featuring Asgard's specialties in Xiangong Hall tonight. If you are interested, please ring the service bell dressed formally around 7:10 this evening, and someone will guide you to the hall."

Shiller was somewhat surprised and asked, "Aren't the concerts and other hospitality events held after the ceremony?"

"No, sir, I know this differs from the etiquette of most civilizations, but here in Asgard, hospitality events are held first, with the wedding ceremony last. It allows our guests to better appreciate our cultural atmosphere and gain a deeper understanding of the wedding ceremony."

"Fine, I see. So, what other hospitality events are there apart from the concert?"

"After the concert ends tonight, there will be no extra activities for today. But tomorrow morning, you can visit Asgard's exhibition pavilion for an art exhibition, or you can go to the library to read books on Asgard's history and culture."

"The evening after tomorrow, we will be hosting a ball in the Xian Palace Main Hall. It's the most important hospitality event. The Divine King, future Queen of Gods, and all the distinguished guests will be there. Please be sure to attend on time."

"Thank you, Goddess. May I go see some friends and chat with them during the day? It's been a while since I last saw them, but I won't miss the concert."

"Of course, sir. You are free to plan your daytime activities. We'll see you tonight. Have fun!"

After her words, the Goddess closed the door and left. Shiller heaved a sigh of relief. It must be acknowledged that if Asgardians are willing to maintain a positive attitude towards you, it is very comfortable being around them. These gods are not only visually pleasing, but their disposition also exudes the boldness and enthusiasm of marine civilizations.

Shiller picked up the invitation by the door. It detailed the specific time and location, even the arrangements for the next two days. Just like the goddess had mentioned, most of the daytime was left for free activities, allowing guests to freely mingle.

This arrangement was intelligent. Everyone knew that the main theme of attending the wedding was not the wedding itself. People just needed an excuse to congregate and resolve interstellar society's social issues for the next ten, if not, several decades.

Of course, Shiller had issues to resolve, specifically the ones concerning Thanos and the Dark Quadrant.

People still remember that a few remaining members of the previously destroyed Skrull Empire ended up on Earth. Although a futile decision by a foolish general led many of them to replicate human capabilities and fall prey to human ideologies, leading most to side with the humans, a few members were unwilling to give up and wanted to rebuild the Skrull Empire.

They did not accept the current militaristic Skrull Empire as home, nor did they wish to return. Instead, they wanted to find new land and start anew.

The cosmos is expansive, yet there are only a handful of places suitable for habitation, and more importantly, they had to stay well clear from the New Skrull Empire's sphere of influence, lest they get discovered and exterminated.

Initially, Shiller had pointed them towards the right path. At that time, Thanos had just provoked Eternity, who subsequently cut off the Dark Dimension and hung it on the outer wall of the cosmos. The members of the former Skrull Empire then made it their home.

But now, Thanos, by leveraging the Shi'ar Empire's dimension-cutting device, brought back the resources from other universes' Thanoses. Without a doubt, he would need somewhere to set his foot, and the Shi'ar Empire's device could happen to dissociate a piece of dimension and then sew it back.

So the best option for Thanos would be to replace the Dark Dimension where it was initially located, but the original location is currently occupied, giving Thanos a bit of a hard time.

Someone might think, "Could a member of the Titan Clan not beat a few Skrulls?" But don't forget that among the Skrulls, the clone who leads them happened to be Captain America - it's anyone's game.

Even scarier is the fact that there is a Shiller among the Skrulls.

Back then, the Skrull general who had cloned Nick wanted the last member who hadn't chosen a cloning object to clone Shiller, but he ended up being infected by Shiller instead.

Now, he is part of the personalities in the High Tower, and with many personalities in the High Tower, one more wouldn't hurt. The only difference is that he has a separate Skrull body that can move around freely, without having to share shifts with the other Shillers.

However, a drawback is that the Skrulls can only copy abilities, not external enhancements. This Skrull Shiller doesn't have the Gray mist, has weak self-defense capabilities, and his functioning has been limited due to security issues. So far, his activities have only been limited to the vicinity of the Dark Quadrant.
