Chapter 1967 - Chapter 1326: Interstellar Big Stage (33)_1

Many elements of the experimental data in Tony Stark's lab might as well be gibberish to an ordinary person,

The genius scientist's non-linear manner of thinking means he doesn't always record key data according to conventional requirements, making it difficult for even other scientists to understand.

This phenomenon, somewhat like a knowledge barrier, is one-directional. Stark can comprehend the lab data of other scientists in his field, so he figures he should be able to decipher his own former experiment data.

But what Stark encountered was a series of puzzling data. Or, more accurately, it barely qualified as data. It was more akin to philosophical and metaphysical conjecture, with few numbers, letters or symbols and many disjointed English annotations.

Furthermore, these phrases were fragmented, akin to drunken ramblings. Key terms hinted at arcane metaphysics – "origin," "root," "destiny," and so forth.

Stark wondered if this universe's Iron Man had gotten drunk and gone on a typing spree. He said to Jarvis, "Bring up the preceding document."

Several more scrolls through the data revealed the same pattern until he scrolled back far enough to find data he could barely make sense of due to its age.

Stark squinted at the experiment data, which seemed to be materials-related, and muttered, "Testing new materials - so the battlesuit..."

"Jarvis, could you display the latest battlesuit model for me?" Stark commanded immediately. He surmised that by observing the suit, he would be able to gauge how advanced the technology of this universe's Iron Man is.

"Of course, sir. You can inspect it in Calibration Area 3."

Stark took a notebook and a pen from a drawer, crossed the corridor into Calibration Area 3, and found an empty display stand.

Before Stark could even question the empty stand, a humming noise emanated from behind him. A sense of dread filled him, so he instinctively rolled forward, landing flat on the floor.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!"

Several parts flew onto the display stand, forming a Delta Iron Armor. Lying on the floor, Stark sighed helplessly, "Long time no see, Playboy."

Stark arose from the floor, walked to the armor display, and reached to touch the familiar surface. As his hand came into contact with the battlesuit, he froze.

He felt as if he had an extra organ, like his arm was extending out indefinitely and sprouting eyes, ears, and noses.

This was an entirely new and astonishing sensory experience. It seemed like he had dual vision. He blinked at the seemingly ordinary battlesuit and then screamed, hastily withdrawing his hand and stumbling back.

Because he had just seen himself blink, and therefore also saw the battlesuit blink at him in return.

Many people have played third-person games where the character is seen from a God's-eye view. However, in reality, every person's life is first-person. But what would happen if one day, your life turned third-person?

Stark just experienced such a phenomenon. He saw himself from another angle, like a sentient camera filming another camera.

The sudden disorientation made Stark a tad dizzy. He shook his head forcefully and again looked at the suit he'd named "Playboy."

Swallowing hard, Stark cautiously approached the battlesuit and again touched the face guard softly.

"Ah!!!"

Stark shrieked again but this time, he forced himself to keep his hand steady against the armor, trying to adjust to the vision. He then muttered, "...Neural control?"

For a good ten minutes or so, Stark stood dumbfounded in front of the battlesuit. When he finally withdrew his hand, his eyes looked vacant as if he was left in deep thought.

Just as Stark was slowly walking back, lost in his thoughts, he heard the brisk click-clack of high heels outside the lab.

The sound was as familiar to Stark as his own DNA. He immediately adjusted his tousled hair, rubbed his stubbled chin, straightened his collar, dusted off his shoes ensuring his appearance was presentable, then cracked a smile.

But it wasn't Pepper who walked in.

A dark-haired young woman dressed professionally strode in. She wore a silk blouse with a short blazer and a long mermaid skirt, Prada heels, and carried a Louis Vuitton bag. She looked every bit a Wall Street businesswoman.

"Oh my God! I didn't believe Shiller when she told me you were back! Weren't you on a science expedition in the Andromeda Galaxy? How are you back so soon?"

The dark-haired woman tossed her bag onto a nearby lab table and ran her hands through her hair, took an elastic band from her jacket pocket, tied her hair into a ponytail, fanned herself with her hand, exclaiming, "Oh my God, I'm dying from the heat! I wouldn't have dressed like this if it weren't for the quarterly meeting!"

Stark stood frozen in his tracks. He glanced around, blinked, and tried to determine the exact nature of his relationship with the young woman who had just come in.

Could it be that at this time, he and Pepper hadn't confirmed their relationship yet?

As Stark was doubting, he saw the black-haired girl in front of him hugging her arm, sizing him up and down, and asked, "…Where's the kid?"

Stark froze.

Before he could reply, the black-haired girl began to walk towards the lounge, saying as she walked, "I need to take Helen back soon, the dress Frigga made for her last week is already ready, I've been so busy with the Holy Sanctuary's quarterly summary, I couldn't come over, she's about to go crazy!"

"Oh, right, didn't you say you were going to custom make a crown for her with new material? Thor is still waiting for your crown base. Can you get Jarvis to send it over, so I can take it back with me?"

Stark stood still, unable to say a word, but the black-haired girl stood at the door, turned around and looked at Stark with a surprised look, saying, "Odin's beard! You didn't forget, did you?"

"Come on, Tony Stark! Even if you're so focused on your experiments, you wouldn't forget something this important, would you?! Thor is getting married next month, don't tell me you haven't prepared your wedding suit yet!"

The black-haired girl raised her head, covered her eyes with one hand, and said: "Forget it, I shouldn't be relying on you, playboy! Just give me the new material you've researched, I'll go find a dwarf to make the crown."

Stark seemed to suddenly wake up and instinctively repeated, "Thor is getting married… with who?"

The black-haired girl widened her eyes, she slowly walked around the lab table, came to Stark, lowered her eyelashes to think for a moment, and then said in realization: "Oh, I remember, the invitation Asgard sent you was stopped by your security system and returned the same way, don't tell me you don't know about this?"

Stark tried to focus his eyes on the black-haired girl's face, her expression was taken aback, as if she had just stepped on a tail, she said: "Oh my god! You didn't actually believe that rumor, did you?!"

"Thor is not marrying me! He's marrying Sif! Sif is the future Queen of Gods, her name is written on the invitation!"

The black-haired girl arched her head to look at the ceiling, then bit her lip and said, "That damn Strange! In Asgard, he spreads rumors about me and you; on Earth, he spreads rumors about me and Thor; one of these days, when I drop all my work, I wonder how he will deal with all my clients?!"

"And you, forgetting such an important thing as your daughter's crown, I've never seen such an irresponsible father!"

The black-haired girl angrily walked towards the lounge, calling out loudly as she walked, "Helen! Helen! Come with me, stay here any longer and your irresponsible dad might starve you!"

It was then that Stark responded, the Iron Man in this world has a daughter? This lady is the mother of the child, what's up with Thor then?

After a quick thought, Stark concluded that the Iron Man in this world got married to some goddess from Asgard? Or did they get divorced, so the child has to shuttle between them?

As Stark was about to say something to match his fatherly image, he saw a little girl rushing into the lab at a speed of at least 100 mph, and "bang", crashing into the lab table.

The lab table shattered.

"Helen, where did you go?" The black-haired girl rushed out of the lounge again, after hearing this name, Stark slightly lowered his head to look at the little girl standing next to the fragments of the lab table.

Good, she looks at least seventy percent like her mother.

But what's up with that reactor on her chest?!!!

Stark inwardly roared, since when could reactors be inherited?!!!

Looking at this girl who seemed to be the mother of the child, Stark thought, she could only be called a girl, maybe it's because the people of Asgard don't age, the lady in front of him could at most be considered a girl, to put it bluntly, Stark could be her dad if he were a bit older.

Stark pursed his mouth, watched as the black-haired girl neatly packed up Helen's things, and he wondered, the Iron Man of this world was quite brave, actually wooing a goddess from Asgard, and even had a child with her, isn't this becoming in-laws with Thor directly?

Watching the professionally dressed girl quickly pack up Helen's things, Stark stepped forward, intending to ask what's going on with Thor's marriage, but at this time, the black-haired girl waved her hand and said, "Frigga is rushing me too hard, I'll go there first, we can chat on the phone if anything comes up!"

By the way, don't let your security robot stop our invitation anymore, there are no bombs in there, and even if there were, it definitely wouldn't be me who put it there, goodbye!"

After speaking, the black-haired girl took out a scepter, waved it gently, and a portal opened in mid-air. The mother and daughter disappeared into the portal.

Stark, however, was completely frozen in place.

Because just seconds ago, he clearly saw every detail of the scepter the girl held in her hand.

This slightly curved, with the upper half in iron grey and the lower half in golden short staff, and more importantly, in the blade-like grey staff head, a brilliant blue gem was embedded.

In the universe Stark is in, this scepter is commonly known as——"Loki's Scepter".
