Chapter 70 - Adventurers' Mundane Night!

After dinner, Riveria returned to the Familia residence with Luke and Ais.

The time until bedtime was free for activities.

As Ais lived with Riveria, she followed her back to the room.

According to Riveria's intention, she seemed to plan on teaching Ais some basic knowledge before bedtime.

After all, at Ais's current age, the required growth wasn't just about combat; basic education was also crucial.

In the front courtyard of the Twilight Manor, Luke found a tree and lay down on the grass underneath, quietly gazing at the starry sky.

The nights in this world were a bit dull for Luke.

First, he couldn't pass the time with high-intensity training like he did in Asterisk City.

The reason was explained by Finn earlier: the noise from training would disturb other Familia members, especially at night.

Secondly, he was temporarily prohibited from entering the dungeon alone.

Of course, this prohibition wasn't mandatory but rather a suggestion from Loki and Finn.

They were mainly concerned that Luke, if left alone in the dungeon, might uncontrollably delve deeper.

Without a detailed understanding of the dungeon, such actions could pose a danger.

Luke could indeed ignore their advice, taking responsibility for his own safety and actions.

In this regard, no one could say he was wrong.

However, Loki and Finn were well-intentioned, genuinely caring for Luke's well-being, not wanting him to meet an untimely end in the dungeon.

So, Luke had no intention of rejecting this goodwill expressed by the Loki Familia.

Moreover, Luke truly didn't have much knowledge about the dungeon.

The original work's introduction to the dungeon was mostly vague.

Curiosity is inherent in everyone, and individuals with strength, like them, tend to develop curiosity into an adventurous spirit to some extent.

Luke knew himself, and Finn's concern was not entirely unfounded.

If he were to enter the dungeon alone, after confirming that the current floor posed no threat to him, he would surely proceed to explore deeper floors.

Unable to train, unable to go to the dungeon— in this world without any internet and even the absence of electricity, there were not just a few but almost no options to pass the time at night.

So he lay on the grass, gazing at the stars like he was doing now.

"Are you here? How does it feel to enter the dungeon for the first time?"

As Luke was somewhat bored, staring blankly at the sky, he heard Finn's voice beside him.

Finn walked over and also lay down on the grass, looking up at the stars alongside Luke.

It seemed like Finn had just finished some Familia work and came out to relax.

He happened to notice Luke here and struck up a conversation.

"Well... to be honest, nothing special."

After careful consideration, Luke expressed his somewhat helpless feelings to Finn.

"Haha, I guess so. The first floor must be quite dull for you."

Hearing Luke's 'honest' answer, Finn smiled a bit happily.

"But you actually had the patience to stay on the first floor with Riveria for the whole afternoon, and without a single complaint. I'm actually quite surprised."

In Finn's expectation, young individuals with formidable strength like Luke usually wouldn't have much patience.

He had prepared many arguments in advance, but now it seemed he didn't need any of them.

Luke turned his head, glanced at Finn, and remained silent.

"By the way, was there something that happened in the dungeon today? When I saw you guys coming back, the atmosphere among the three of you seemed a bit tense."

Seeing that Luke wasn't planning to respond, Finn smiled and shifted the topic elsewhere.

This time, Luke had a surprised reaction.

He glanced at Finn, slightly puzzled, and asked, "Didn't Riveria tell you? "

He had assumed that Riveria would report this matter to Loki and Finn right away.

However, it seemed Finn wasn't aware?

In response to Luke's question, Finn answered with a wry smile.

"Loki should definitely know about it. But since she didn't tell me, it means it's not something serious."

"As for why Riveria didn't tell me..."

At this point, Finn seemed somewhat hesitant.

"I can only say that although our relationship has somewhat improved recently, it's not as friendly as it seems to you. If it weren't for Familia relationship, the three of us would probably still be in a hostile relationship."

Finn's explanation reminded Luke that there was indeed such a history.

Initially, Finn, Riveria, and Gareth were mutually hostile due to racial reasons, gradually evolving into a camaraderie overtime.

After understanding the situation, Luke explained today's events to Finn.

"..."

"I see, no wonder Riveria didn't tell me."

After learning about the situation, Finn felt reassured.

"Riveria didn't do anything wrong in this matter. If it were me, I would probably make the same choice."

"As for Ais, if Loki hasn't taken any action, it means there's nothing to worry about."

As the Familia's god in charge, Loki could perceive the emotional changes within Familia members.

If this incident had a lasting impact on Ais, Loki, as her god, would have noticed the problem at a glance and taken immediate action.

Now that Loki hadn't said or done anything, it indicated that the impact wasn't that severe.

Perhaps Ais could come to terms with it on her own.

Luke and Finn continued to lie on the courtyard's grass, chatting aimlessly.

And thus, Luke's first day in this world officially came to an end.

In the following days, Luke's life became monotonous.

After a simple morning workout, he would join Riveria and Ais in the dungeon to "grind monsters."

They would return to the surface for dinner in the evening and then spend time at the Familia residence until bedtime.

During this time, their progress was much faster than that of regular adventurers.

In just a week, they had reached the 5th floor from the 1st floor.

This was partly due to Ais's young age, as Riveria restricted them from advancing too quickly to subsequent floors.

Otherwise, they could have delved even deeper.
