Delilah stood before the large gates of the witch kingdom. Though Ericson was the prince, since he was bringing a member of another species, a respected guest, he needed to give her a good and respectful welcome in the kingdom.
"She would be here soon," Ericson told Delilah when he thought she might grow impatient because his mom wasn't already waiting at the door for her.
He had told her they couldn't afford to waste much time or make her wait. However, it looked like his mother didn't care about it.
Soon, the large gates opened, and when he was about to contact his mother, Queen Cecilia walked forward.
"It's our pleasure to have you here, Miss Delilah," Queen Cecilia said. Delilah looked up and noticed slow flakes, like confetti, falling on her.
Her expression remained stern before she nodded.
"You don't have to do all this. Let's get down to work. I am sure your daughter can use some saved-up time," Delilah said.
