Chapter 1402 - Chapter 952: Danger (Part 2)_1

Elsewhere, a ship of the Netherworld carrying loads of Schillers, tracking down the scent of the Spirit of Curse, arrived at a palace constructed entirely of vines. The ship showed no intention of stopping, not until it was halted by endless thick vines.

"All Things Green, I'm not here to negotiate." Marvel Schiller jumped off the prow of the ship, declaring, "You shouldn't have intruded in Gotham for an agent, especially not Gotham University."

"Do you know? The plant mutants you control have messed up my mansion and garden. Due to a shortage of gardeners, the eventual repair costs will be hefty. You must pay…"

A cold snort echoed in mid-air, countless vines attacked him. However, in the Queen of May's view, many figures suddenly poured out of the not-so-large ship.

Many Schillers hopped down from the ship, using various methods to attack the vines.

Indeed, the Queen of May is part of All Things Green, but only a part. She does not possess the full strength of All Things Green. Facing numerous figures disembarking from the ship, she began to feel pressured.

More importantly, she found it very baffling. She had no clue why this madman was her enemy? From beginning to end, she had no understanding of what Schiller was saying.

"Are you mad?" the Queen of May asked with perplexity. "Why do you persistently chase me?"

"You are clear about what you have done." Marvel Schiller replied, "Just because your invasion of Gotham didn't succeed, doesn't exempt you from paying the price. Otherwise, anyone can barge in here whenever they like, and all the buildings and gardens would be damaged. That is my property…"

"But I never invaded Gotham." As the Queen of May countered countless Schiller's attacks with her vines, she said, "I was just looking for an agent."

"But to find an agent, you invaded Gotham."

"I did not invade Gotham."

The logic of both sides fell into a cycle. The Queen of May is not human but more a product of an awakened collective consciousness. Her thinking pattern is not human, so she doesn't understand what explanation means. From the perspective of her life level, she does not need to explain anything to any human.

But the more she doesn't explain, the more denial she offers, the more her actions appear to be denial. The more she denies, the more Schiller feels right about his conjecture. Schiller insisted it was All Things Green that planned a conspiracy in order to find an agent.

Just as both sides were about to fight ruthlessly, a voice suddenly appeared in the green space - Dream God Morpheus had arrived. He spoke, "Stop, this might be a misunderstanding!"

"Morpheus, what brings you here?" The Queen of May asked.

"To clear up your misunderstanding." Morpheus shook his head, "Catwoman found me and explained the situation. When I heard it, I knew you must have had a misunderstanding."

"Schiller, put down your weapon first. 'All Things Green' is not that kind of person." Morpheus told Moonlight Schiller, who was at the front of the attack, "Have you forgotten? 'All Things Green' is the spokesperson for plants, protecting them is its mission."

"They wouldn't harm plants using a crazed virus, just like humans wouldn't self-harm for no reason. Their duty is to protect all the plants, not to harm them, so it's impossible for them to be the one to mutate the plants using the virus." Morpheus explained to Schiller.

Then he turned to look at the Queen of May's vines, "As a part of 'All Things Green,' you shouldn't invade the Human World like this. You should know that this is a violation. Even if you make such a fuss to find an agent, it will only lead to the death of more plants…"

Schiller fell silent for a moment, then said, "It is not certain that the plants have really mutated. Perhaps she is controlling the plants to feign madness."

Morpheus shook his head, "Schiller, the Queen of May controlling the vines is only part of 'All Things Green.' Even if she could control the vines to imitate mutation, she wouldn't control trees, flowers. The others wouldn't agree."

"I did not control the plants to invade Gotham." Queen of May said once again, "I just noticed some oddities with the plants of Gotham and came to check. This is my job."

"Then how do you explain what happened to Pamela?" Schiller asked again.

"When I arrived in Gotham, I found her in danger. She is a candidate for my agent, so I had to save her. During the process, I found that she is a very suitable agent. So, I hope she can enter into a contract with me." The Queen of May repeated the whole thing calmly.

"Schiller, 'All Things Green' doesn't need to invade Gotham at all." Morpheus came down to the ground and looked at Schiller, "Your big move to attack 'All Things Green' won't do any good for the situation in Gotham now. It's just a waste of time."

"If it's not the mastermind, it should at least know what happened to Gotham." Schiller turned his head toward the vines, "But don't tell me she didn't even notice this. The plants are the first victims."
