Chapter 1999 - Chapter 1348: Interstellar Grand Stage (55)_1

The moment Shiller arrived in the Realm of Death, he could feel a breeze brush against his face. An unusual aura surrounded him; it wasn't the familiar scent of death from their universe, but a scent of a different death.

The universe where Thanos snapped his fingers, wasn't within Shiller's multiverse but a standalone universe within another multiverse. To put it another way, this death wasn't the one Shiller was familiar with before.

Shiller knew this all along, that's why he came to the Realm of Death to negotiate with Death. If it had been the death from his original universe, he wouldn't have been let into the Realm of Death. A tree branch wouldn't have gotten near his heart without being locked into place by an invisible force, much like what happened with the scale previously.

Feeling the unfamiliar scent of death, Shiller found it comforting. It felt like going home. Suddenly, the breeze disappeared, and a figure emerged in the thick misty darkness.

Before Shiller even had a chance to open his mouth to speak, the woman opposite him spoke first: "...Wait a minute, why does your face seem familiar?"

Shiller was about to start explaining, but a piercing shriek came from across, followed by a cry mixed with shock and fear: "You're Shiller??!!"

Shiller was taken aback.

"I am Shiller." Shiller nodded, looking at the woman across, dressed in a long black dress, her skin pale, saying, "You are Death? Well, as you can see, I am here to…"

"Who are you trying to resurrect?!" The goddess interrupted Shiller's speech, speaking at a rapid pace, "Tell me his name, take him away now, and then leave my kingdom, immediately, at once!"

"I…" Shiller took a step forward wanting to speak to the goddess of death, but a pale hand appearing from the heavy black mist made a gesture to stop.

"I warn you, stay where you are! Don't come closer!" The Goddess of Death extended one hand to stop Shiller, her gaze as if she had seen something unspeakable.

Shiller smiled and said, "I think you've misunderstood. Actually I…"

As soon as he got these words out, two arms emerged from the black fog, covering the ears of the Goddess of Death. She maintained the pose of trying to stop Shiller and said, "I didn't kill the man, I don't know this Thanos, and I don't know anything. I've sent the souls of all humans back. Please leave my house at once! Like, right now! Or else I'm calling Eternity!"

Shiller stared wide-eyed at her, blinked and asked, "You resurrected all of humanity?"

"Don't push your luck, Shiller!" The goddess of death shrieked, "Are you implying I should resurrect all creatures? What do the aliens have to do with you?!"

"Actually, I just wanted to ask how…"

"Enough! Give me two days, I will return 90% of the souls! ...I really can't do any more than that, maintaining the universe has its costs, do I not even have the right to collect a tax?!"

Shiller was speechless. Could it be that Death from his universe is such a blabbermouth, revealing his name during their meetings? Eternity hasn't even spoken a word yet and she's already being all passive-aggressive??

A highly enthusiastic Shiller felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured over his head. He figured that Eternity and Death in his universe were as guarded against him as if guarding against a thief, leaving him with hardly any room for expression. Coming to another multiverse, wasn't this a good opportunity to bond with the five great gods here?

As a result, Death's big mouth must have spread rumors about him throughout the Omni Universe. He hadn't even drawn his knife yet, and the opponents had surrendered directly, which was hardly challenging at all.

Bored, Shiller waved his hand and said: "Alright, you do as you see fit. Oh yes, don't bother Thanos without reason, he still has his uses."

As soon as his voice fell, Shiller was kicked out of the Realm of Death. As he sat up from the ground, he saw the shocked Thanos looking at him with eyes as big as bell clappers.

Shiller extended a hand to pluck out the branch from his chest, said displeasingly: "What are you staring at? Haven't you seen someone come back from the dead?"

After saying this, he stood up, raised his head to look at the sky of Titan Planet. It was already in chaos. The invaders from the other worlds were getting even more excited. Energy is deployed crazily, the Demon Gods used all their power to stay alive, throwing out their energy as though it was free.

Thanos, wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, did not have the energy to snap again. He could only utilize the attributes of the Infinity Gems themselves to fight, making him rather inconspicuous amidst the battle.

If anything, you have to blame it on Shiller's universe which was originally stronger than here. Those who came were all heavy hitters: Magneto, the Supreme Magician, and Iron Man. Their special effects were more dazzling than the last, each with a wider impact range than the previous.

Thanos, wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, was consuming energy greatly. His condition was not good, blending into this crowd, he indeed seemed somewhat insignificant.

The little energy left was just enough for him to protect himself in the melee, and not sufficient enough for attacks. He wouldn't even be able to deal with the monsters, let alone the desperate Demon Gods fighting for their lives.

For someone like Thanos, the overwhelming sense of powerlessness caused by weakness was his greatest fear. That fear, in turn, would give birth to extreme anger.

He was in this embarrassing state in order to preserve the universe, but these Demons Gods who recklessly wasted energy were cornering themselves, awaiting for the opportune moment to seize the advantage when he was weak.
