"Are you saying that you want to make a potion out of the Kree councilor?" Nick asked Shiller, frowning in the S.H.I.E.L.D. office.
"Exactly, I want to verify something." Shiller, dressed in a white lab coat, started pacing in the room and said, "Do you remember the previous conversation we had about resurrection? I suspect that the Kree might be able to be made into a potion that brings people back to life."
After the Individual Universe was reset, the previous matter of Shiller asking Connors to remind Nick to deal with the Kree never happened, so the GH Potion was never made, Coulson never died while fetching a special object, and never was resurrected after being injected with the potion.
Even though Shiller retrieved the Obelisk after the reset, it lost its original function. At first, Shiller thought Death had cut him off, but he later felt that there were many doubts about it.
If the Obelisk really was a result of Death's deal with the Kree, would Death really give up such a massive customer so easily? The Kree is one of the major empires in the universe, and the death and destruction they could cause would be immense. It didn't make sense if she just canceled the contract because of Shiller's disturbing calls!
The last time the scales were smashed, the sudden appearance of Stark spooked Death and the decline of the Egyptian Pantheon was a factor, but now, the Kree Empire is flourishing. Would Death be willing to let go?
Or, perhaps the Obelisk was just one of the phones, not essential, and the real resurrection device is still working in the Kree Empire?
Did Death just cut off one phone or did it give up this business line straight away? Shiller felt that he needed to test it.
Before the universe was reset, Shiller witnessed the process of Coulson's resurrection and he distinctly felt the presence of Death. That is to say, at that time, there were still transactions between Death and the Kree Empire.
As long as they use the Kree councilor as a material to create the GH Potion for someone's resurrection, they will be able to judge whether there are still transactions happening between Death and the Kree Empire.
Nick contemplated, he said, "First of all, making potions out of sentient beings..."
"Don't tell me you're making some moral decision?" Shiller looked surprised as he asked Nick.
Nick thought and shook his head, saying, "Stop talking nonsense, what moral decision? He's not a human. We've received several complaints from the agents about his bad attitude when he was detained."
"What I'm considering is who will be responsible for this experiment and which to withhold from knowledge of it. After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. is composed of many diverse factors. It wouldn't be right to just start an important experiment."
"I'm guessing you'll let Natasha and Coulson know and keep it from the rest." Shiller speculated, but it wasn't exactly speculation since Nick had done this once before. It had just been reset.
"No, what I'm considering is whether to tell Sharon Carter about this. After all, she is the niece of Peggy Carter, one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D., and she should be trustworthy."
Nick stood up from behind his desk and said, "Now, we're short on trustworthy people. Let's not talk about Natasha or Coulson. Ward is your man, and he's one, but all he can do is charge in. He doesn't have much of a strategic brain."
"Hill is also fine, but recently she's been dispatched, given that the Solar System construction project needs supervision, and she won't be able to come back in the short term. There's a lot of paperwork with no one to do it."
"If there were many more of you, it wouldn't be a problem, but if not, I'll have to consider who will take over clerical work."
"What about that Mark I introduced you to?" Shiller asked.
He was referring to Moon Knight. After Mark resigned from the Cia, Shiller introduced him to S.H.I.E.L.D., and he'd already worked there for a while now.
Nick shook his head, sighed, and said, "Former Cia agents are all like that. They're fine for intelligence work, but you expect them to sit at a desk and write reports?"
"Moreover, Mark comes from the Cia, so he knows their agents the best. He should be playing hide and seek with Cia agents in California State."
Nick pondered for a while and then said, "But a resurrection potion is indeed very important. Natasha will handle the preliminary experiments. Coulson definitely has moral dilemmas. Once the whole experiment officially begins, I'll let him take over."
"What about Agent Carter?" Shiller asked, adding, "I've noticed she and the Captain seem to be..."
Nick slapped his forehead and exclaimed, "Oh my God! Isn't one Coulson enough? Now we have to deal with a female Captain America? Who will I find to do the dirty work then?!"
Nick reached out his hand, saying, "I never interfere with the romantic lives of my subordinates. They can date if they want to, get married if they wish, and if they want to retire after starting a family, I won't stop them."
"But the precondition is that they cannot apply these high moral standards, which they acquired from their partners, to their work. The vast majority of agents in the world do the dirty work, and an agent who does dirty work wanting to date the world's most righteous Captain America..."
