Chapter 29 - Tyrant/King of Evil!
There was no need to embarrass the members of the 'Cat' too much. Though the other party followed him for a while, they did not show any malice and simply followed orders.
Following the other party's guidance, Luke came to a coffee shop.
The 'King of Evil' Dirk Eberwein, despite being the current student council president of Rewolf Black Institute, is not a Genestellar, nor does he possess any special powers. He is truly an ordinary person.
It's just that he has a keen intellect that ordinary people don't possess.
Dirk is the first person in history to serve as the student council president of Rewolf Black Institute as an ordinary person who is not a Genestellar.
Dirk is skilled in political and strategical matters, carefully using people, words, and tools to further his own ambitions.
His talent lies not in allowing himself to win but in belittling and framing others, thereby causing others to lose.
He is a notorious villain, but because he has always acted cautiously, he has never faced fatal consequences.
And now, Luke is sitting across from this city-famous villain.
"So, the famous 'King of Evil' just invited me here to have a cup of coffee."
Nearly half an hour had passed since Luke came to this coffee shop and sat down.
During this period, he ordered a cup of coffee and some snacks without any politeness at all. Though it was a bit late, it could still be considered breakfast time.
While he was eating breakfast, Dirk, sitting across from him, observed him without saying a word.
To be honest, it didn't feel good to be watched by a grown man while eating, but after all, it was the other party's treat, so Luke didn't intend to care so much.
Now that breakfast is finished, if Dirk is still so silent, then he is ready to leave. He has no interest in sitting here with a man all day long.
"Tsk, then I'll go straight to the point."
As if seeing that Luke didn't have the patience to spend time with him here, Dirk smacked his lips and said.
"Why are you able to use 'Ser-Veresta'."
It's not like Dirk hasn't thought about obtaining relevant information through some of his usual 'underhanded' methods.
But the other party is also a disciple of the 'Banyuu Tenra', and according to the intelligence, he seems to be quite popular.
To take a step back, even if the 'Banyuu Tenra' would not interfere in these trivial matters, Dirk would not dare to act rashly simply by looking at the strength Luke has revealed to the outside world.
So he could only put aside those useless temptations and underhanded tactics and come to see Luke in person.
"Even if you ask me why I can use it, I have nothing to say. I just picked it up and got its approval."
Of course, Luke knew what Dirk wanted to ask, and he also knew exactly what the other person was worried about, but Luke was not interested in their plans.
"Tsk, that's really troublesome."
Dirk was obviously very dissatisfied with Luke's lackluster answer, but there was nothing he could do for the time being.
"I didn't use any tricks here. I came to talk to you in person honestly. It's enough to show my sincerity. Don't give me such an obvious answer!"
"How dare you say that? Do you think I can't feel it?"
Hearing Dirk's words of 'sincerity,' Luke wanted to laugh out loud.
There was a creepy feeling from outside the coffee shop. Dirk obviously looked down on him to think it was sincere.
Dirk frowned and said helplessly: "That's insurance. Don't forget, I'm an ordinary person here."
Hearing Dirk's explanation, Luke was stunned for a moment, because he had indeed forgotten that the other person was an ordinary person.
The main reason is that the title of 'King of Evil' is really scary. In Asterisk city, this title can be said to be the ancestor of conspiracy.
Although he was wary, Luke really didn't think about it for a while. As an ordinary person, why did Dirk want to meet Luke?
When both parties are not sure whether they are friends or foes, it would be a real fool to come alone without taking any precautions.
Thinking of this, Luke sighed, although he didn't know if this was Dirk's deliberate move.
But it was true that he misunderstood the other party first. At least on the surface, Dirk came with 'sincerity,' and then Luke rejected him first.
If this conversation ends here, then this matter can be characterized as Luke taking the initiative to show hostility to Dirk, or at least not intending to accept the other party's kindness.
If Luke and Dirk are on opposing sides, this matter can be a small matter.
"At least for now, I have no intention of interfering with your affairs."
In fact, despite Dirk's villainous appearance, Luke really has no conflict with him for the time being.
No matter what Dirk and the others are plotting, it is impossible for them to take action against one of the current top Genestellar of the world, Banyuu Tenra.
And as long as they don't have animosity towards Fan Xinglu, Luke won't care about Dirk and his group.
Luke's remaining social relationships can be said to be very few.
I believe Dirk knows this very well, so he came to see Luke in person.
There is currently no conflict between the two, and even because of Fan Xinglu's existence, if they can cooperate with Luke, that is the result Dirk hopes to see most.
Dirk was relieved to find that Luke understood what he meant.
Just as his title as the 'King of Evil' made Luke wary, how could the alias of Luke's 'Extreme Swordsman' not put any pressure on Dirk.
As he said, he was quite 'sincere' if he dared to come to meet Luke in person.
Apart from anything else, if Luke wanted to kill him with a sword now, no one could say whether Orphelia could stop him in time, even if she was prepared outside in advance.
After all, in the eyes of outsiders, the title "Extreme Swordsman" represents a terrifying existence that can fight against "Banyuu Tenra."
"So about 'Ser-Veresta'…"
Seeing that both parties had initially understood each other's intentions, Dirk brought the topic back to the main point.
Hearing Dirk bring the topic back again, Luke knew that if he didn't explain this issue, today's conversation might eventually break down.
After he participated in the 'Lindwurm' this year and completed the main mission, he could return to the main god space. Before that, he didn't want to cause any trouble as much as possible.
From the current point of view, Dirk has no conflict of interest with him, so it would be worthwhile to explain to him in exchange for a short-term friendly relationship between the two parties.
