Chapter 1032 - Chapter 699 U: Infinity Major Event (18)_1

"Time-traveled? Did I just time-travel?" Peter Parker becomes even more disbelieving, he says, "Oh, hold on, I just checked the calendar, it's December now..."

"What are you talking about? It's clearly early October, have you forgotten that you just started college?" Stark said to him.

"So, did I come to the future? But how could this happen? I clearly..."

Peter said with great confusion, his voice getting lower and lower, as if he had thought of something. The images in his mind took him back to the moment of Shiller's death.

Indescribable sadness engulfs him, feelings of grief, distress, anxiety, guilt, regret, and various other emotions surround him. But the biggest question in his mind is that he could have had the chance to prevent all this.

Before he had left his universe, Stark, Strange and Shiller gave him a large amount of magical energy, enough to feed a Cosmic Sorcerer. Yet, this energy was stored inside Peter, who had no idea how to use it.

Peter admits he didn't much care for mystical studies, was not interested in philosophical metaphors, and subsequently never thought he would need such power.

So when he saw the scene of Shiller's death, his first thought was, why didn't I study magic seriously?

Why didn't I learn how to use this energy? If I had, maybe I could have saved Doctor Schiller.

This thought might seem extreme, but at the time, Peter was controlled by various negative emotions and couldn't shake it off.

However, Peter indeed had little understanding about magic, so when the thought of learning magic came to him, he only remembered one sentence that people had once told him when they asked him to bring the Magic Energy Core to Stark — "The secret of magic lies in the will to do."

Of course Peter could understand this sentence, he hadn't expected that magic would really fulfill his wish. And at that time, the only thing he wanted was to save Shiller, to bring him back to life.

But what Peter didn't understand was, he wished for Shiller to be resurrected, so why did he time-travel to the future? If he wanted to bring a dead man back to life, wouldn't he need to time-travel to the past and change the past?

Peter didn't understand at all what was going on, but Stark's voice rang out again. He said, "Peter, modifying the timeline is a very dangerous thing. We cannot interfere with time arbitrarily, otherwise it may result in terrible consequences."

"I can't go back and help you now, but you can go and find the Stark in this timeline. Find a phone and give him a call..."

After Stark's voice disappeared, Peter looked around and rushed to his neighbor's house at the fastest speed. Peter Parker was very popular, so the neighbor didn't hesitate to lend him the phone.

"Hello? Mr. Stark, it's me..."

The voice of Stark on the other end of the line was a bit surprised. He said, "What's wrong? Peter, are you home so quickly? Didn't I remind you not to drive too fast?"

"Um, I... no... I mean, well... on the way, I ran into two friends, one of them got injured... was badly injured, he needs emergency rescue now..."

"You should call an ambulance... never mind, you wait."

After hanging up, Peter returned to Amazing Spiderman's side, he said: "Wait a moment, Mr. Stark will be here soon."

Soon, a "whoosh" and Iron Man landed in front of Peter in his armor. He was just about to open his mouth, but saw another person standing next to Peter dressed in a battlesuit of similar color.

"This is your friend?" Stark asked, "Is he your impersonator?"

"Well, sort of, um, Mr. Stark, please save him first." Peter pointed at Dr. Octavius Parker, looking at the familiar spider pattern on Octavius Parker's clothes, Stark shook his head, and while calling two battle armors, he said: "I didn't expect you to have so many fans, you're almost catching up with me."

Peter gave an awkward laugh, then activated his suit's Iron Armor, suddenly, Stark's eyes filled with surprise, he looked at Peter and said: "Oh my God, did you make this yourself?"

"Isn't this your..." Peter looked at Stark very confusedly. These mechanical devices on his battlesuit were made by Stark for him before he left.

"Okay, kid, don't be humble, I know, I didn't pick you wrong, I know, one day you will surpass me, but I didn't expect this day to come so quickly." Stark walked up and patted Peter on the shoulder.

His face was showing complex emotions, but what prevailed was reassurance. Peter was confused, the future Stark didn't know about the battlesuit, what happened?

Logically speaking, if this was the future of his universe, Stark would have definitely experienced Spider Man's Multiverse journey. It's been over a month, he wouldn't have forgotten this, would he?

Looking at the Armor worn by Stark, Peter was certain that it was his own universe because the Stark of this universe wore various types of armors, not just the classic gold-red, there were silver-blue and dark green ones as well.

At this moment, the Iron Armor that Stark was wearing was a blend of silver and blue, much thinner than the golden-red "tin can". Most parts of the suit, excluding the joints, lay open. Peter had never heard any Spider Man from the other worlds say that their Iron Man had such battle armor.

Peter scratched his head in the same spot, but eventually, he followed Stark.

When they reached the familiar lab, Peter, taking advantage of Stark's absence, began to go through the experiment records. Seeing the data from previous experiments he had been unable to calculate, clearly written in the results, Peter felt certain this was indeed the future of their cosmos.

Because he knew that in other universes, Doctor Connors was the Lizard, their enemy. But now, written clearly on these experiment files, it stated that Connors was in charge of the project.

Moreover, Peter had been conducting these experiments just before he left, he knew every piece of data thoroughly. Seeing no difference between the details and his memory, he was sure this couldn't be another universe.

But what confused him most was that Stark didn't seem to know about his travel to the multiverse. What was going on? Had Stark lost his memory?

As Peter was thinking about the cause and effect, Stark returned without his battle armor, and asked, "What's the deal with your two friends? Excuse me for asking, but are they possessed or something? Not only their battle armor, but even their voices and appearances closely resemble you. I thought they were your relatives."

"Well... they are indeed my fans and maybe… because they have imitated me for a long time, they started to resemble me..." Peter apologized, explaining as best as he could, after all, he couldn't tell Stark that the two were also Spider Man.

Stark said wryly, "I never had such dedicated impersonators. I've been so busy lately, haven't had time to patrol the New York Sky. Seems like New Yorkers are starting to forget about the mighty Iron Man."

After saying that, Stark left. Just as Peter was about to investigate, a portal suddenly lit up in mid-air.

Strange walked through the portal and said as he walked, "Stark, hasn't Schiller returned yet? I have a case over here... Oh, Peter, you're here. I thought you were in class."

"Of course I'm here, wait a minute ... What did you just say? Schiller?"

Strange was stunned by the intensity of his tone. He looked Peter up and down and asked, "Schiller? What about Schiller?"

Suddenly, as if Strange understood something, he said, "Schiller didn't tell you anything, right? No matter what he said, you should just forget about it..."

"Schiller… Doctor Schiller... where is he now?!" Peter asked excitedly, but then he just stood there as if in a stupor, murmuring, "No, it's impossible, didn't he already... "

Strange gave Spider Man a peculiar look, and Peter continued to ask, "Is Doctor Schiller not dead? Where is he now?"

"Why would he die? Didn't he just depart for another vacation? Just like before, once he leaves, he's gone for over a month..."

Peter was completely baffled. Supposedly, they were in the future timeline. If Schiller hadn't died in the future, that means he never died.

Although it sounded like a redundant statement, a man couldn't die in the past and then be alive in the future. If he was alive in the future, that means he hadn't died in the past. But Peter had witnessed with his own eyes, Schiller was dead.

Moreover, Strange's attitude seemed a bit odd, like they were hiding something. Peter wanted to ask more, but Strange ran off like his pants were on fire.

Peter was left puzzled but just then the Amazing Spiderman came over. He said, "I can't believe, those robots created by this world's Iron Man... My God, are those really controllable? I saw them carry the Superior Spider-Man into a weird medical pod, is that really able to treat wounds?"

Peter seemed a bit dazed. The Amazing Spiderman knew him well; he'd also been through all this. So he knew how to appease him.

He went over, put his arm around Peter's shoulder and said, "Stop thinking about all these unsettling things. Give me a tour of your universe, it looks very different here."

"Oh yes, probably… because of Doctor Schiller," Peter shook his head, looking out the window he added, "He has done and changed a lot. He is a great man, he shouldn't have... "

"Enough, let's touch the New York Sky and see if there's anyone who needs help. You've been in the cosmos for so long, maybe some criminals are rampaging in New York City again?"

Amazing Spider-Man tried his best to divert Peter's attention. Peter allowed himself to be led to the window by the Amazing Spider-Man. He swung out right away by shooting a spider silk thread. Instinctively, Peter did the same.

The New York Sky was still blue, the late autumn breeze gently touching Peter's face, but it felt like a biting chill. His attention only returned to the present when the Amazing Spider-Man suddenly cried out.

"Oh my god, what is that?"

Following his gaze, Peter saw a small figure jumping between the skyscrapers. But unlike him, this figure used not spider silk, but four mechanical tentacles on its back. It was then that Amazing-Spiderman shouted:

"Doctor Octopus!! Stop!!!"
