Chapter 1138 - Chapter 761: Catwoman's Wonderful Adventure (Part 3)_3

In these modest storage rooms were stacks of various boxes- military supply cases, wooden crates, cardboard boxes- all stuffed with an array of strange objects.

Catwoman, brow furrowed and flashlight in hand, examined each item. Suddenly, with a "pop", the room filled with light.

On high-alert, Catwoman turned around, only to find Shiller standing behind her.

"Shiller? What are you doing here?" asked a puzzled Catwoman.

"I'm here to prevent you from committing a crime. Ok, that sounds a bit like Batman, but actually, I'm here to stop Batman from stopping you from committing a crime because he needs to work on his dissertation."

"Oh my God! How could he have a professor like you?" Catwoman complained somewhat dramatically, "If I had a professor like that, I'd drop out immediately!"

"Enough about that, use your flashlight, let's see what this stuff is."

Catwoman rolled her eyes but refocused her flashlight onto the boxes. As she took a step forward, something snagged her shin. Bending down, she grabbed the object and yanked it out.

"What is this? Hmm... some sort of military knife?" Catwoman inspected the object she held.

It was a curved knife, more so resembling a long dagger, adorned with numerous gemstones, lending it an air of opulence. And with her many years of appraisal experience, Catwoman knew that this was not an artifact of recent times; it had some age to it.

Suddenly, her flashlight illuminated another object, producing a strong reflection. She picked it up for a closer look- an ancient bronze mirror, which seemed like an artifact from an Asian country.

Curious, Catwoman opened another crate, a military case, only to find a Nazi logo inside.

"What on earth are these things?" Catwoman was utterly puzzled. Still, Shiller seemed to perceive something, and suggested, "Look around here and try to find the oldest item."

Catwoman was somewhat perplexed but followed his instructions. After all, she could tell the situation was becoming more eerie, transcending a simple theft and nearing the discovery of a tremendous secret.

In the end, Catwoman discovered a stone slab at the bottom of one of the boxes. She said, "This isn't merely ancient. This thing is probably as old as the dinosaurs."

Shiller glanced at the slab but didn't take it from her. He seemed to have thought of someone or something. Unsettlingly, he then started to smile at Catwoman.

"Let's get out of here," said Shiller as he headed for the exit. Catwoman, trailing behind him, noticed him casually tossing a few metal badges into a box near the door.

Just as they vacated the storeroom, returning to the bedroom, Catwoman heard an unfamiliar sound. She turned around to see Shiller pointing an umbrella at her. Soon, Shiller's voice echoed through the Goth Estate:

"I've caught Catwoman! Everyone, come here!!!"

Catwoman stared at him, dumbfounded, before hearing Shiller whisper, "If you don't want to go to jail, do as I say."

Twenty minutes later, inside the Gotham Police Department, Gordon looked at Catwoman inquiringly and asked, "You said you needed to use the phone. Who are you planning to call?"

"None of your business!" Catwoman retorted begrudgingly.

Gordon shook his head and instructed the nearby officer, "Give her the phone. I would be interested to see who you're calling. If it's that gentleman we all know, I don't think he'll be coming to bail you out."

"I'm not calling him," Catwoman picked up the receiver. Her words brought relief to Gordon, after all, if Bruce Wayne did really come to bail Catwoman out, it wouldn't sit easy with the Police Commissioner.

However, the next words out of Catwoman's mouth nearly made Gordon fall off his chair.

"Hello? Central Intelligence Agency? I'm a thief, and while I was robbing the Goth Family Manor, I found seven Soviet Guardian Medals in their safe..."

"Yes, the complete loyal and martyrdom."
