Chapter 1611 - Chapter 1080: Father and Son (Part Nine)_1

They switched to a new dressing room and Loki clung tightly to Helen to avoid another meal increase. After changing their clothes and Loki putting on a collar, they started making their way to the courtroom.

As they walked, Loki constantly turned her head to observe her surroundings, noticing the same statues on both sides of the hallway that she had seen earlier in the lobby. All of them were dressed in strange uniforms, making odd gestures.

"Oh!" Loki suddenly exclaimed. In that instant, Mobius and B15 who were walking ahead went into a defensive stance. However, when they turned around, they found Loki unharmed, just clutching her neck.

"What's wrong?" Mobius lagged behind a bit. Loki glared at Helen, then told Mobius, "I'm fine. It's just that my daughter might be a bit hungry. Can you find her something to eat later?"

"Err, what does she eat? Human food? I have snacks on my desk. I'll bring her some later." Mobius seemed to love kids, using his palms to make various shapes, eliciting laughter from Helen.

The group entered the large courtroom, which looked similar to those Loki had seen on Earth. The lighting was dim and heavy, and the atmosphere solemn and serious.

However, Loki did not feel nervous. Back when she worked at the Holy Sanctuary, her fellow employees loved to boast during their free time about how they played the judges and lawyers, who didn't even understand basic math, in court. They would each appear in court more than a dozen times a year, and some had even managed to seduce the judges.

Thinking of the judges, Loki looked up at the woman who stood in the position of the Judgment Chief. She had chestnut-colored skin and slightly curled black hair, and looked like a person of brown race.

"I am Ravona, the Judgment Chief for this trial. I will conduct a fair trial for the time crimes you have committed... wait a minute!"

The woman identified as Ravona looked down at the documents on her desk, then slowly furrowed her brows. Looking unhappy, she threw the files to one side and shouted to Mobius, "What's going on, Mobius?! How did the documents get messed up again?! How did Loki's files get mixed in here?"

Mobius jogged over from the window, whispered something into Ravona's ear, and within seconds, Ravona's face had changed multiple times. Her expression was dramatic, and her gaze at Loki was uncertain.

After all, considering their limited understanding, Loki's life story was rather astonishing.

Although there were infinite Lokis in the infinite universes of the multiverse, there weren't many female Lokis. And a female Loki who had seduced Iron Man and even had a child with him was unique, the only one standing in front of them.

Ravona cleared her throat. Instead of announcing the start of the trial, she looked at Loki and asked, "Where is Pepper Potts from your world? Didn't she and Iron Man have a child?"

"She is Iron Man's girlfriend, but they don't have kids," Loki answered truthfully.

"She is Iron Man's girlfriend?!" Ravona's voice grew louder. Mobius and B15, who was standing by the door, both turned to look at Loki. Loki rolled her eyes, not feeling like explaining their complicated relationship. Instead, she said somewhat languidly, "I have nothing to do with Iron Man."

The expressions on their faces were priceless. At that moment, something dawned on Ravona. She waved B15 over. B15 took out a strange device, pointed it at Helen, and then let out a startled cry. After putting away the device, she looked at Ravona and Mobius, wide-eyed, and said something to them. Amid the whispers, Mobius could not help but raise his voice, "Thor's divine power?! Why does she have Thor's divine power?! Don't tell me she's actually..."

Ravona patted Mobius on the arm, then cleared her throat and said, "Don't misunderstand. This is all part of a reasonable investigation into the situation in your timeline. Thank you for your cooperation, now let's proceed with the trial..."

Everyone took their positions, the jury came in, the guards closed the doors, and Mobius stood aside to participate in the hearing.

Ravona took up the gavel and said, "Silence! Time defendant Loki, do you admit that you have used the Time Gem multiple times to undertake illegal time travel, creating a large amount of redundant junk for the cosmic timeline library, not sorting this junk, and arbitrarily discarding hazardous waste to contaminate timeline?"

"... What???" Loki could only utter a syllable, repeating, "What did you just say? Why did you arrest me?"

Her genuinely confused reaction prompted Ravona to look down at the script on her desk and repeat Loki's charges.

Before she could finish, Loki was like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She almost jumped up on the spot, yelling, "So you're saying, you arrested me, not because I've pulled off some brilliant scam or tricked some powerful gullible fool, but just because I happened to play with the Time Gem?!"

"Watch your tone!" Ravona hammered her gavel on the table and said, "What do you mean by 'playing with the Time Gem'? You completely fail to realize the huge impact your irresponsible actions have had on the cosmic timeline..."

"I..." Loki was taken aback. She took another look at her surroundings and said, "So, your so-called Time Management Bureau is literally a 'Time Management Bureau'? Not some anti-fraud department or a cosmic law enforcement organization?"

Before Ravona could respond, Loki stood there with a somber face, playing with her hair, and said, "I knew it. I knew that purple-skinned bastard couldn't have been foolish enough to call the police. If I were to be caught, how could he have hoped to escape?"

"Fine, fine, I used the Time Gem." Loki nodded, "But there were reasons, I needed to save JARVIS, understand? I needed to go back and learn the technology..."

"No matter what you wanted to do, your actions have endangered the timeline of the cosmos. The rapid, high-intensity time travel you carried out created too many redundant timelines in the timeline storage of the multiverse. The storage overflowed, polluting the timeline..."

"A DDOS attack." Helen, who was left standing on the stand by Loki, poked Loki's arm, "Mom! You're a cosmic hacker now! That's so cool!"

Loki slapped her on the back and said through gritted teeth, "What's cool?! No hacking! You are a princess of Asgard!"

"So, you admit to your crime?" Ravona asked.

"I did it." Loki pursed her lips, waved her hands impatiently, "Just pass judgement, I need to go to jail..."

Ravona tossed the charge aside nonchalantly, then said, "You seem to be sorry for your mistakes, that's better than some other Lokis. Although your crime was relatively serious, you can have your sentence reduced to 20 days, Go now."

However, Loki stared at her in disbelief. "20 days in jail?! Are you joking?! I am the God of Mischief! You people went through so much trouble to catch me, just to sentence me to 20 days in jail??"

"Well, these 20 days probably won't be what you expect, the flow of time is dif….." Mobius began to explain, but Loki quickly interrupted him.

"What nonsense are you spouting?! Do you know? If people find out, that after I was captured, I was only sentenced to 20 days, I won't be able to show my face in the cosmos!"

"I will be disgraced in the Holy Sanctuary! Those humans all got at least 200 years!! And I, an immortal from the Asgard God Clan, only got 20 days?! My goodness, you are questioning my life's achievements!"

"You damn bugs! Unprofessional! No appreciation! You are saying I'm nothing more than a typical swindler! Even a standard swindler would not be sentenced to just 20 days!!"

"Contempt of court!" Ravona hit the table with a gavel, "Add 10 more days!"

"Helen! Bite her!"

A series of screams, curses, and more than two minutes of chaos erupted in the courtroom.

The iron gate clanged shut, two prisoners, big and small, in prison uniforms, with '2000 years in jail' labels on their chests, both had the same satisfied smiles on their faces.

Mobius, in a suit with more than 600 bite marks, and Ravona, her hair completely disheveled and covered in scraps of paper, exited the courtroom together. Mobius asked, "Even though she pleaded guilty, she is still Loki, shouldn't we still follow the procedure?"

"Do as you please." Ravona responded dismissively, "Tell B15 not to bring unrelated people anymore; even if she's a child!"

After saying this, she hurriedly walked away. Mobius, who was left standing, mumbled to himself, "A child who bit me more than 600 times in two minutes?"

Then he adjusted his suit, turned around and walked in the opposite direction, saying to a nearby guard, "Tell the detention department to bring her over... Oh and, don't bring the little girl. Just find her an office, get some snacks and toys, let her stay by herself for a while..."

Nonetheless, a few minutes later, Loki and Helen still showed up in Mobius's office together. The guard shrugged at Mobius, "I can't separate them."

Having experienced Helen's fierceness, Mobius sighed, beckoned Helen over and said, "Come here, your mom and I have some things to discuss, the snacks are in the drawer. Can you wait here for a while?"

Helen looked at him, then around the whole office, seeming to find something that interested her. So, she jumped down from Loki, ran to sit on Mobius's chair and began eating snacks from the drawer, appearing well-behaved and obedient.

On the way to another room, Loki was busy tidying up her hair, which looked like a bird's nest. She fixed the collar of the prison uniform that Helen had torn open a bit, then wiped the sweat off her forehead.

A sense of relaxation and joy, which she hadn't felt in a long time, surged in Loki's heart. So, she sincerely said to Mobius:

"Thank you. You've been a great help."

Seeing Loki's polite smile and sincere gaze, Mobius felt like he was probably dreaming.
