Zhengxian slightly pondered then quickly understood Shiller's meaning. Smiling, he looked at Xu Shang-Chi and said, "Xu, Doctor Shiller tells me that you're from another universe. Therefore, you don't have any identity or educational credentials in this universe. It might be difficult if you want to continue your education."
"However, considering the level at which you answered the admission questions, I assume you're a youth with a high level of education. After this dream ends, I will contact Tongji University to provide a renewed student registration for you. Then, you can continue your studies in America."
Xu Shang-Chi, shocked, looked at Zhengxian and incredulously exclaimed, "Can it really be arranged?"
"Actually, it can," Shiller chimed in. He turned towards Riley and said, "The Spiderman over there also came from another universe. He is a clone who graduated from New York University. Therefore, it's akin to him graduating from New York University too. As long as it's recorded in SHIELD, with the Multiverse, credentials are inter-usable."
Xu Shang-Chi's outlook was hit hard. Isn't it the case that transmigrators in this universe aren't unique? It seemed that they had already perfected dealing with guests from other universes.
"Of course," Shiller said nonchalantly. "If each universe transfer required re-obtaining a degree, you might as well not do anything. The best solution is to supplement education credentials. Of course, you need a sponsor to confirm that you indeed have an undergraduate-level education."
Xu Shang-Chi slowly turned towards Shiller. Shiller took a document from his briefcase and handed it to Zhengxian, saying, "This is a letter of guarantee from SHIELD. The authorization is signed."
Zhengxian scanned it and said, "Okay, his student registration will be entered into the platform within three working days at most, as a foreign student. For the American education systems platform, you'll manage it yourselves."
In just a few sentences, Xu Shang-Chi's lack of student status had been resolved. Shiller casually put away the papers and told Xu Shang-Chi, "You should prepare the application materials for MIT. I will send the recommendation letter directly to the school. Just enrol when school starts."
"Huh?!?!"
Xu Shang-Chi suddenly felt a surreal sensation. How did he apply to MIT? When did he get a recommendation letter? When was he going to enroll? Wasn't everything happening a little fast?
Was this what it felt like to have a strong status?
Xu Shang-Chi swallowed, turned and stared straight at Shiller. He heard Zhengxian say, "I think Doctor Shiller's suggestion is good, local Chinese people experiencing the Dreamland School is quite authentic. Especially since Xu has studied in China, he can certainly provide good suggestions for the construction of the Dreamland School by SWORD."
At this point, both Shiller and Zhengxian stood up, and Xu Shang-Chi could only follow suit. Zhengxian first extended his hand, and Xu Shang-Chi had to shake it.
Zhengxian then shook hands with Shiller and said, "Let's do it this way. To facilitate communication with us, there is an intern assistant position vacant at the SWORD Agency New York Foreign Affairs Department. He should go there first and get some experience."
"Yes, exactly," Shiller agreed with a smile. "I have a few rough and small suggestions about setting up a school in the Dreamworld, but it's already late. We can arrange another time to discuss it. I'm just worried about Chief Zheng's busyness..."
Zhengxian completely understood and said, "I think he and you have a good relationship. So Doctor Shiller, Xu Shang-Chi, SWORD's intern diplomatic envoy assistant stationed in New York, will be responsible for coordinating with SHIELD on the construction of the Dreamworld School."
"Perfect, I have a vacant post of assistance lecturer in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Training Academy. The office location is in the comprehensive building of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Training Academy, separate office and all expenses covered."
The two shared a knowing smile. Xu Shang-Chi felt as if he had been hit by a pie falling from the sky, standing stunned.
After Chief Zheng of the Spear Bureau left, Xu Shang-Chi looked at Shiller in a daze and asked, "So, who am I? Where am I? What do I need to do?"
Shiller looked at him helplessly and said, "Didn't you hear what Chief Zheng said? You are now the intern diplomat assistant of the SWORD in New York, and also an assistant instructor in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Training Academy, currently appointed by the Spear Bureau and stationed in Shields office."
"So I've joined SWORD?? And I'm working in S.H.I.E.L.D ?? How did it happen… I mean, is there a staffing quota?"
"Tenure quota."
"Yeah!" Xu Shang-Chi instinctively cheered.
Just after cheering, Xu Shang-Chi responded and said in a low voice, "Wait a minute, why do I need to be a civil servant after crossing the Marvel World? This script is wrong, right?"
At this time, Shiller had already picked up his briefcase and walked out. Xu Shang-Chi thought about it and responded. He chased after Shiller and said,
"You're not really an ordinary person, right?? Oh my god, what have you done? You managed to make it so that I directly got a position? And positions in two super agent organizations, permanent ones at that?!"
Xu Shang-Chi's eyes became more and more bright. He finally realized that Shiller's golden thighs were thicker than The Avengers!
Life tenure in the biggest super-powered agent organizations in the East and West! Not one, but two life tenure, the iron rice bowl amongst iron rice bowls!
Could the Avengers achieve that?!!
Thinking about The Avengers, Xu Shang-Chi's eyes shifted. He followed Shiller like a little tail, chattering, "How do I compare to the Avengers given my position? Can I meet them?"
Shiller, seeming a bit annoyed with his nagging, stopped abruptly, turned around and, using a document bag as an extension of his arm, swung at Xu Shang-Chi's head.
"Bang!"
"Ah!"
Xu Shang-Chi suddenly woke up from the hospital bed. He took a few deep breaths, unsure if his dream was real.
Just as he was recalling the details of the dream, the door suddenly swung open. The first thing that came in was an unmistakably familiar and shiny shield.
"You're the new assistant professor, right? I'm Steve Rogers. Just call me Steve. Doctor Shiller asked me to take you to the Agent Training Academy. Let's go."
"Captain America?! I've been a fan of yours since I was a kid! Could you tell me again..."
