Chapter 1516 - Chapter 1022: The Earth Broads in an Instant (Middle)_3

Thus, Schiller did not feel any sense of crisis at present, and he believed that if the previous Schiller was alive, he would have had a lot in common with the Greedy Schiller; they would have been the sleeping dragon and rising phoenix, a match made in heaven.

In Marvel, Greedy Schiller pretty much replicated this operation, the two, existing in different times and spaces, became kindred spirits and good friends.

Now, what worried Schiller more was another matter. Just before his dream shattered, he saw the figure of Batman and smelled the scent of Mad Liquor. This meant his student might have used Mad Liquor to intrude into his dream, and his timing was impeccable as the previous Schiller was replaying his past.

Schiller was now desperate to find out, how much had Batman seen?

If it was everything, then he might have to lay his cards on the table with Batman, but he was not sure that Batman could accept the truth that he himself was a fictional character.

What frustrated Schiller even further was that he had spent a whole four years, was on the verge of curing Batman, but what if Batman relapsed because of this revelation? Wouldn't his previous efforts be in vain?

Schiller was not prepared to face this truth so he lay on the bed thinking if there was a more gentle way to reveal the truth.

Soon after, Schiller tried to sit up from the bed, only to find the pistol that Petrov had handed him earlier was still on his quilt.

Schiller picked up the gun; it was a Makarov pistol, favored by all the military officials of the Soviet Union, which was why people often referred to it as the "officer's pistol".

Of course, this couldn't be the same gun that the original Schiller used to commit suicide, but since it was the same type, the image was the same.

Schiller got out of bed and stood by the window, holding the pistol, lost in thought.

The scene of the original Schiller's suicide gave him a lot of emotion because it was now December 2, 1991.

However, many major pre-Soviet Union dissolution events had not yet occurred. The death of the 'chief' had a far greater impact than imagined.

Now, no one wanted to be the first to take the initiative, or else, they might be targeted by both the Soviet Union and America.

Don't forget, the Central American Revolution is in full swing, the U.S. Congress is getting impatient. As long as there is a way to shift the conflict, regardless of the cost, they are willing. The leaders of these small countries are not fools; getting involved at this stage would just mean they were cannon fodder.

As a result, those countries that previously declared independence are now silent, those that have not yet declared independence have gone quiet, planning to wait it out before making further plans.

The successors indeed lived up to expectations, and though they have not achieved much yet, surviving well has given some people hope.

Some of the wavering parties swayed and swung back. Except for certain right-leaning extremist groups, most people switched directions because they couldn't see hope. If they could live decently in their own country, nobody would want to be a low-life in another place.

The situation has stabilized in this way. Although this can't last more than three years, everyone knows that there is a high chance for the Soviet Union to land safely. Maybe it would lose a lot of territories, but like scraping the bone to treat poison to preserve the essence, it might also be a good thing.

With these thoughts in mind, Schiller had the gray mist control the radio and play some music.

While Schiller was toying with the pistol and reminiscing about the scenes he had seen, "Bang!", the hotel door was kicked open; Batman rushed in.

As soon as Batman entered, he saw a scene identical to the one he had just seen in his dream.

There was Schiller, with a heavy expression, standing in front of the window holding a Makarov pistol. On the radio, "Farewell to Mrs. Slav" was playing.
