Chapter 1601 - Chapter 1074: Father and Son (Part 3)_2

Faced with the formidable power of Magneto, Wanda didn't flinch at all. A red glow surrounded her, and she radiated endless chaos, while a storm emerged from the flat ground around her.

The clouds in the night sky retreated due to their fear, the pebbles on the ground started to tremble, and Pietro, standing behind Wanda, yelled, "Calm down!! This is a residential area!! You can't fight here!!!"

However, an angry Wanda seemed to have lost her sanity, and Magneto, he would never show weakness to anyone. The air around the street started to condense.

Pietro turned his head to look at the room next to him, where the lights turned on and pots and pans started flying. He gritted his teeth and tried to make a call on his mobile, only to find the signal was also being disrupted.

More and more rooms were lighting up, and many confused residents peeked out. Some people thought it was an earthquake and hurriedly ran out of the apartment building, only to be knocked over by the storm raging between the two powers.

Wanda stretched out her hand toward Magneto, and countless red ribbons of power rolled towards him. Magneto gently raised his hands, the magnetic field got distorted, and the bands of the chaos magic got twisted to the side.

In the next second, his afterimage appeared in front of Wanda. Wanda extended her arm to block it, the red glow in her eyes intensified, and she punched Magneto's helmet. However, the resulting burst of red light only hit Magneto's afterimage. Wanda turned to punch, only for Magneto to grab her fist.

Magneto gave a gentle shake that carried an invincible magnetic force. Wanda somersaulted in the air and landed unscathed.

Magneto squinted his eyes, and Wanda's face also seemed a bit serious. They both knew how powerful the other was.

Although Magneto hadn't exerted his full strength, Wanda was not at her peak either. She hadn't even borrowed the power of Xeseon, let alone summoned up her magic.

But with the end of the exploratory round, their contest escalated once again. Magneto lightly flicked his finger, and the power poles on both sides of the road collapsed one after another. The red magic restraints grabbed the nearest two power poles, swung them in a circle in the air, and then pushed toward Magneto.

Magneto showed a cold smile and lightly grasped his hand. All the cars, power poles, traffic bollards, and miscellaneous items on the entire road were blown to dust.

Just as Wanda was about to advance again, she heard a terrified shout from behind. She turned her head and saw the remains of a collapsed power pole falling towards a father and daughter who had just rushed out of the apartment building.

Wanda didn't care about Magneto on the other side. She turned around and waved her hand, and the power pole was flung away. But in the next second, she was thrown to the ground by a powerful magnetic force, and then pressed to the ground by a giant hand made of magnetism.

Wanda struggled and looked at the father and daughter. Magneto rose into the air, slowly falling above her, glanced at the father and daughter, and said in a low tone, "I will teach you that compassion is your biggest enemy..."

After saying this, he reached out toward the father and daughter. Wanda shouted, "No!! You monster!!!!!"

Just as Wanda was about to rise and stop him in desperation, another shadow crossed in front of her and took the father and daughter away. Wanda looked up and saw a figure put the father and daughter down and jumped onto the roof.

"Spider-Man? No, not Spider-Man..." Wanda said with some confusion. At this point, Magneto also turned his gaze to the figure's face.

The mysterious figure wore a hood, obscuring his face. Magneto reached out his hand, paused for a moment, and then said in a deep voice, "Interesting."

As he was about to take further action, he suddenly seemed to think of something, showing a hesitant expression. In the end, he still shook his cloak, turned around, and left.

Pietro quickly ran over, helped Wanda up, and Wanda coughed a couple of times, shook her head indicating she was fine.

After she said this, she looked up at the figure on the roof, just about to speak, when cries came from the other side.

Wanda hurriedly ran over. The little girl of the father and daughter duo who had just been saved by the figure pointed at her father's arm and cried, "He's bleeding! He's bleeding! Please help my dad!"

Wanda clumsily hugged the little girl, and said, "Don't cry, we will help you..."

Though she said so, Wanda had no idea how to administer first aid. She could only point at the wound and say, "Heal!"

The wound began to heal, but very slowly. Wanda rubbed her temples and muttered, "Focus, focus, don't get angry, don't get angry..."

However, her emotional turbulence made it difficult for her to control magic. At this time, another figure appeared next to her, saying, "Hello, Mr. Pietro, you are very fast. Could you please find some hemostatic items?"

Upon seeing the figure who had materialized in front of him, Pietro was taken aback. As the figure lifted his hood, Pietro and Wanda were both momentarily stupefied. Pietro exclaimed, "A vampire?! Oh, wait, you're not a vampire. Who are you?"

"You can call me Jarvis." Jarvis blinked.

Pietro and Wanda exchanged glances, both looking at Jarvis somewhat confusedly.

About half an hour later, Jarvis and Wanda stood on a rooftop. Wanda brushed off the dust from her arm, and said, "Thank you for your help..."

"You're welcome." Jarvis's voice was still very bland.

"Are you the new superhero?" Wanda looked at Jarvis. Then as though recalling something, she said, "Oh, sorry, you guys usually wear masks, right? I didn't mean to pry about your real identity..."

Jarvis shook his head without saying a word, but Wanda glanced curiously at the marks on his face. She wanted to ask something, but she hesitated when she was about to open her mouth. As a result, she changed the subject.

"Why are you here? Did we cause too much commotion?"

Jarvis shook his head again and said,

"I was kicked out."

"Kicked out?" A surprised Wanda raised an eyebrow. Then she gave Jarvis a once over and noticed that he looked quite young, about the same age as Pietro. So she asked, "Did your parents kick you out? Did you guys have an argument?"

"You could say that." Jarvis let out a sigh.

"...With your father?" Wanda guessed.

Jarvis paused for a moment, but he eventually nodded.

Wanda, who had not connected him with his identity and thought he simply had the same name as the AI she knew, didn't notice that Jarvis' gaze was fixed on the tallest building in the New York City skyline.

As the moon was about to sink below the horizon, the moonlight outlined the wording on the rooftop sign. The flowery English letters spelling out "Stark" that once stood challenging the New York City skyline, is now a part of history and scenery.

Meanwhile, in the office at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Professor X is smiling at Magneto, "…You should have already appeased Wanda, right?"

Underneath the cape, the gloved fingers paused slightly.

Magneto compared the imagined scene with the present situation and felt that there might be some discrepancy. However, to save face in front of Professor X, he nodded reluctantly.
