Chapter 1329 - Chapter 904: Red Sea Turbulence (Part 3)_1

"What is Shiller up to?" Stark, sitting in front of the screen, said puzzled, "He has people attacking bases in each state, and even hired someone from the Daily Bugle to film Spiderman, what the hell is he trying to achieve?"

"Oh, Spiderman really did go down!" Peter said, looking at the scene on the screen with surprise. However, the view was through the first-person perspective of Venom.

Peter said with a sense of novelty: "So, this is how I look to my opponents. It's interesting. I look like a real spider."

"Aha, wait a minute!" Peter suddenly came to a realization. He said, "He's not the real Spider-man, he's not me, he is...What's that race called again? Skrulls? They're Skrull aliens, so why are they enforcing justice on Earth?"

Nick smiled and said, "That's exactly what Shiller aims for. Let me ask, what defines a superhero?"

Peter stroked his chin and said, "I think, anyone who does good deeds is a superhero. Actually, I don't quite like the term 'super'. Heroes are heroes, heroes do what others can't, dare to stand out, and save others from danger..."

"You got part of it right," Nick replied. At that moment, Stark spoke, "I, on the other hand, believe the essence of a superhero lies in being 'super'. Our special abilities are what differentiate us from ordinary people."

"Of course, during the war against the vampires, the cops were also heroes. But the problems they could solve were limited, and they had to follow rules and regulations, even when using firearms, they couldn't exceed the rules."

"I'm different. I can provide all sorts of fire support to everyone, regardless of whether ordinary people can own these weapons. I can utilize my special powers to help them in ways that go beyond the rules. This is extremely crucial."

Steve, on the other hand, pondered, "The image of the superhero is also very important. Throughout these years, my influence is all thanks to the image of Captain America."

"I admit. I'm not a very charismatic person. I was rather reticent before becoming Captain America."

"But, during the war, the government's propaganda about Captain America made me famous. As time passed, this image became a classic in the minds of a whole generation. Therefore, people are more willing to listen to me and find me reliable."

"Alright then, let's summarize these into 'intentions', 'abilities', and 'image'. 'Intentions' refer to maintaining justice and goodness and the willingness to do good deeds. 'Abilities' refer to capabilities that exceed those of ordinary people. 'Image' is the most classic and recognized image of a superhero."

"These three parts constitute a superhero. Now think, in terms of becoming a superhero, what parts have the Skrulls accomplished and what parts are they lacking?"

"They have done the best in terms of image," Steve shook his head and said, "So far, I can't see any difference between the person on the screen and myself. And I can't tell the difference between Iron Man and Spider-Man and the real ones."

"To be honest, if the two of them were to appear in front of me, I would think they're the real deal. I'm even doubting now about who's the real one and who's the fake."

Stark sneered, "Are you forgetting that we came out from Heaven together?"

"That's also the reason why I dare to sit here with you guys now. Otherwise, I would suspect whether you guys have been replaced too."

"This is exactly what the Skrulls are aiming for." Nick tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest of the sofa, "As long as you realize there might be a fake mixed in who looks completely identical to you, you would instinctively suspect that everyone is a fake."

"By undermining the trust among the Avengers at their root, they can divide and conquer."

"But at the same time, although they disguise very well in terms of the image, leaving almost no flaws, there are certain problems in the other two aspects."

"They can even mimic our powers, can't they?" Peter raised his hand to ask, "So there are no flaws in terms of abilities, right?"

"Indeed, when they imitate your powers, there really are no flaws, but the thing is, your powers themselves have certain flaws," Nick said with his hand supporting his chin, "We'll talk about your weaknesses later. The only problem is that there is only one of you, one person can only have two legs and two arms, you can't appear in two places at the same time, or you'll expose yourself."

"I think I'm beginning to see," Stark narrowed his eyes, looking at Spider-Man and Venom fighting in the middle of the screen, "Shiller is causing all these incidents just so that they won't be able to duplicate themselves."

"But what I don't understand is, what's the point of him doing this? Wouldn't it be better to just get rid of them? Why does he have to bring them to Earth and have us just sit here and watch?"
