Chapter 1003 - Chapter 680 Buzzing Buzzing Buzzing (Part 1)_1

In the office of Arkham Hospital, Shiller, who had just arrived, was checking the information registered the day before.

Suddenly, his phone in his pocket buzzed. Picking it up and placing it against his ear, Shiller recognised Strange's voice on the other end.

"Shiller, there's a manpower shortage at the Holy Sanctuary. Earlier, some mages and customer service personnel were transferred to manage deposit services. Once the insurance business takes off, we're completely understaffed. Every team leader is complaining about this manpower shortage to me!"

Strange stretched out his arm, gesturing to the side, saying, "This season's top salesman told me that if he doesn't get more manpower, he would rather go back to prison than continue his job here. Just now, the leader of Group Three called me. His team members know nothing about insurance sales, they were almost tricked by a Demon God…"

"Shiller, please, think of something quickly. A day's delay equates a day's loss in performance. If the annual report looks too unimpressive, Loki will laugh at me!"

Shiller leisurely switched the phone to his other hand, casually saying while writing medical records, "Short staffed? Go find Nick, don't come to me!"

Having said that, he hung up the phone. Just as he put down his phone, it rang again, the buzzing ringtone causing Shiller to frown. He picked up the phone again, this time the voice on the other end belonged to Nick.

"Shiller, tell me, Hydra has been developing for so many years, how are there just a handful of members? Guess how many people they sent me last month? They sent barely 30 agents!"

Nick folded his hands together, tapping them while speaking, "The United Nations established a Solar System Development Program's Supervisory Team, with twenty-two team members. I have to appoint at least ten agents in there, right?"

"My base was damaged before due to your actions and needs refurbishing. The Sky Carrier also needs maintenance, requiring at least 30 individuals for a complete maintenance team!"

"We are fully collaborating with Karmatiji, so we need at least ten agents to liaise with the mages."

"Even more importantly, how can I apply to Congress for a salary increase program for 30,000 people without having 300 agents on duty?"

"The entirety of Hydra in the Americas only adds up to just over 100 members, even as the leader, I can only send 90 to the S.H.I.E.L.D. at most, what about the remaining vacancies??"

Just as Shiller was about to respond, he heard Nick on the other side saying, "I heard from Strange that you're of German descent, isn't this perfect? You can go back to Germany, inherit Little Mustache's legacy, and receive all of Hydra's heritage - that should at least bring in 500 people who can work, right?"

Shiller took a deep breath and responded, "Stop calling me!"

After saying this, he angrily slapped his phone onto the table, then pulled out a pen, blew on the tip, straightened his body, and prepared to start writing.

Suddenly, a recurring "buzzing" sound came from the side. Shiller turned his head abruptly, looking at the ringing phone.

He took a deep breath, slammed his pen onto the table, picked up the phone and said, "Regardless of who you are, if you know me, you should know that I extremely despise receiving multiple calls within a day. Stop calling me!!"

After saying this, he hung up the phone.

About two minutes later, with a loud "bang," the glass behind him shattered, and Iron Man, clad in his Iron Armor, flew in, crossed his arms, and said to Shiller, "I've heard Peter say that you dislike picking up the phone, but I didn't realize your symptoms were this severe…"

Shiller glanced at the broken floor-to-ceiling window, then turned to look at Stark and asked, "What's the matter?"

"Peter has been feeling unwell recently…"

Stark was reminded of the events from the night before.

Last night, Loki called him to say that Frigga was very worried about Helen and wanted Helen to stay in Asgard for a few days. From the descriptions shared by Thor and Loki, Stark knew that Frigga was an extremely dedicated mother - certainly more so than Odin.

Stark also knew that Helen getting into trouble over electricity theft was also because he and Pepper were too busy recently and hadn't been paying enough attention to Helen.

However, with the Solar System Development Program in full swing, they simply didn't have the time to spare. With that in mind, it wouldn't be an issue if Helen stayed with Frigga for a few days.

But Helen has been playing with Pikachu recently, and Pikachu has been spending a lot of time with Peter, so Stark called Peter, wanting him to send Helen to the Holy Sanctuary.

Stark picked up his phone and dialed Peter's number, but after several busy tones, Peter did not pick up.

Stark looked down at his watch, it was a few minutes past ten at night. While it was not technically working hours, for a young man like Peter, he was probably just turning on his game console, grabbing the controller, readying himself for a few rounds of intense gaming.

Plus, Peter has Spider-Sense. Before the phone rings, he can sense it and will be ready by the phone. Stark had so many calls with him and never once had Peter not picked up instantly. But this time, Peter hadn't answered the call?

Stark frowned, he dialed once more. After two busy tones, the call finally connected, but an unfamiliar female voice came through from the other side, saying: "Hello, this is the Parker household. Who are you looking for?"
