Chapter 6 - Ch. 6 Axis Holy Empire Part 3

The meeting place was a grand and solemn room, where the Pope, as the head of the Axis Holy Empire, was seated with a council of high-ranking priests and priestesses by his side, and theres also fuyuki accompanying the Pope smiling towards them.

At the center of the room stood a magnificent statue of the goddess of light, 'Cahaya' beautifully carved in a graceful praying pose. The statue depicted the goddess in a serene and ethereal form, with downcast eyes and folded hands, radiating a sense of divine tranquility.

The Pope, a venerable figure with a gentle yet commanding presence, welcomed the delegation from the Solomon kingdom. He spoke with a tone of deep reverence and spiritual conviction. "As the Pope of this holy empire," he continued, "I believe it is the grace of the goddess who has guided you here to our humble empire."

"Thank you so much for your hospitality your Holiness, my Name is Emily Howard Hamilton the 3th princess of the Solomon Kingdom, I'm sorry for a short notice for our arrival"

"Its fine... There is nothing to worry about, years ago in order to vanquish the evil demons, our country estabelish an alliance, so I'm gladly to see the bright future between our country together. "

"Me too your Holiness, and regarding to th-"

"I know.. Your seek help for the wars between Euresia and Majiid Empire right? "

"Yes, your Holiness.. "

"We, the Axis Holy Empire, do not like wars to occur between human beings," he said, "but we have no right to intervene in such disputes, and we are forbidden from taking action in any way."

"Im sorry your Holiness, we didn't start this war, Euresia kingdom was being attacked by them, and we Solomon Kingdom as a faithful ally will depend them until our last breath"

The Pope nodded gravely, acknowledging the difficult situation the Solomon kingdom was facing. "I understand that you are not the aggressors in this conflict," he responded, his voice filled with empathy. "The fact that the Euresia kingdom has been attacked by them puts you in a difficult position, and I offer my deepest condolences for the hardships you must be enduring."

The Pope's expression shifted like he was very deeply regretting things, as he explained the limitations imposed on him by the rules of the Goddess of Light's teachings. "Regrettably, the teachings of the Goddess of Light forbid us from intervening in such matters," he said, his voice filled with a mixture of frustration and sadness. "We are bound by these teachings, and we cannot go against them."

"Your Holiness.. Innocent lives were lost.. And theres many your priests being killed in the Euresia kingdom, you can't turn your eyes blind with this"

The Pope sighed heavily, recognizing the pain and devastation the war had inflicted upon the innocent lives lost and the violence perpetrated against the priests in the Euresia kingdom. "I understand your concern for the loss of innocent lives and the harm inflicted upon our priests," he said, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.

"But once again, we are bound by the teachings of the Goddess of Light. The Goddess forbids us to intervene in matters such as war and violence. To go against these teachings is a sins and it was forbidden."

"Then why do you joins the wars between the demons? And the great wars that occurred between neighborhood countries 247 years ago? "

The Pope blinked in surprise, taken aback by the unexpected questions. The room went quiet, and the audience exchanged puzzled glances. After a moment, the Pope responded calmly "I understand how this may seem contradictory, my child," he began. "However, the war against the demons is different in nature from a conflict between human nations."

"The demonic forces pose a unique threat to all of us, and represent an existential danger to humanity. As the Axis Holy Empire, it is our sacred duty to defend mankind against such pure evil force."

"However, the wars than happened 247 years ago was A matter of self-defense and divine intervention"

"The Goddess of Light herself guided our hand in those battles. In those instances, our intervention was sanctioned by the Goddess."

Hearing this the princess couldn't believe what she heard, such a double standard was being used, "why don't just admitted it directly that they didn't want to help us, instead of hiding behind the excuses of goddess teachings" The princess tought as the feelings of disappointment swelling up within her.

"Im sorry your Holiness.. But this is a matter of innocent life's, and i believe in the gooddes of light teaching, we should extend our hand to the people who needs it right..?"

"Yes thats absolutely right my child.. "

The princess pleaded earnestly, her voice filled with concern and sadness. "Please, Your Holiness," she ask, her tone filled with desperation. "I beg you to extend your hand to those who find themselves in dire need. Provide them with the essential resources like food and healing, especially for the poor citizens of the Euresia kingdom. In their time of distress, such aid could bring salvation and hope to those who are suffering."

The Pope pondering the princess's request carefully in his mind, recognizing the gravity of the decision. Providing aid, even if it was "vague intervention," could potentially entangle the Axis Holy Empire in the conflict and go against its teachings. He was aware that doing so would have serious impact and potential consequences joining the wars between them.

After a while, the Pope spoke softly, his voice filled with compassion and understanding. "My child," he said gently, "would you like to pray to the Goddess of Light? Once you have finished praying, I will answer that question."

Emily, the princess, pondered why the Pope would suggest praying to the Goddess of Light. However, after considering it carefully, she realized it might be the only solution. If the Goddess were to grant a sign during her prayers, maybe the Axis Holy Empire would reconsider its stance and join the war.

However, there was also the possibility that the Goddess wouldn't grant any sign and the Pope decides to not provide any help at all.

"Yes your Holiness, I will try to pray to the goddes of light"

"Good, then follow us"

After a while, as Emily and her escorts was led through the halls towards the prayer room, she couldn't help but notice the numerous statues of the Goddess of Light that filled the space. The statues depicted the goddess with her hands clasped in prayer, and some even portrayed her in a crying position, conveying a sense of deep devotion and despair.

She also noticed the numerous unfamiliar words etched into the walls. Even one of her escorts, who were well-versed in many languages, found themselves puzzled by them. Alongside the mysteries words, they also encountered a beautiful and disturbing paintings that further added to their confusion.

Out of nowhere, when she was mesmerized by those paintings and statues. Emily was startled by a magical voice that suddenly reached out to her.

"Your highness.. "

It belonged to the High Priestess Fuyuki, who was attempting to communicate with her through magical means. The unexpected intrusion caught Emily off guard, leaving her momentarily taken aback by the unexpected contact.

"Your highness, please don't pray earnestly, don't think anything about the goddes"

"Why?"

"Please... It's for all of us"

Emily found herself bewildered by the message from the High Priestess Fuyuki. Confusion and disbelief welled up within her as she tried to make sense of the unexpected communication "What do you mean? Is it gonna brainwashing me? "

"No... Please just do what I said"

"Tell me? Is it gonna hurt me? "

"No.. Please.. "

Without warning, the communication was being terminated, leaving Emily confused. She attempted to catch a glimpse of the High Priestess Fuyuki who was walking ahead of her, but before she could do so, they had reached the entrance to the prayer room.

The Pope gestured for Emily to follow him, his voice filled with gentle guidance. "My child," he said softly, "come with me into the prayer room, and let the Goddess answer your prayers." With a gracious wave of his hand, he dismissed everyone else, instructing them to wait outside the room.

Before entering the prayer room, Emily and Fuyuki made eye contact, and Emily noticed a fleeting expression of deep sadness on Fuyuki's face. "Why do you have that expression?" Emily tought, She couldn't help but wonder what could have caused such expressions on Fuyuki's face.

Suddenly the door closed behind them, Emily and the Pope found themselves alone in the prayer room, separated from the outside world. She couldn't help to ponder why she looks like that, "what kinda things waiting for me?"

*Taak

As Emily followed the Pope into the prayer room, the sound of their footsteps echoed softly through the sacred space. In the center of the chamber stood a majestic statue of the Goddess of Light, her hands clasped together in an act of prayer.

It feels like the statue looking and watching their every move, its presence filling the air with a sense of holyness and a mysterious feeling.

The Pope gestured for Emily to kneel and clasp her hands in a gesture of prayer. Following suit, he also do the appropriate position and began the process of communing with the Goddess through prayer.

"Repeat after me my child.. Oh goddes of light 'Cahaya i'"

"Oh Goddes of light Cahaya-....
